The highlight of the visit was definitely the creativity on display, especially with their Galaxy Pizza. You can tell they're trying to push boundaries and offer something unique, which I respect. The presentation and concept were interesting and different from your typical slice. That said, the Galaxy Pizza just wasn't for me. It's one of those things that others might love, but it didn't fully land for me. The crust threw me off. It was too soft, too doughy and didn't pair with the flavors . Overall, Solar Slice Pizza is worth checking out. They have pinball machines.

I have been wanting pizza for a few days. I was near this spot and it had good reviews on Yelp so I decided to give it a try. It was easy to locate and they have ample parking There are a few spots up front and additional parking at the rear of the building. When I walked in there were no patrons and 4 employees that could have said hello or welcome in- any greeting would have went a long way - I got nothing! I saw two computer screens and figured out I could place my order on the screen. I opted for a spinach and mushroom slice with chicken wings and a bottle of water. Total cost $15. The inside of this place offers a few tables. All of the chairs were placed on top of the tables but there was no indication as to why. They also have several picnic tables out front, I am typically the person that desires to sit outside, but on this day it was windy and I did not want to deal with that. As such when I received my slice of pizza I took a chair off the table and sat down. My wings came out at a later time. The young lady that gave me my wings did tell me that as a result of the construction on the outside guest are unable to dine in at the moment. Again- something that the staff that looked at me walk in could have easily expressed! I did sit outside and finish my pizza. It was very thin and toppings were sparse. I say just go to Costco instead! The wings were wingetts ! They were so tiny. I would not order them again. Overall this spot is a skip for me. Service was terrible. The only friendly staff was the young lady. The food was nothing to think twice about. In today's economy I can find better ways to spend my cash. Most instantly with a company that appreciates me patronizing their establishment.

Not good. Took well over an hour just to get two pizza's. Opened the box and it was completely burnt; not charred, not crispy, burnt. Too much hype for Portnoy reviews that haven't happened. Won't go back, this place is an unorganized mess.

I've been wanting to try Solar Slice for awhile and I'm glad I finally did. We went for lunch on a weekday and it was fairly busy. There's plenty of parking and a decent amount of seating. You order at a computer, which was fairly easy and straightforward. It's very relaxed and unpretentious inside. There are pinball machines and 90s posters. I don't fully understand how they choose the prices as a slice of cheese is significantly cheaper than a fancier slice. The slices are large, thin NY-style. The cheese slice was fine, nothing special, but good. My friend has an allergy so she had to order a whole pie. She got the white pizza which she shared and was really yummy! She didn't want a whole pie at first but enjoyed the leftovers. The slight issue was that the three of us ordered at the same time but there were significant chunks of time between each of getting our food. We only saw one employee making pizzas which could've been the cause, but it's just strange that we couldn't really eat together.

I had seen this place on social media and my husband and I decided to go for a drive and check it out. There is a really cool mural on the side of the building and some parking right in front. They have indoor and outdoor seating along with plenty of pinball machines. You order on a self kiosk and you get your receipt sent over to your phone. They have a variety of seating at high stools and some lower stools too. Wait time wasn't too long. My husband ordered 2 well done pizza slices and I got one slice of cheese. They brought it to us in a nice box. The pizza looked delicious, but my slice wasn't exactly what I was hoping it would taste like. The sauce was very salty and was lacking some sort of sweetness, along with that my pizza ended up coming out well done despite me not asking for that. My husband really likes his slices but agreed it's missing some sweetness to the sauce. Overall, we are glad we checked it out but probably won't come back due to the distance and me not liking how my pizza came out.

Ninja. Turtles. Arcade. This little spot off of Hwy 41, Solar Slice Pizza, is pretty fantastic. This was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade themed pizza bar with some nostalgic rock music. This pizza... is... wow!!! This is the best New York Style pizza I've ever had! To gage how good Solar Slice really is, I got a classic Large Cheese Pizza. It's a huge pizza with a thin crispy crust- sauced perfectly- and seasoned- finished with that rich cheese and a beautiful cheese pull. The famous Dave Portnoy would recognize it for having "no flop" an a "beautiful undercarriage" :) I additionally got a slice of meat lovers so that I could see how they do specialties. While my large pizza was ready in 10 minutes, the single slice wasn't ready until 25 minutes after that! I noticed when they put my slice in, it was accompanied by 7 other single slices. I wonder if they have to wait to put in single slices until they have 8 singles (to finish a full pizza). Since they do single slices, that meant all the toppings went on top of the cheese, so it was hard to keep all the toppings on my pizza, but it was pretty delicious. It was packed generously with so much meat... yum! I personally prefer the classic cheese or pepperoni for this kind of style of pizza. The arcade noises, loud music, and long lines in a small restaurant are worth noting as a big part of your experience. If you don't plan in ahead (like us), you enter in, go place your own order on the iPad stations, and potentially wait up to 35 minutes just for a single slice. While I was waiting and watching, I noticed that they do have an app and a website where you can order in advance and walk in and out real fast... I would definitely recommend ordering in advance. I would give a mediocre score to the service and atmosphere, but the pizza itself deserves a 5/5! Totally worth the wait!

Nostalgic pizzeria off busy Cobb Parkway & 120. I loved the tributes to the 80s & 90s with posters, toys, arcade games (they work) and movies. It's spacious with bar top seating to watch the kitchen at work or sit at the many tables or outdoor picnic style tables. Service was self-serve at a kiosk so pretty simple. Nobody greeted us or asked if we had questions. It appeared that the cook and two patrons were speaking Spanish so we were basically ignored. Our pizza came up fast but there was really no one else there that had ordered - they were already eating. The slices were decent. Nothing I'd rush back for. The Margarita Pizza left much to be desired. No fresh mozzarella or basil but tons of sauce. The plain slices were flimsy so my son made it a pizza roll. Maybe they can serve those.

We wanted to try something other than our normal pizza spot so we decided to give this place a chance. It was a bit scary when we pulled up and there were no other cars in the parking lot. The atmosphere is cool with the retro video games and pinball machines. The choice of music was hard rock and not a fan of that for a family atmosphere. There's no wait staff and you placed your order on a kiosk so no personal connection. When the pizza is ready, you have to go to the counter and get it yourself. It was served with the cheapest paper plates imaginable. The pizza had a great flavor. We had the meat lovers. A little greasier and thinner than what we're used to at our normal pizza restaurant But we gave it a six out of 10 stars. Hopefully they'll invest in better plates and have more of an even mixture of music playing. Also was not a fan of them serving Pepsi products. We're in Georgia the home of Coca-Cola. read more

Holy crap! Run, don't walk if you want REAL, authentic NYC Pizza. We live in downtown, but drive up to get this pizza. This is on par with the best in NYC. None of that pseudo Buckhead Brock oven baked silliness. Just amazing pizza and garlic bread. I would pay for them to open one of these downtown. Just perfection. read more

Really good pizza! I love the fun atmosphere plus arcade games. Their pricing is decent and I believe worth it. It was very busy so pizza took about 15-20 mins which wasn't bad. We just played 25 cent arcade games and the time flew by. Definitely will recommend and will be back! read more

Native New Yorker here. I came with my mom (native Brooklyn-ite) and our three kids. Everyone was impressed. My mom says it's the best pizza she's had in GA and as good as NY, and I totally agree. All our kids adored it and ate until their bellies were full. The games are super fun and a quarter. The owner is so friendly. And it didn't break the bank. First trip took the missus for some pie but got the calzone instead...this place is on time! Video games for the chiren, not a bunch of fancy ingredients and the menu covers what a pizza joint models to achieve...goodness. They gotta nifty marketing thing that caught my eye and honestly wouldn't have ever tried this place because it's a hike from the casa. However, we did, been back twice again and consistency sticks out each time. Give em' a whirl, they'd appreciate it! read more

Stopped through on our way to Atlanta, pizza was solid very NY Style. Cool venue with some old school arcade games and pinball. We had slices of cheese, pepperoni, and pepperoni and banana peppers. Each piece was good and hot out of the oven, did take awhile for one of the slices to come out. Overall a positive experience and would go again if in the area. read more

The garlic knots were swimming in greasy faux butter. Pizza slices were OK, not great. Slices are amply sized, but seemed to be a par-baked crust topped to order and reheated, not like the previous NY pizza place in this location which baked whole pies and reheated them by the slice. Subtle, but meaningful difference. The biggest issue was the lack of any staff interaction or help. Where do I get a cup for my sofa? Figure it out yourself. Need silverware? You'll be hunting for a while (hint: literally the other side of the restaraunt). You order at a kiosk, put in your phone number and serve yourself both beverages and your meal when you get a txt that it's ready. And yes, they ask for a tip at the self checkout screen after zero human interaction - less than you get from fast food. As others have noted, there is a surcharge for change to play the pinball machines. That's just crazy, especially when you consider they factor the cost of change in the asked-for tip amount; you'll get $4 in quarters for about $6 when the dust settles. If you want to play aging pinball machines amongst goth Gen Z'ers and eat just OK pizza, try this place right now before they're out of business. Which will be soon read more

It was a bit of a drive for me but after my best friend sent me one of their TikTok's, I wanted to try it. Super glad I did! Perfect amount of dough, cheese, and toppings. My wife and I brought our 4 kids to Solar Slice. Ordering was done on a tablet at the counter. It was easy to order and pay. We ordered garlic knots and a 20" pizza that was half cheese and half meat. Our garlic knots were done quickly and tasted great! The pizza took about 15 minutes to prepare and cook. All 6 of us really enjoyed the food. The restaurant and the bathrooms were clean and supplied. They have probably 15-20 arcade games. If I have one critique, it would be that the pizza slices are huge and utensils are not readily available. They did provide them for us when we asked though. Definitely not a big deal, just a suggestion for improvement. I would definitely recommend and would be a regular customer if I lived here! read more

Great place. The pizza had a fantastic crust and just the right amount of toppings. My kid had the wings and fries and they were outstanding also. Only one guy was working, do the job of taking orders, cooking and serving. He killed it. Super nice guy. The place was super retro. Arcade games and pin ball machines. I've been to solar slice several times since them opening almost a year ago and each time I've tried something different and each time I am blown away by how amazing everything tastes. Zach( the owner) is extremely personable and so easy to talk with. He's great with all of his customers and has created this really cool and nostalgic space with retro pinball machines, Bob Ross playing in the background, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles going on one TV and some really cool 90s music playing overhead. The pizza, the calzones, the wings, The fries are absolutely delicious. They just added garlic knots to the menu and are highly recommended. Please please please go check this place out! read more

Best pizza I've had in quite some time. The crust isn't too fluffy and won't make you feel bloated and uncomfortable, and it's not too thin that it loses texture and softness. It's right down the middle. The sauce is great, awesome consistency and great flavor that has a touch of sweetness. The cheese has that perfect uniformity to it in being firm enough to stay with each slice, but soft enough to act as a soft and warm blanket for the pie and toppings. First visit, went classic cheese and second visit we went mushroom and onion. The veggies are fresh and flavorful as the mushrooms had that "pop" to them and the onions had a nice "crunch." Based on the classic cheese and now the mushroom/onion that I've had here, overall, solid 10/10. Inside the shop is cool too, love the aesthetics and the pinball machines and arcade games. Will recommend to anyone in the area without hesitation. read more

Their Birria pizza is a hit. The knots are unique in a way that works. And they got beer and pinball machines. I like it. I give 4 stars instead of 5 since the slices I like to buy from pizza places usually are BBQ or Buffalo Chicken and I just didn't care for how their chicken tasted. read more

The Schroom is my go to and can't seem to order anything different because it is perfect for me. Wonderful owner who you can tell is a great guy as soon as he waits on you then cook and serves your food. overall, the pizza was good, but my friend and I were both surprised that when we added on quarters for the arcade on the ipads with our food order that we didn't get the entire amount we specified. for example, on the iPad, i selected $6 for arcade quarters. the cashier gave me $4 and said that there was a charge to get dollar bills for the change machine. my friend put in $3 on her order and only got $2 in cash for the change machine. This was not clearly marked on the screen. When we asked, the cashier said it was a service charge! on top of that, I asked for a printed receipt and never got it. what a scam and so disappointing. I ended up paying tax and tip on the $6 so I actually only ended up with around $3. so shady! read more

The "regular" size is HUGE and was more like 2 servings. I added the baked salmon to my mixed greens bowl, and it was very filling for my lunch over 2 days.
