We had Ranch Rain Gutter replace some existing rain gutters. They did a very good job with the replacement. On the proposal they included cleaning out and resealing our existing gutters that we did not replace. When the job was done, and after they left, I noticed that they did not do any cleaning out or resealing of the existing gutter. I called the office and they indicated that they would be back to me. They did not. I fax over a copy of the proposal indicating that they were suppose to clean and reseal the existing gutters. I have not heard from them. I would suggest, if you decide to use Rancho Rain Gutters that you review all there work and compare their proposal to their invoice before paying. I initially had a good experience with Rancho Rain Gutters, but at the end of the day I would not recommend them to my friends and family. The positives: Their pricing is on par with everyone else I called, about $5 per linear foot for gutters and downspouts. They offer seamless gutters in 5 or 6 inch widths in many different colors that are made from a baked-on-enamel painted aluminum sheet metal coil formed on site. They showed up on time for the install and took about an hour to do the job. There was a long run of over 50 feet and the two installers made it look easy. The aluminum gutters are so lightweight that one of the guys carried the entire 50 foot long piece by himself. I saw the previous review about being delayed with supplies, so I made a sketch of all the bends I wanted for the downspout and there was no issue. They had all of the pieces they needed to do it the first time. The negatives: During the install one of the installers whacked my satellite dish with a ladder when he was bringing it into my back yard. While they were there I checked some of the channels and everything looked ok, but after sitting down to watch that night, there were transponders with no signal. I was able to adjust it back, but it was a hassle and took some trial and error to get it re-aimed right. I paid the invoice on the day of the installation with a check given to the installer before they left. The next week I got an invoice in the mail threatening a $200 late fee if I didn't remit payment. My wife tried to speak with someone at Rancho Rain Gutters over the next two days and was repeatedly told that the person she needed to speak with was not in the office. She left messages and was told that she will be contacted, but never was. Two days later Ron calls me, oblivious that my wife has been leaving messages on this same matter and rudely asks "What are you going to do to take care of paying this invoice?" At that point I was livid, and explained not only that we have left at least 5 messages on this matter, but that I paid in full on the day of the install and saw online that the check cleared two days after that. He said he would look into it, without any apology for unreturned calls or the fact that the screw up with billing is on their end, and abruptly got off the phone. Since then there have been no return calls to say that they have gotten it worked out or to apologize for the error. This was originally going to be a 4 star review for me based on the work of the technicians and the great job they did with the install. Unfortunately, their after sale customer service makes me unable to rate this higher than 2 star. The finished product looks beautiful and I would advise anyone considering doing sectioned rain gutters to have them done seamless, but not with Rancho Rain Gutters. read more

I am completely overwhelmed by the lack of responsibility taken for damage they did to the hood of my car. I was parked behind their work truck and while inside, one of the employees appears to have dropped and then dragged a gutter across the hood, scraping it terribly. Their response? After finding Rancho Rain Gutters on google I left a message for a quote and was promptly called back the next business day. They caller was upfront and stated prior to sending someone out for a quote, they were backed up about a month and a half and if I would like to continue. I agreed and had someone come out a couple days for the quote later and I had a estimate within the week. After agreeing to go ahead with the job, no money was needed upfront or even collected until the job was complete. Needed gutters in a hurry as the final step to get our home Green Point rated in Claremont, CA. I had not heard of Rancho Rain Gutters till I called them. Ron came over within 48 hours and gave me a very detailed quote. Ron measured the property and also said he could add 300 gallon rain barrels and gave us a quote with and without the rain barrels. We did opt to have one 300 gallon rain barrel installed on the side of the house that is not visible from the street or the back yard. They have something like 30 different colors to choose from. Ron left me the color chips plus he left me a sample about a foot long of some actual gutter. You can have different color downspouts if you want but we chose the same color as the gutter. I had them come over about 10 days later to install the gutters. Ron showed up first about 8am and started working on the 300 gallon rain barrel install, that needs to go in first then the downspout will go into the top of that later. About 9:30am a big truck arrived and it forms the gutters right on the job site to the exact length (thus the term seamless). The install crew re-measured every side again and walked the property with me to find out exactly what I wanted. We made a few very minor changes, and the installer had some suggestions too. I was very happy to be involved in the process. They pre-cut all the gutters to the proper length before hand and layed them out in the front lawn all ready to be installed. The installers were competent, efficient, pleasant to talk with and very very good at installing gutter since that is all they do all day long every day. They went back and re-inspected the entire job when they were done to make sure nothing was missed. Every corner piece used a lot (I mean a lot) of clear caulking. They even used white paint and touched up the end of a few of the gutter nails so they would match our white gutters. This was a nice extra touch that I never expected. They completed the job about 4pm that day, so maybe 6 to 6.5 hours total. We had just under 200 feet of gutter installed. It rained about 2 weeks later. A medium-light rain and I got 200 gallons of water into my new rain barrel. Yippee. None of the gutters leaked, all the water drained to its proper places and nothing leaked. I would recommend them in a minute. read more

Stay Away! Rude customer service. You can never get the person you want to speak with on the phone. They claim to be a small mom and pop shop and that would probably explain their lack of customer service and lack of organization in their office. The only good thing about them is that they performed the the job within a matter of days after calling, but then again it was summer so they probably did not have a lot going on. I'm a fan of supporting local, but this will not be a business I will support or recommend in the future. After they screwed up ROYALLY on their end, they never once asked how they could make things right to keep us as loyal customers. As a matter of fact, I had to call them to bring the mistake to their attention, but it was just an oversight on their behalf. They got our money and that is all that mattered to them. Do not bother with this company. They will be friendly and nice up front until they get your money and if you have any problems afterwards you are screwed. read more

Rancho Rain Gutters installed new seamless gutters on the front and back of our 3400 sf house. I wasn't sure about what colors to pick, the owner, Mike took the time to help me with the choice. He also did a very clear and detailed bid. When the crew showed up they were very polite, professional and clean (in appearance and workmanship). They knew exactly what they were doing, came completely prepared and on time. After the job was done, Louis the head installer, walked me around the house, explained what they did and asked if everything met my approval. I was very happy with the job. They left no mess and even cleaned out one of my landscape drains the downspout tied into. (I told them i would do it but never got to it). With that in mind, I found Rancho Rain Gutters to be prompt in their responses. When I had to leave a message, I typically I got a same or next day response. My estimate was on 11/30/15 and install was completed 1/18/16. Ron provided a very thorough estimate and discussed options with me. Although their price as ever so slightly more than another company, I was impressed with Ron's professionalism and attention to detail and opted to sign with Rancho Rain Gutters. The installers were courteous, friendly, and did great work. The gutters look fabulous. Mike P. of Rancho Rain Gutters wrote a response to the review I wrote last Friday of Rancho Rain Gutter. What he wrote is not correct, I never spoke to him at all. Maybe he is confusing me with someone else who had the same problem I had. I would also add that contrary to his statement, I have never written a bad review for anyone on this sight prior to this. I was given an appointment two months ago to have this work done,and took time off work to be there, so when no one called the night before or the day of to let me know if they were going to show up, I called them. The receptionist told me that yes, I was on the schedule. When they did not show ONE HOUR AND A HALF past the end of the window, I called again, spoke with the receptionist again,who said she was unaware that the installers had not arrived, called them, called me back, told me the installers were stuck on a "BIG JOB" and had no time to call, I asked when they would be here she said that she did not know. That is what made me mad, not giving me a new window, I had things to do also. Hey guys! I am (or was) the customer, what ever happened to good customer service? Yes, I hung up on the receptionist, the receptionist is the first person a customer will have contact with for the most part, when calling a business, so if that person is unable to handle complaints, the front desk is not the place for that person. I never raised my voice or "belittled" her in any way, but I was angry. Very soon after I got a call from someone (not Mike) who did not call to apologized but to rant at me for hanging up on the receptionist, he became hostile and told me that he they would not do the job. I asked to talk to the owner, he told me his name (not Mike) and if I wanted to talk to him I had to call the office back. I did, was told that he was unavailable, but he would call me back, he did call me back right away, (Yea! Not Mike). He apologized for the mix up at which time I told him that I was sorry if I had upset the receptionist by hanging up on her, we made nice, he promised that they would be there before dark, even said he would give me a 10% discount for my trouble, I thought all was settled, however, shortly after that I got another call from him (not Mike), telling me he was sorry but that the man I had talked to first (also not Mike) refuses to do the work because of my complaint, nothing was ever mentioned about my possibly being hostile to the installers, I had hung up earlier feeling all was well. Here is my advice to Rancho Rain Gutters & Co. Work on your people skills and if you can not make an appointment on time, let the customer know that, don't try to convince your customer that your time is more valuable than theirs, and that not making a set appointment is part of the industry norm, we as consumers have other choices. I contacted another rain gutter company the next day, was given an appointment right away for and estimate. This morning a very nice man arrived "on time" measured for the gutters, showed me color samples and we set the installation for this week. Presto!
