Open late, easy to order, great customer service, and a really cool theme. Pizza and wings were fresh! They also have a drive-through pick up window. That's pretty cool. read more

This place is a total gem! I have gotten take out, dined in, came in for lunch and dinner. The food is always consistent and delicious. It has become a regular stable in our household and is easily a top pizza destination. Friendly staff. I love the creativity throughout the seasons. Come with an empty belly. This is a cool little spot on Cobb Pkwy, especially if you're looking for something different from the standard places you usually go for GF pizza. They have two self-ordering kiosks at the counter, which is really convenient. When I arrived, there was no line and only one person using one of the kiosks, so ordering was quick and easy. We definitely arrived before the crowd because by the time we got our pizzas, the place had started to fill up. I ordered a GF pizza with pepperoni and hot honey, a regular pepperoni slice for my husband, and a bottled water. They also offer fountain drinks. The prices are decent. The restaurant is basically a mini arcade, with classic arcade games and even a change machine, which gives it a fun, casual vibe. The staff seemed to be moving efficiently, pushing out pizzas for both to-go orders and dine-in customers. We grabbed a table and waited about 5-7 minutes before the pizzas came out hot and bubbly. There was an issue with my husband's pizza, but they immediately made him a new one, which I appreciated. They didn't just hand it to him--they actually made it right. My pizza was good--really hot, with delicious cheese and pepperoni. I especially love a good pepperoni cup because those crispy edges are everything! I like hot honey, but honestly, I could have done without it on this pizza. The GF crust was also good--not the best I've had, but definitely good enough that I'd go back. Overall, a fun little spot with good pizza, quick service, and a cool arcade atmosphere. If you want to beat the crowd, I'd recommend going a little earlier. I'd definitely return for another GF pizza. No pics - I forgot after I dug in read more

I'll say this place still lives up to the hype 1.5 years after opening! My coworker and I stopped by here for lunch and was happy to see it gain so much business! We were lucky to grab a table after ordering from the kiosk. I got an order of garlic knots and a slice of the buffalo chicken pizza. The food came out within 10min. The knots were delicious and topped with some garlic butter and came with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. They also tasted super fresh and were super garlicky which I loved. The pizza slice I'll say was super tasty! I loved how the buffalo sauce wasn't super sour, and it had a good bit of chicken on there. It was a nice toasted slice yet wasn't burnt which was appreciated. Definitely recommend to try it out but there early or order ahead even on a weekday to beat the lunch hour rush! read more

This review is on cheese pizza only. Great dive style pizza joint with 80/90 arcade games that the kids of all ages enjoy. Self service kiosk ordering process and food is delivered to you. We had the 8.1 cheese and the regular cheese pizza. We enjoyed both but the 8.1 slightly nudged out the standard cheese for the win! Hats off to the kitchen as it was packed and they kept the pies rolling out. read more

Right off of 41 not far from the Big Chicken Solar Slice in Marietta, GA has quickly established itself as a local favorite in just two years. The restaurant is super casual with video games, pinball machines, and outdoor seating. Bright colors, Ninja Turtles, and Buzz Lightyear give it fun decor. My family ordered a cheese pizza for the kids which they devoured. It had a little hint of garlic butter on the crust. The remaining picks were slices and they were all to die for. I personally recommend the Birria Slice. Solar Slice Pizza successfully combines quality ingredients with a friendly atmosphere, the owner Zach has not only made a great pizza but a family friendly environment. Whether you're dining in or taking out, the experience is consistently enjoyable. read more

The highlight of the visit was definitely the creativity on display, especially with their Galaxy Pizza. You can tell they're trying to push boundaries and offer something unique, which I respect. The presentation and concept were interesting and different from your typical slice. That said, the Galaxy Pizza just wasn't for me. It's one of those things that others might love, but it didn't fully land for me. The crust threw me off. It was too soft, too doughy and didn't pair with the flavors . Overall, Solar Slice Pizza is worth checking out. They have pinball machines. read more

So I've heard a lot about this place and being a New Yorker have to try it for myself and see how it stacks up as I will always compare pizza to slices in New York because I believe it is the best by far. So you want an honest New Yorker's perspective, here it is. Nice vibe inside. Has a little bit of a dive pizzeria feel which I love. Video games and pinball games to play and old school games. It's a bit impersonal because you have screens to order so you don't get that interaction like you'd be used to in a New York pizzeria but not hating on technology, but had no real people interaction. Now the pizza. I'd say it was good. Slightly above average but didn't completely hit it for me. The crust is spot on but the sauce just tasted off. Not bad in any way. Still very good but this would be a 2nd place for me here in Atlanta. La Bellas Pizzeria in Marietta is much more authentic. That place when you close your eyes tastes like you are at home in New York biting into a slice. This is a decent 2nd. If they were closed I wouldn't mind coming here as a 2nd option. Still very good but not best in Atlanta to me. Just my opinion. read more

I have been wanting pizza for a few days. I was near this spot and it had good reviews on Yelp so I decided to give it a try. It was easy to locate and they have ample parking There are a few spots up front and additional parking at the rear of the building. When I walked in there were no patrons and 4 employees that could have said hello or welcome in- any greeting would have went a long way - I got nothing! I saw two computer screens and figured out I could place my order on the screen. I opted for a spinach and mushroom slice with chicken wings and a bottle of water. Total cost $15. The inside of this place offers a few tables. All of the chairs were placed on top of the tables but there was no indication as to why. They also have several picnic tables out front, I am typically the person that desires to sit outside, but on this day it was windy and I did not want to deal with that. As such when I received my slice of pizza I took a chair off the table and sat down. My wings came out at a later time. The young lady that gave me my wings did tell me that as a result of the construction on the outside guest are unable to dine in at the moment. Again- something that the staff that looked at me walk in could have easily expressed! I did sit outside and finish my pizza. It was very thin and toppings were sparse. I say just go to Costco instead! The wings were wingetts ! They were so tiny. I would not order them again. Overall this spot is a skip for me. Service was terrible. The only friendly staff was the young lady. The food was nothing to think twice about. In today's economy I can find better ways to spend my cash. Most instantly with a company that appreciates me patronizing their establishment. read more

Honestly this is my go to pizza from now on. I don't even live in Marietta and I'm going to travel the 17 miles just to get pizza from here. Reasons for this: 1.) reasonably priced: the plain cheese in 14" is 17 bucks and worth every penny. I can see why Dave Portnoy gave it a high rating. The cheese is good, sauce is amazing, and I love the well done pizza dough which was amazing. 2.) the specialty slices: I got the chicken bacon ranch slice, thought it would be only ok cause never really have high expectations for pizza by the slice. I was so damn wrong. This pizza was elite. Like for $7 I got a deal. This slice was huge, the chicken was stacked twice as thick as the dough, the bacon and ranch were amazing, and 1 slice was more than enough for a meal for me. 3.) service is on another level: I ordered the Portnoy cheese pizza 8.1 and because it wasn't "well done enough" according to them they gave me the original pizza and then remade it to the correct well doneness. I didn't ask for it they just did it, I wouldn't have known the difference in the doneness at all and would have been just as happy with my pizza. Like this is above and beyond anything any other pizza joint has ever done. They support their end product enough to tell you they messed up with out you telling them and making it right just because. A++ service. 4.) ambiance: this place has pinball machines on one side and old gaming cabinets on the other side. I love it, very nostalgic of old pizza places from my neighborhood growing up and love to see it here in my new home. Needless to say, you need to come and get a pizza or a slice from here. You will for sure leave pleased. read more

I liked this place a lot. It's a little small, but had plenty of seating. I ordered the pizza slices and you definitely get your money's worth. The slices are big! The Hawaiian pizza is really good. They have different arcade games and even little board games like chess. Overall, I would highly recommend checking out this place. read more

Originally from Northern Jersey. If you like JJs and Carlos Pizza in Marietta, your gonna love this place. Got a 20" Portnouy and a 20" Cheese. Perfectly cooked, no flop, just the right amount of grease drip. You know its good when you burn the roof of your mouth shoveling it in. Portnouy is a more well done cheese with a little char on crust. Liked it but like regular cheese better. All personal preference. Ambiance is 80s arcade including pinball and video games. Bring the whole family and some quarters. Met owner, Zach, great guy. Very special place in Marietta. Check it out. read more

I tried this place based on recommendation from a co worker. What a disappointment. I ordered a basic as it gets cheese pizza. The result was a burnt and terrible looking pie. Solar Slice Pizza - Cheese pizza- solar slice pizza. - Pizza Near Me - Marietta, Georgia

I've been wanting to try Solar Slice for awhile and I'm glad I finally did. We went for lunch on a weekday and it was fairly busy. There's plenty of parking and a decent amount of seating. You order at a computer, which was fairly easy and straightforward. It's very relaxed and unpretentious inside. There are pinball machines and 90s posters. I don't fully understand how they choose the prices as a slice of cheese is significantly cheaper than a fancier slice. The slices are large, thin NY-style. The cheese slice was fine, nothing special, but good. My friend has an allergy so she had to order a whole pie. She got the white pizza which she shared and was really yummy! She didn't want a whole pie at first but enjoyed the leftovers. The slight issue was that the three of us ordered at the same time but there were significant chunks of time between each of getting our food. We only saw one employee making pizzas which could've been the cause, but it's just strange that we couldn't really eat together. read more

Solar Slice Pizza - Cheese slice (yes I dabbed off some of the grease) - Pizza Near Me - Marietta, Georgia

I had seen this place on social media and my husband and I decided to go for a drive and check it out. There is a really cool mural on the side of the building and some parking right in front. They have indoor and outdoor seating along with plenty of pinball machines. You order on a self kiosk and you get your receipt sent over to your phone. They have a variety of seating at high stools and some lower stools too. Wait time wasn't too long. My husband ordered 2 well done pizza slices and I got one slice of cheese. They brought it to us in a nice box. The pizza looked delicious, but my slice wasn't exactly what I was hoping it would taste like. The sauce was very salty and was lacking some sort of sweetness, along with that my pizza ended up coming out well done despite me not asking for that. My husband really likes his slices but agreed it's missing some sweetness to the sauce. Overall, we are glad we checked it out but probably won't come back due to the distance and me not liking how my pizza came out. read more

We DoorDashed food to our hotel late Sunday. The wings were good, garlic knots were good, pizza was OK. Nostalgic pizzeria off busy Cobb Parkway & 120. I loved the tributes to the 80s & 90s with posters, toys, arcade games (they work) and movies. It's spacious with bar top seating to watch the kitchen at work or sit at the many tables or outdoor picnic style tables. Service was self-serve at a kiosk so pretty simple. Nobody greeted us or asked if we had questions. It appeared that the cook and two patrons were speaking Spanish so we were basically ignored. Our pizza came up fast but there was really no one else there that had ordered - they were already eating. The slices were decent. Nothing I'd rush back for. The Margarita Pizza left much to be desired. No fresh mozzarella or basil but tons of sauce. The plain slices were flimsy so my son made it a pizza roll. Maybe they can serve those. read more

Team took excellent care of me on first dining experience at Solar Slice. Hospitality was great and authentic. Flavors were bright and crust was thin. Zero flop on the pepperoni slice. Prices are good the slices are massive. I love being able to chill inside or outside or play the pinball and arcade machines. Monday at 11 pm and the whole vibe was great. KSU Marietta campus is so fortunate to have great local slice joint, open late and also really great NY style pizza. 10/10 read more

Ninja. Turtles. Arcade. This little spot off of Hwy 41, Solar Slice Pizza, is pretty fantastic. This was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade themed pizza bar with some nostalgic rock music. This pizza... is... wow!!! This is the best New York Style pizza I've ever had! To gage how good Solar Slice really is, I got a classic Large Cheese Pizza. It's a huge pizza with a thin crispy crust- sauced perfectly- and seasoned- finished with that rich cheese and a beautiful cheese pull. The famous Dave Portnoy would recognize it for having "no flop" an a "beautiful undercarriage" :) I additionally got a slice of meat lovers so that I could see how they do specialties. While my large pizza was ready in 10 minutes, the single slice wasn't ready until 25 minutes after that! I noticed when they put my slice in, it was accompanied by 7 other single slices. I wonder if they have to wait to put in single slices until they have 8 singles (to finish a full pizza). Since they do single slices, that meant all the toppings went on top of the cheese, so it was hard to keep all the toppings on my pizza, but it was pretty delicious. It was packed generously with so much meat... yum! I personally prefer the classic cheese or pepperoni for this kind of style of pizza. The arcade noises, loud music, and long lines in a small restaurant are worth noting as a big part of your experience. If you don't plan in ahead (like us), you enter in, go place your own order on the iPad stations, and potentially wait up to 35 minutes just for a single slice. While I was waiting and watching, I noticed that they do have an app and a website where you can order in advance and walk in and out real fast... I would definitely recommend ordering in advance. I would give a mediocre score to the service and atmosphere, but the pizza itself deserves a 5/5! Totally worth the wait! read more

If I could give this zero stars I would. I was told my one pizza would be ready at 6:08. When my mom got there they told her it will be ready in one hour. It's complete chaos. Love the creativity of thier menu items. Fast service with consistency!! Pizza is always hot & Fresh.

Pizza wa great. Worth putting up with service an crazy environment post portnoys review. I'll go again when craziness calms down.

This is a really good place to grab pizza on the West Side/Cobb area if you're in the area. They have great dough that isn't covered in grease or butter. The toppings are fresh and options are limitless. Value wise is on top compared to most. They have a really fun Social media presence so you can see what they do. For my selection, i ordered ahead of time and picked up, but the counter service was quick. Looking around, you have a lot of Pinball machines which if you're into Pinball, this place has some good machines in place. I ended up getting a White Pizza and Pepperoni and Mushroom split. Both were so tasty and not heavy. If you're wanting a well balanced pizza, this is a good spot. read more

Not sure what the hype is about. Ordered a 14" pepperoni and a Detroit style hot honey. Got just a pepperoni Detroit style tiny pizza. Total for two pizzas was $43 not that they gave a receipt when we picked up but that is what card shows as charged. Barely any pepperoni on the pizza. Defiantly not worth the price especially when you don't get what you ordered. Heard all the hype. Won't order again. read more

Rolled through 11pm on a Monday and this place was great. Nice vibes all around (friendly staff, good music, and arcade games if you're trying to play). My pizza order tonight was two slices of pepperoni. The slices are huge here but they are thin and well constructed. I didn't get any flop, the crust was well baked, and the tomato sauce was bright and flavorful. I definitely think that this place has lasting power and when I come to Marietta campus this place is where I wanna grab a quick lunch or late night dinner. Well done guys! read more

Solar Slice Pizza - Pinball and pizza - Pizza Near Me - Marietta, Georgia

I'm a pizza fan. I love all kinds of pizza. Chicago, NY, Detroit... pretty much, anything other than a national chain pizza... I'm down to try it. So while in town visiting some family, I tried Solar Slice. Here is my honest take..... the pizza is good. It is thin crust, slightly sweet sauce, generous toppings... if you are j to that kind of thing... the crust holds up too. Not flimsy... really good. If you are in town, you should give them a shot. Now for the reasoning behind the rating... it's Sunday at 1:45pm... the place is slammed. Business is good. Then you realize the reason it is slammed is because it takes 45 minutes or more from the time you place your order till you get your pie. No body is bussing tables. Napkins are empty. Bathrooms need attention. A crowd of customers are hovering as they wait in their pie. The food is great, the customer experience needs some work. I really wanted to be able to give 3.5 stars. But yelp wont allow that. read more

Very solid pizza. But I waited for TWO HOURS tonight for one of my two pizzas and even then the pizza was cold. The 2nd took another 20 minutes. I'm so late to putting this review up! I did do the google review the day I went, but this place is worth "yelping" about! The owner is super nice and gave me great recommendations.
