Many factors were involved in this whole project: plan designer(architect?), contractor, County inspector, and sales representative. Everything was great except it took longer to get SCE to install GMA (probably due to COVID), but glad we finish the installation before year end for the federal rebate which may be less in 2021. My cousin referred me to Ken and he was very helpful in explaining the process and answering questions when we were evaluating with another company. Everyone was professional and wore masks when they needed to talk to me. Luckily all of the work was done outside and they didn't need to enter our home. We hope it will generate the amount of kWh that we need for the first year as we have Tesla and like to blast the AC during the hot summer months. They came to me first, and I started with many uncertainties in mind probably like most other people. It is a not short process, took ~3 months from first talk to finally turning on solar system. Willie Guevara the representive did an excellent job overseeing the entire project from end to end. Solar Vast upgraded the main electrical panel from 100 to 225 AMP. The roof I have was clay tiles. They removed the clay tiles and place shingles. After the solar panels installation, the roofer went back to back fill the remaining clay tiles. It looks awesome. read more

I used Solar Vast by Sunpower to install 16 panel E series system on my roof. Overall we are pretty happy with the experience. I installation looks to be professional. The sales guy, Ken, and installer guy, Tony are both very nice and professional. There were some issues with city permit process, causing delays for installation and turning on net metering. In the end it was pretty smooth. I am getting pretty good output so far. Their prices is not the most competitive. But I chose them because of Sunpower quality and warranty. The only beef I have is the Sunpower monitoring system. It does not give individual panel data like other competitors do. Also the connection is spotty even after I added WiFi extender. Really wish Sunpower would improve the system. read more

We had the absolute pleasure of installing solar on our roof with SunPower by Solar Vast. From our very first meeting with Willie Guevara till this day, everything has been flawless and I can't recommend them enough. Willie was a great salesperson and he has years and years of experience in the field so there is no question he doesn't know the answer to. He was able to guide us through building our system and made sure we got something that would work for us now and in the future. When the installers showed up they were fast and I mean FAST, and more than that they were very clean. In half a day they had the whole system installed and the site cleaned up so you would never know they were there. Once the inspection happened it only took another day before the whole system was online. during this whole time Willie was checking in and answering questions. I think he was as excited as we were when we finally threw the switch and started generating clean electricity. I was shopping for solar panels earlier this year and I spoke to a few different reps/companies and I ended up choosing this one. It really came down to service and knowledge and my rep Leon was the man! He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions on the spot, he walked me through the entire process and shared various options for me based on my homes energy consumption and ultimately I got 30 sunpower panels which is an industry leader in solar panels and have been making solar panels for many years as compared to some of the newer entries I to the market. After the contracts we're signed I pretty much just sit back and Leon did the rest. The whole process from the time we signed the contract to the city inspections and complete installation took no more than a month. This company is unbelievable. They claim to be a master Dealer for Sunpower but the service after sales was not only unprofessional but lies, lies and more lies. Continue to lie about the progress of my project and could not even meet the promise appointment time. Promise to deliver the system by mid December and fail to do so not only Once but 3 times in a row. I already file a formal complaint to SUNPOWER to have them look into their representation of their product. People need to be aware and stay away. installing a solar system is a life long investment you definitely need to find the right contractor to do the job. The only comfort I had from Solarvast was a truly responsibly Sales Rep. No matter when I call, she is always there for me to try to smooth things out. This Contractor is NOT Honest. Be Aware! I choose to go with them at the first place is because they were suppose to be one of the elite SUNPOWER dealer in my area. But After Installation We were not only Shock on the Quality of Install but to realize that they use bait and switch and simply install an complete different type of mounting system onto the roof. I am suppose to get SUNPOWER INVISIMOUNT system but instead of getting something else. The mounting system I receive are horrible with screws sticking out between each panel. This is obviously different from what was original offer to me. Having the Best SUNPOWER panel suppose to also have the best look on the roof but instead with these ugly mounting kits it really throw off the value of having a SUNPOWER Panel. I am currently in contact with SUNPOWER to have them fix this issue and this is totally not acceptable! read more

The solar system from Solarvast is not as good as they advertised. Poor performance and bad service. We purchased 18 panels in 2016, and they supposed to generate 700-800 Kwh per month. However, only after two years, we saw production dropped significantly to 300-400 Kwh per month. I called them, and someone answered and said they would check, but never got any reply. Then this January, we suddenly received a $1000 bill from Edison, in addition to about $50-70 bills we paid to Edison every month. Then I checked my Edison bills carefully, and surprisely found in the past several months, the solar system only generate about 50-30 Kwh per month. Then I called the company, no one answered. I had to email to Leo and Janice whom originally we contacted for installation. Then Janice finally replied. First, she said she would have a tech check. later when I asked her again, she said "Our project team already contacted SunPower. And currently, we are waiting for SunPower's response." After several days I had to ask again, then she replied "The company informed me that we will have a site visit with the required material, which will be delivered in about a month at the soonest.Once the company received the required materials, our technician will schedule a site visit." So far almost one month pasted since I first emailed her, nothing changed. I feel they just make excuses. Of course, with current situation, they have better excuse "We were planning to have a site visit. But with "Stay at Home" order, our project team is currently waiting for the instructions from the company. I will keep you posted." I really don't know what to say. They claimed they have 20 years production guarantee. They claimed you would save thousands of dollars every year. Do other people still get high production in several years? Any one has similar experience? Or we just have bad luck? read more

I did extensive research into getting solar panels and had several companies come out for an estimate.
