I have bought two puppies here and I couldn't be happier. I was a bit skeptical but I did an Embark DNA test on both dogs and they were both 100% purebred and had no genetic defects and were not inbred. I absolutely love shopping at the store. Came in here purely for fish, and was walking by the tanks and it splashed, looked up to see what it was- it was a huge red tailed catfish in the smallest little tank. They immediately LAUGHED at me like I was some dumb human and pointed to the return policy which was UNDER the desk like I would know. This is my favorite pet store when it comes to purchasing Beta fish. Every time I come to this store all of the animals are well taken care of and seem happy. The store has its own pond filled with outdoor fish, and you can tell the workers spend a lot of time socializing with the fish because they are extremely friendly. There is also a parrot in the store which is just as friendly. Boycott! They sell puppy mill dogs. By supporting Pet Express in Lynn and now in Danvers, you are supporting animal suffering. Pet Express buys dogs from puppy mills in the midwest. Their puppies, while cute: * Are inbred * Carry falsified AKC registration papers * Do NOT meet the breed standard * Carry preventable genetic defects How do we know this? We bought a dog at Pet Express 4 years ago for $700. Do yourself a favor and go to the Animal Rescue League or MSPCA or any of the hundreds of dog rescue groups online where you can adopt a dog for about $200-$350 and save a dog from euthanization. Our dog from Pet Express is fine, but the "breeder" papers given to us were a lie -- they were fabricated and came from a puppy mill. The dog was supposed to be a pure breed long haired Dachshund per the sales rep, but was actually a Chihuahua - Yorkie - Dachshund mix. That was fine - we still love him, but false on the part of the store. Hopefully you will adopt (message me and I will help you find a non-profit rescue org). If you do buy a dog from here anyhow, please research your pups origins by calling the breeder and the AKC to verify legitimacy, verify what happens to unsold dogs (they will tell you they are all sold or adopted, but unfortunately many end up at shelters for euthanization), and make sure your pup is healthy. read more

I'm not sure what to expect from pet stores, but they exceeded expectations for me. I went with my sister to look at puppies and kittens and then BAM! she decides she wants to buy this little furball that's lounging right next to me. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They don't push you to buy, but have such enthusiasm talking about kittens or puppies that you can tell they are passionate about animals. After you decide to purchase a pet, they take you around their store to purchase the necessary items you need to be a responsible pet owner. They also have this deal with their veterinary clinic that offers a free physical within 7 days of purchasing (apparently you have to take the kitten to be checked out within the week) and half off for spaying/neutering, if you decide to keep them as your animal hospital. It's a nice deal for all parties I think. I had such a pleasant time here, they were knowledgeable staff not pushy sales people that I would definitely come again for pet needs or questions. read more

Have been searching for a well-suited puppy throughout the months prior to finally purchasing one at this local pet store, Pet Express, located both in Lynn, MA and Danvers, MA. Fell in love with a puppy and immediately had to bring her home even though i do not believe in buying from a pet store. After a few months, normal check-ups, nothing was wrong, she is perfect. I decided to research the so called "breeder" and location where she was from. Turns out the breeder, Brad Grotewold, is a puppy mill owner !! We got a puppy from Pet Express at the end of Dec. for $1000. After only 20 days he had to be put to sleep due to what the doctor said was distemper virus. The store has been not only defensive about the terrible situation, but also unable to offer any advice aside from "make sure you send in an application for a warranty" Most likely our pup got sick on the ride up from Missouri with hundreds of other dogs in the back of an 18 wheeler. It's been a painful/expensive experience just getting attached to an animal and having him get sick so quickly. DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM PET EXPRESS IN DANVERS! My fiance and I bought a black lab from Pet Express in Danvers in the summer of 2010. He was acting very quiet there and a little goofy, but they said he is just being shy for a puppy and he doesn't have good enough balance yet. Later that week, we went to the Vet in Lynn that is "free" because they work with the store and said our lab was very healthy. LIARS LIARS! What a scam. A couple weeks later, our poor lab become very sick and lethargic. We then took him to a real vet and they found a liver shunt in his stomach. They said he would need surgery or he will die in a month. He was born with this liver shunt due to his mother having a liver shunt at the PUPPY MILL that Pet Express uses. The surgery would cost us 7,500 dollars and we had to go to New York City to get it done. 7,500 was only the surgery, with the meds and all the late night ER trips, Pet Express in Danvers has cost us upwards to 20,000 dollars in total. We did get the "warranty" from pet protection and got 1000 dollars back, GREAAAAAAT!!!!!! About 19,000 short. Thankfully thanks to our bank account, our lab is now doing good but PLEASE BOYCOTT THIS PLACE AND DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THERE, PLEASE PASS ALONG OUR STORY TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. P.S. First off, I need to preface this by saying that I did NOT purchase a dog or any other animal here. I already have two wonderful dogs, both of them rescues from local shelters. I've noticed that most of the negative reviews are about animal purchases, so I just wanted to put that out there up front :-) I am reviewing the products and store experience as well as the Pet Spa located in their Lynn location. I recently found this place and I'm glad I did because they carry the dry food that I use for my pups (Evo), and they are a 5 minute drive from my house, so I no longer have to make 20-30 minute drives into Boston to get pet food. Yes, I am kind of a food snob when it comes to feeding my dogs -- nothing but the best for them, and if you are a good pet owner and do your research about pet food, you will find out that brands like Iams, Science Diet, etc., are NOT good dog food brands. Of course, your dog will eat them, but that's just because they don't know better. Please, be kind to your dogs and help extend their life and improve their health by feeding them premium, quality dog food. Pet Express carries a lot of the 'better' brands -- in addition to Evo, there's California Natural, Solid Gold, Innova, etc. They don't just carry dry and wet food, but also organic and healthy dog treats (my dogs' favorite is Zuke's) as well as toys, chews, rawhides. etc. Now, don't get me wrong, this stuff is all more expensive than the stuff you'd find at a Petco or PetSmart, but like I said, it's worth it. I love the variety of brands they carry, and though more expensive than non-premium stuff, the prices are fair and reasonable for the product. The store is also very nicely organized and clean, two things I can really appreciate. We also brought our two dogs here to be groomed in their Pet Spa. Please note that they don't groom on Sundays and as you can imagine, they're quite busy on Saturdays (and are closed by 6pm during weekdays), so call ahead if you want a Saturday appointment. Neither of our dogs have long hair that needs grooming, so we got them both baths, and they had their ears and bum cleaned, and their nails clipped. They both came out smelling nice and fresh, with cute bandannas tied around their necks, looking as happy as can be. The groomer commented on how well behaved they were, and I was glad to hear they were happy the whole time they were there. if you are a first-time customer, bring your vet papers with you, because you will need to show proof that your animal has all the requisite shots in order to be groomed. The cost varies per dog, but we paid $38 for our larger dog and $32 for our smaller dog. Of course, it is impossible to walk into the store without being immediately drawn to their wall of adorable puppies. I felt bad for them, watching them run around and get all excited in their glass enclosures. It breaks my heart that they have to be in there, but I know they will all find homes eventually, so that eases my heart a little. The staff here is also friendly and helpful. We like coming here and bringing the dogs with us. We let them sniff around and "choose" their own treats, and the staff is always friendly with them, giving them belly rubs and treats. read more

My dog and cat are both rescues. Not from here. Also, they no longer have pets just fish and maybe a bird. It's mostly supplies and grooming. Grooming is why I'm here now. She is amazing. My buddy Bandit jack Russell/hound mix loves coming here for his nails and grooming. He knows exactly where he is and what's going to happen. He sees the groomer and he instantly forgets who I am. Ok, I have to admit I'm a little biased, my lovely english mastiff was purchased through Pet Express so they're pretty much amazing in my eyes.... Its a great store, totally dedicated to anything you could possible need for your pets, or not realize you need at first! Their kittens and puppies come from breeders, not mills, and they have 'dog finders' who will work with you to get a specific breed or tempered animal, cutting out a lot of the leg work that comes with finding a healthy, happy puppy. We've been exceptionally please with our baby! The staff there is very knowledgable and engaging--obviously they have a natural love of animals too...it's nice to get to take your four-legged family members out and enjoy good service no matter how many bones said dog might try to inhale in the process of shopping! read more

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! Although we are absolutely in love with our new pup that we purchased from this awfully run Establishment, she had 5 different infections when brought to the vet just 2 days after her purchase. We had tried to talk to anyone at the store to help with the costly vet bills, as they refused to refund us on these bills stating that she developed these issues while in our care ( for only 2 days!!!!!). Although her long standing ear infection must have gone unnoticed by the "vet" that was checking her every week, so they say. Her skin infection from sitting in her feces and dirty papers and her stomach bacterial infection is what got to me the most. They clearly told me this was a healthy dog. When clearly this was no the case Our little girl is a great puppy, but we are very lucky, although our wallets are taking the hit now. We did some research on where she came from and she is from a puppy mill some where out west and the details are very sketchy. The store employees have poor customer service as one of the head managers hung up on me twice! The whole thing with a "free first vet visit" is a totally scam that we fell for... If i could personally put this place out of business i would... it's awful how they treat these puppies. So the dogs are unhealthy and not taken care of properly at this place ( as we found this out too late) We are trying to help other young couples make a better choice adopt from a shelter!!! DO NOT give this place any more business. it is a disgrace how they con people into buying there pups saying they sell "healthy" dogs and two days later we find out our pup has several different infections and is loosing her hair because her immune system is shutting down. And I thought the white above her eyes where patches of white fur not patches of balding. On a happier note our pup has been brought back to health and is doing just great... not thanks to PET EXPRESS. Over all people like ourselves are uneducated on these types of stores and where the dogs come from. Most of them are puppy mills pups, if you don't know what puppy mills are youtube it... and you will steer clear from any puppy store ever again. So disappointed just have to write a review and share my experience. I got my puppy at the Saugus location and he came with coupons for discounts on grooming. First time we took him it was free which was great since he was living In that window his whole entire life shitting on himself. They didn't clip all his toe nails and his hair cut was done very poorly I could have done it myself but he smelled nice and I love him so I didn't complain it was free. Brought him back for his 50 percent off.. Figured could save the cash for the holidays .. Business and service is really bad I will never take my puppy here again. I rather pay more money to leave my puppy in the hands of people who do good business that i can trust. waited at the front desk nobody greeted me I had to ask the Petstore cashier and she was really really helpful and sweet. I was going to walk out because i waited so long and I rang their bell four times. The nice girl In the store said she would get them maybe the bell is broken. So I stayed.... The bells not broken they just didn't hear it. Isnt there suppose to be someone sitting in the front anyways?! And then they tell me I don't exist in the appointment book when I definitely called and made an appointment yesterday. I thought maybe I was mistaken and checked my phone log to make sure I didn't call the wrong place...nope! Not my mistake. She said I don't have an appointment that they are booked and then didn't try to figure out what happened... Or fit me in.. Or do anything to fix their mistake. Bad business. No thanks. I shopped here for specialty dog and cat food for a while, but I really just refused after I took a peak at the conditions of their puppies. I came here for about a year and never once saw the staff even remotely concerned about the socialization or attention the dogs get, which is VERY important for a puppy. We got our adorable, loving yorkie from Pet Express. I looked at rescue sites, but unfortunately, the dogs they had were old, and looked like they would require a vast amount of money to keep alive. In December, I had to put down my best bud, Ted. He was the love of my life. I just didn't think I could go through the process again with a "new" old doggie. Now I have a new love, and thank goodness I found him, or as my husband says, he found me. Now I thought the prices were outrageous, especially because they are not AKC Registered dogs, but this pup, wow, what a keeper, and I happily forked over the money. We got him in Danvers. I wouldn't say that the salespeople were really friendly or helpful, but everything worked out in the end. I go to the Lynn store for supplies (it's closer to my house) and am impressed by how clean the store is (they do not have puppies at this location) and how knowledgeable and friendly the staff is at this location. To the haters: you can't always find your soulmate at a rescue organization. I tried and it didn't work out. Stop hating on these people. They are providing a service and you can tell that they care about their animals. I say this because the cages are clean, the fish tanks are clean and most importantly, the store does not smell. If there were problems the store would not smell good. I don't believe that they get these puppies from puppy mills. You will never convince me. My dog is very happy and well adjusted. There will always be a dog in the bunch that is not "perfect". Anyway, happy to have my Rex. He is a bundle of energy, fun, and it's good to have some youth in our house again. About 3 weeks ago my family and I lost our dog, Boston. We were heart broken and our house was eerily quiet without our four legged friend to snuggle with. After trying to contact many breeders, but having no luck, we turned to Pet Express in the Braintree mall. We found a beautiful female 3 month old golden retriever and welcomed her to our family. She was exactly what we wanted, it seemed like a dream come true. My whole family was so excited we spent hundreds of dollars worth of goodies for her to play and sleep with. Coming home was not such a drag anymore and this beautiful golden we named Lyla, after much debate, became the glue to our family. Four days after we got her, we took her to Angell Memorial in Boston for her checkup and to get her shots. While we were there, the doctor found a problem with her legs. She said she has elbow displasiea and this is a very bad genetic disorder. We were scared and did not know how to react to this. Everything happened so fast. We called the pet store and they told us to bring her in. We handed her over to them in hopes of her to be taken care of. After much research we found that they get their puppies from puppy mills and all of the information regarding the history and ancestors of the dog were false. We felt horrible leaving her in the care of people who were not in the business to make families happy, but rather looked at these helpless animals as strictly a pay check. I was disgusted to say the least. After my fathers pestering phone calls to the store to check up on the dogs progress, they said that they wanted to do everything they could to reunite our four legged friend to our family. They took her to two of their vets, or so they say and all those vets found wrong with her was that she had ear mites, but was otherwise perfectly healthy. This was a lullaby to my family's ears. We went to visit her as soon as we possibly could. They told us we could get her back in about 21 days when her medicine was finished due to the fact that they cannot sell a dog that is sick. The owner tried to talk my dad into buying another dog, any other dog in the store we could possibly want. Does he not understand what it is like to have a pet, even if for only four days? Dogs love unconditionally and have a better morality than any human I know. My family was not going to just drop her off and forget about her with a new puppy. My dad then requested the vet medical records and Pet Express kept pushing it off. Something was off, but we could not yet place what exactly. We went to the store the next day for my mothers birthday and was denied the right to see the dog because of made up law they told us and said that we now needed an appointment to see her. Everytime we spoke to them the rules changed. Being a 17 year old, I had yet to face such disgusting human beings in my entire life. unfortunately I had to learn the hard way that pet express does not care about its customers, just their money. Today I found out that Pet Express will not be giving our dog back to us and that they are completely ridding their relationship to my family. The dog could be sold to another family and it breaks my heart. How could someone do this to an innocent family that just wanted to love and care for a sweet dog like Lyla? I apologize for the length of this comment, however I want to give a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves. Pet Express and puppy mills need to be stopped. I live in Massachusetts, the state that banned horse and dog racing, yet supports stores like this. Lyla deserves her story to be told and I will do just that until Pet Express gets the karma they deserve. My 16 year old adopted Dog FRASIER was so so scared to get his nails done and hair cut . Now he is happy and NOT scared at all !! No more shakes and anxiety. I have been going there for a few years now and they have all been VERY kind to him and gentle to him. I now go to the gentleman groomer who Frasier adores. My husband and I bought our Bullmastiff from Pet Express 4 years ago. We lost one of our dogs and went to the local shelter to purchase another shelter dog, (we had two) , and couldn't believe how difficult it was to get another dog, we went to Pet Express. We immediately felt right at home with Rob and John, and the rest of the staff. The store was clean and had such a good variety of food and so many different items. We found out also that our Vet also goes to Pet Express to check out all the puppies and kitties so we knew immediately that the animals were well looked after and given a clean bill of health. We love our Bullmastiff and last year we bought another puppy from Pet Express a Beabull and we couldn't be happier with our little family of three! We trust Pet Express and go to Kathy the groomer on a regular basis and would not go anywhere else with our animals, keep up the good work you guys! See you soon! read more

I was so excited to find a "local" pet store when I moved to MA until I actually visited this store. I was sad to see what appeared to be puppy mill puppies for sale and cannot shop here in good conscience. Each staff member I talked to gave a different story about where the animals come from -- in several cases contradicting each other. We brought our 4-month old puppy for a grooming. He was an adorable Maltese puppy when we dropped him off. After two hours, they brought our puppy back to us and IT WAS NOT OUR PUPPY! He was no longer cute and adorable. He looks like he is from the 80s with a horrible mushroom haircut!!!! Do they know how to do a proper puppy groom??!! My poor baby! Before purchasing a dog from pet express, please read the warranty carefully, and decide whether you will be able to afford a dog that may not be healthy. I recently purchased a beagle from Pet Express. The following day (Sunday), the five month old dog had a seizure; in twelve days there were at least 4 more episodes witnessed. We brought the dog to his free vet visit at the animal hospital that was affiliated with the pet store (on Friday, 6 days after purchase). When we voiced out concerns to the vet, she said that he looked healthy, and brushed away our concerns. We called the manager of the store, voicing our concerns about seizures, and that we would like to return the dog. He said two things: (1) if we had had a vet write a letter stating the dog was having seizures, he would take the dog back, and (2) he would call us on the Tuesday after the holiday. We waited; he never called. Concerned, we took the dog to another vet, who confirmed the beagle was having seizures, and he would treat him for epilepsy after some blood work. The vet wrote a letter to the manager. We went back to the pet store on the 14th day of the warranty- the manager would not accept our letter, hassled us, and questioned our integrity. He would only take back the dog for a "non medical reason" called a "compatibility issue" under the warranty, and would take back the dog with a 35% restocking fee. I asked if he could possibly extend the warranty or work with us so that we could try the seizure medication with the dog, and see if he would get better-if so we would keep him. But he refused this suggestion. My heart was broken. I wanted the dog to receive the medical attention he needed, but I could not afford it financially and emotionally. My first dog, a Jack Russell, had passed away suddenly in May after 9 years. He was gradually paralyzed over the course of two days; I had to hold him upright so he could vomit. I could not go through caring for a sick dog again so soon- if I had known the beagle had epilepsy, I would have known that I would not have been able to handle it, and I would have never purchased the dog. I brought Henry back to the store. A sales girl took him from me and put him in the back room; he started howling and my heart broke again. In the end, I was required to sign a paper that stated the dog was returned for a "non health issue"; I was livid, angry that this manager could be so cruel. He said the dog would be given blood tests on Monday, and if there was noting wrong with him, he would be resold. EPILEPSY CANNOT BE DETECTED FROM BLOOD TESTS. But he didn't seem to listen. I realize now that I made the wrong decision. I should have kept Henry. I will call the pet store affiliated vet on Monday to make them aware of the situation; if they administer the blood tests, they need to know that another vet is already confident that the dog has seizures and should be on medication. If Henry does not receive medication, he will only become worse. I hope that this post will help others making a decision to purchase a dog from pet express. I am sure that other dogs sold there are healthy, and several of the sales girls there were helpful and caring. But I have very little respect for the managers there; they twisted their words, and did not follow through with what they said. I know that seizures/epilepsy in dogs this young is hereditary and rare- so maybe ours was an exceptional case. However, I wish that pet express had acted with greater integrity. Some of the reasons we had purchased a dog there were the supposed strength of the warranties (these covered pet tore related illnesses and hereditary conditions) and the fact that the store was supported by the Boston Herald and CBS 4 news. Please consider all of the posts concerning this store before purchasing a pet here; find out about the complaints issued against the store through the Better Business Bureau; bring the dog for his/her first vet visit to a family vet not the vet affiliated with the store. Then with all this in mind, make the right decision for you and your family. I am not one of those people who equate pet stores with puppy mills- even the dogs in pet stores need homes; they cannot help being born, and so they too need homes. If anything, legislation needs to be taken against the breeders and brokers that breed multiple types of dogs for profit. I hope this will help even one person- if I had read something similar, I may have done things differently from the beginning. read more

I purchased an Engligh Bulldog from Pet Express in 2007. While i was hesitant about purchasing from a pet store, I was also hesitant about buying from a breeder that was not local, and non of the local breeders at the time had any puppies available. I had done my research and been in a couple of times to speak to the staff, and had a great experience. They dont carry them in there normal puppy lineup, so they went out and found one for me, which took about 2 months, and HE is the best puppy, great temperment, beautiful colors, pure bloodline. My bad experience with them comes about a year later, when my dog developed Entropion, which is normal for short nosed breeds, after about $3500 in medical bills, I remembered that they had provided a 1 Year warranty for up to $1000 thru Household Pet Protection, great I thought, I submitted my claim for reimbursement in March of 2008, till this day, nothing...I call Household probably 2 or 3 times a month, to be told, it should be 2 or 3 more weeks, we get money in From Pet Express a couple of times a month to pay the claims that are made, but since yours is a large claim it takes time as they dont send in that much money when they do send in any at all. So beware, while the store, staff was great, hopefully you never have to use there Pet Warranty they provide, This is the most Frustrating experience, after numerous calls to Household and to John at Pet Express, I am still waiting for the reimbursement, for the warranty that they "offer you" as part of there package at no charge. 8 Months and counting, called again today ,11/3/08, and was told, you were the next one on the list, but there were some other claims that Pet Express decided to pay before yours. Maybe one day, I will receive the money...Only positive is that My Bully is great, Eye Surgery went fine, and he is the most lovable bully. read more

I work at Pet Express and I can personally tell you that we do NOT buy from puppy mills. We take excellent care of our animals. Their kennels are sanitized and cleaned daily and they are groomed and checked every single day. I would know, because i do it. I am there checking and caring for those dogs every day. Our vet comes once a week to check all of our dogs. If you think otherwise, then you havent been to any of our stores or talked to any of our employees, because all of those negative reviews are wrong. I am an animal lover and an animal activist, and I personally wouldn't let them continue running their stores if any of those rumors were true. I checked the breeders information and i make sure these arent puppy mill puppies. We are one of the good guys. read more

I bought my rabbit from this place. They didn't know how old it was or if it was a boy or girl. 2 weeks after I brought her home she gave birth to 5 kits. Their website says all their rabbits are spayed and neutered........ read more

@Bethany R. I find it such a coincidence I was in there the same day and was there to observe one of there employees moving the fish into a larger tank and I even asked why he was in there. And I was assured he came in that day and was put in there just to make room in another tank. So as far as I'm concerned you don't know what you are talking about you have no education in the animal fields and you sure don't have any fish of your own. Catfish's generally stay in small areas and even so i was a witness to see it being put in a larger tank. Maybe you should stop by there again and say I'm wrong. And as far as I'm concerned to everyone posting about the puppies they aren't even puppy milled dogs they all come from legitimate breeders. A lot of you don't realize puppys have low immune systems and when you bring them around the whole family after just buying it you don't realize how many germs you have that causes stress and sickness to a puppy. Its common sense. If any of you had it about immune systems towards any baby. I bought a Chihuahua from there 4 years ago and I never had the problems you are. Because I did my homework before adopting an animal. Some of you should take notes. Cause your clearly doing something wrong. And they had no problems taking any of these animals that you now are bring back sick back. To help the animal for something you did. I'm not here to write a review but to ask a question. Most of the reviews are negative stating that the dogs are from puppy mills and not to buy them. I ask, don't these dogs deserve a nice home after the horror that they have been through. I would love to adopt from a shelter and have applied and the puppies have gone to other families, most other dogs are pit bulls. What do I do??? read more

In response to K.E's review about the beagle (k141893) that she purchased in June of 2010, I would like to say that I now own this beagle, for almost one year now. I acquired him shortly after he had seen a vet and got a clean bill of health. His name is Blitz, and has never shown even the slightest hint of a seizure. I can say with the most confidence that he is 100% healthy, and happy. This is my second dog that i have brought home from pet express. My dogs are both healthy. My chocolate lab is turning six and my beagle will be two in February. Four days after my birthday! :) Blitz is the light of my life, and brings joy to anyone he comes in contact with. I am sorry that you misunderstood him moving in his sleep, but he is with a great family now, getting all of the attention and affection that he needs. Never showing a sign of an illness. I purchased my puppy Aug 3rd from PetExpress in Saugus. I find the employees to be extremely robotic and condecending. My puppy had many problems starting the 2nd day after purchase when we took her for her free well visit. From there it was all downhill. She ended up w/ upper respiratory infection, giardiasis, ear infection and conjunctivitis. We almost lost her as she dropped to 1.8 lbs from 2 lbs when purchased. She spent a full of observation at the animal hospital 5 days after purchase. I spent $400 on vet bills and medications. The pet health warranty contract so far has been a waste of my time and energy. I submitted all bills and diagnoses from vet and am still waiting for reimbursement 4 mo later. Each time I called for an update,the INS person stated they needed more info,yet I was never contacted by them. The deal was each time I called inquiring, I guess meant waiting an additional 6-8 wkks for reimbursement...really??? I finally got the Lynn store mgr involved. She seems to be Very helpful but still no ck for reimbursement. I'm waiting for a call back from her today w/ an update. I truly believe that the INS company hopes the consumer stops calling and just goes away. The wait has been absolutely ridiculous and if I do get a reimbursement ck it will probably be for less than $100 as I have been told they only reimburse for medication. My puppy is now flourishing in a loving home,but no thanks to Pet Express. Even when I tried to track down the breeder,I was told that they don't have phone numbers on file. I tried googling the breeder through the paperwork I was given, but to no avail. It was stressful and a constant worry for 2 wks hoping that my puppy would bounce back. On another note,theta add $40 to the final purchase price in order to register your pup w/ a microchip. I was told that when I saw a sign conveniently posted on the cash register in an inconspicuous spot. Had I not noticed the sign, they were just going to add it to the total cost. If u want your new pup, you have to pay as they have the microchip already. The purchase was an additional $140 added to the cost of my puppy w/ all the mandatory food and supplements they force you to purchase. I don't know what was a worse experience,the condescending employees or then health INS. Issues.hoping that Coral @ Lynn Pet Express comes through w/ positive feedback. read more
