They are very professional and easy to work with. Before and during the process they communicate well and get back to you promptly. They also handle all the city inspection requirements and appointments. My roof is probably more of a challenge than most because of the height, multiple levels and steep pitch, but they were able to do a fantastic quality job. Also they use high quality material offering a 50 warranty to give me peace of mind. Would definitely recommend.

F.R. Roofing just completed re-roofing my entire 35-year-old tile roof in only a week. Daniel and the entire crew were always professional, pleasant, and extremely hard working even in the 90-100 degree heat. The price was very reasonable and costing was very transparent. They helped coordinate removal of existing solar panels, gave suggestions on re-tiling, and overall were a pleasure to work with. You won't go wrong if they do any work for you.

Proof that I was an actual customer

Unprofessional is all I can say. I regret hiring them for my roofing project. See reasons listed: ON UNPROFESSIONALISM: 02/20 my original appointment start date, i was wondering where they were so I called them at 9am to inquire what time they will arrive at my house. They responded by letting me know that they won't be able to start my project due to the oncoming storms. While that was understandable, the issue with that is that "i" had to call them myself the 9am of the start date, instead of them calling me the night or day before. How unprofessional was it to not reach out to the customer ahead of time! I had spoken to my managers about my work schedule just for this project. Also while figuring out when we can do it so I can refigure out my work schedule, Leslie tells me "let me figure this out.. i'll call you in 45 minutes." She never called!! I had to call again 4 hours later!! 03/05: Daniel texts me to confirm that my project will begin the next day and their arrival time would be between 7-8am. The following day comes and we are again wondering where they are. We called their office and they didn't arrive until past 8:30!! So unprofessional and again, WE had to call to ask where they are. Professionalism would be to call us to inform us if anything happened that made them run late. 03/07: day 2. Again, we were wondering where these guys are. 9am, I call their office. Leslie explains to me that they are probably waiting for the clearance from the city inspector. Again, while that was understandable, I wish that part of the process was explained to us or that they would have communicated that their arrival time would be based on the city clearance. Again, when Leslie says "I'll call you back in x amount of time," she NEVER does. They did not arrive til closer to 11:30am. 03/10: the project has been completed and Daniel was supposed to pick up the check. I had given them my husband's phone number because I will be either sleeping for night shift or will be at work. First, this process of waiting for Daniel to pick up the check dragged all the way til Monday 3/13 because Daniel kept flaking on us when it came to picking up the check. We emailed them and they apologized saying that Daniel had a minor emergency. But again, the unprofessionalism of not giving the client (that you know is waiting for you) a courtesy call. We had to again initiate communication or they'd have no plans of telling us ourselves that Daniel won't be coming. Then, finally 3 days later, he calls ME while i was at work despite me being clear to them to contact MY HUSBAND who has been waiting on Daniel all weekend. ON PRICING: Just a tip, if you were to hire this company, while arranging financing, please include about $3-4,000 on top of their quote or go with other reputable companies here on Yelp that are more clear with what is included in their estimate. That is what I should have done. While FR Roofing had great reviews and the best price initially, my project ended up being $3,286 more than what was quoted. While it WAS explained to me that plywood and broken tiles might have to be replaced, Daniel said that it would only cost a few hundred "depending" on what happens. Those are thing's we'll truly never know but I wish I had went with the companies who might have quoted higher but included the broken tiles and plywood already. Another thing that was NOT explained was that the city permit was not included in the estimate. I wish that was also explained or that I had went with the other companies that may have quoted higher but included the city permit already. $3,286 ABOVE the original estimate was a lot. And there was no communication during the week whatsoever so I could prepare $3,286 more than the money I had for the project. All of this was a surprise at the end. ON CUSTOMER CARE/WORKMANSHIP: The workers had chipped small areas of my house paint and I wanted FR Roofing to just help me fix it. With all the rains, all this chipped paint is risking my wood for termites and dry rot. Once again, Leslie never calls back whenever she says she would and you'd have to initiate all follow up conversation. While this is a small project it could lead to costly repairs if not fixed soon. Joseph came by 3 days ago and was very dismissive of my issue and already hinted that they don't want to help me fix the areas where their workers chipped paint and exposed wood. If FR Roofing won't assist now with something minor, what makes me confident that they are going to take care of their customers and honor your warranty when something major comes up down the road? These people were only kind when they wanted me to hire them for my roof and when they wanted me to hire them to install solar in my home. But when I reach out to them to fix minor issues that their workers caused, they become dismissive and not want to do anything. I am thankful I took the time to think about whether to go with them for my solar system.

House was build in the 50s and wasn't even sure how old my roof was. Daniel/Joe and his team did an awesome job on replacing my roof and fascia. Daniel keep me in the loop with all necessary updates. His team with professional and cleaned up everyday after complete the day. Even my neighbor was impress of their work and cleanness each day. I highly recommend them for your roofing needs. An excellent company that provided me with superior customer service and excellent workmanship.

The paper under the tiles is worn down.

Found out their license was suspended after they quoted $58000 for roof replacement when others quoted only $17000.

Because of that experience, we were very cautious when we decided to add more panels and reached out to several different companies. From the very beginning, HPM Solar stood out. They were easy to work with, communicated clearly, and consistently kept me informed about every step of the process. There were no surprises and no guessing about what was happening next. We were also extremely fortunate that an earlier installation slot opened up, allowing HPM to fit us in just in time to take advantage of the expiring tax credit -- something we truly appreciated. The installation crew was excellent: professional, efficient, and respectful of our property. They did great work and made sure everything was cleaned up before they left, which really showed their attention to detail and pride in their work. Overall, the entire solar process with HPM Solar was very smooth and stress-free, a complete contrast to our previous experience. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering solar.

The whole team was responsive, patient, informative, and upfront with their processes, equipment, timelines, and costs. They developed a system that would work for our needs based on our current and future usage and provided thorough, comprehensive documentation that we could provide to our HOA for approval. When it came to implementing the proposal, HPM got back to us promptly whenever we had questions, kept us up to date with the status of permits and equipment installation, of which installation was done efficiently, quickly, and up to our HOA's detailed standards by their reliable and skilled installation team. There were a few obstacles in the road for our installation that were not HPM's fault, but they were on top of getting everything fixed and the system and app up and running without any problems, right on time for the tax rebate. Mark, Eric, Jose, and the installation team were amazing and delivered exactly what they proposed and promised to us. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, well-organized team for solar installation.

First company arrives in a Tesla and then uses my ladder to climb into the attic and reports we have to have a moisture test with various monitors for possible mold and then we will have our lab provide a 16-page report.... $970. Question how much to repair the leak? We will not give a quote until you pay the $975. Thanks, and bye. Number 2, another Tesla and this fellow walks around the lawn and says we will replace the cap around the chimney box. $3500, Thanks, and bye. Number 3, Walks the roof, inspects the attic for leak and reports we must remove 4 solar panels, replace 500 square feet of plywood and replace the shingles, the damage was caused by the solar installation and with a senior discount, $8,750. Keep in mind the roof has not leaked after the solar was installed, 11 years ago. Mr. Joe installed our solar and no one will move our system but he and his crew. We call Mr. Joe, his crew arrive in a work truck with ladders, inspects the attic and finds no excessive water damage to the plywood, removes the chimney box lid, climbs inside to inspect and reports, replace the cap and you are good to go or use some sealant and flex seal first and review the results. THAT IS HONESTY, INTEGRITY AND SKILL!!! We have known Joe for 11 years and we are grateful we located he and his company and you will be too!

The installers were awesome and got me going quickly. So regarding the communication issues I had with the company, things happen, people get busy and sometimes delays do occur. I'm just glad we were able to get everything resolved. Pricing, I did get a couple of additional quotes and Option One blew them out of the water. Could it be those other companies assumed I needed the parts and labor? Maybe, but I was very clear that I had the parts already. Bottom line it never hurts getting quotes and going from there. Service, so I got all the paperwork done yesterday early afternoon and was scheduled today (5/1) at 8am. I do realize there needs to be a buffer between appointment time and actual arrival time, I usually just assume an hour after the appointment time. But the techs were here at almost exactly 8am. As I have very limited knowledge on solar panels, the fact none of them fell off my roof (panels or techs) and nothing blew up, then it's safe to say they did a fantastic job. In the end my system is fixed and I'm happy. Also if I ever need work done on my system again I'm calling these guys up.

With so many options out there for solar install companies it was all a bit confusing. After doing…read moreresearch and reading reviews some great and some absolutely terrible I decided to to give Simply Solar a call as the reviews were nothing short of great. They were very prompt with their communications which was a great start. I scheduled an appointment with William on Aug 19, 2019. Here's the thing I loved most about the salesman William. He wasn't pushy at all with getting me to sign a contract or bugging me constantly if I had made a decision. He did check in a few times if I had made a decision but again not pushy. Not sure about anyone else but I hate pushy sales people and instantly get turned off. But back to William, he is a down to earth and up front salesman. Very knowledgeable about the product he is selling and helped direct me in the right direction. If your looking for honest accurate info William is your guy. So after meeting with 2 other companies just to see what my options were. I pulled the trigger and signed on with Simply Solar. The cost was a bit higher than the others but well worth it. Next person of communications was Ashley who is in house to keep the project moving forward. From start to finish her communication and timeliness in response was excellent. Ashley was constantly on top of communications with my roofing company as I was getting both done. As soon as the new roof was on the install Techs came in. I cant remember the names of the install tech but there were 2 of them and again like everyone else at Simply Solar they were top notch. Friendly, Super careful with the new roof, and went over exactly what they were going to do. I didn't realize how quick they would get it installed in just 2 days including a panel upgrade. After that was all done Dan again who was awesome came by to finish the stucco work where they had done the new panel upgrade and made it look finished. So now everything has been installed and we are just awaiting confirmation from SCE to go live. I have heard horror stories of people waiting months to be approved for going live with their solar. Simply Solar again was on top of communication with SCE and our system was up and running in less than a week after the install. Over all I think the whole process once things got started was probably less than 2 weeks. AMAZING!!!! Its been about 6 months now since I have had the panels and im so glad we got them. The first few months we were in the hole with SCE as the days were short but now that the days are longer and more sunny were putting more into the grid and chipping away at our yearly bill. At the rate this thing is running we should be close to 0 due. If your looking to go solar and want the best service, product and experience this is your go to company.

Haven't give SCE a penny since the 3rd month after our system went online (over 2 years now!). The reason I'm writing this review now is that we had a major roof leak back in late November and part of our upstairs ceiling collapsed in. What a nightmare!! We weren't sure where the leak was or if the solar was the cause. We contacted a roofer to address the roof repairs needed and we also called New Day to let them know what was going on and asked that they be involved in determining the source of the leak. They were so responsive and quickly came over to evaluate the situation. After their inspection they didn't feel the leak was due to the solar panels but was rather a roof problem in one of the valleys near the solar panels. They didn't just walk away at that point. They came the day the roofer began the repairs and worked with them to fully evaluate the problems. They removed the solar panels that needed to be removed so the repairs could happen and put them back after. They were correct and the solar was not involved in the problem. Corey the owner went out of his way to make sure he had a crew on-site when the roofer needed them there so that we could get our repairs done as quickly as possible. Corey was up on the roof multiple time to make sure everything was done correctly and we were happy and secure that the problems were resolved. Many other companies would have just said "not our problem" and walked away but that's not how they do business. I would so highly recommend them to everyone for their professionalism, knowledge and follow-up even 2 years after the install!!
