Just found my local salad spot! This location looks new, and the staff all seem to be new-hires as well. Plenty of open seating in a clean diner. If you're unfamiliar, like I was, this is a Chipotle-style, make-your salad place. There isn't very much signage as you walk in, but the bar makes everything orderly and easy to see and order. Plenty of good proteins, bases, and veggies to choose from. I walked in as the doors were opening, and I got a welcoming greeting when I reached the counter. The "regular" size is HUGE and was more like 2 servings. I added the baked salmon to my mixed greens bowl, and it was very filling for my lunch over 2 days. That makes the price of the bowl totally worth it. All of it delicious! They had a pan of fresh-baked cookies out, and I had to get one. I finally stopped in and I was not let down. I am often in this area either at Sprouts, Target, or TJ MAXX-- I know I have a shopping problem.. anyhow- I see this spot all the time and always think about stopping in but never do. This all changed last Saturday. I was in need of a meal while out and about and parked my car in the lot! Once I was parked I started to question if they were open because there were few cars around me and it appeared dark inside. However, I walked in and was surprised that they were indeed open. They had plenty of staff with 1 patron dinning in. I thought to myself " I really hope they get more business than this on a Saturday!" When I approached the counter to order- both of the staff were acting like they were super busy. One did speak and told me she would be with me in a minute. My only critique of this is that a front facing customer should always come first! I mean if you are just tidying up- you can tidy up when the customer leaves. After waiting few minutes I started my journey of building a salad. This salad bar is like the one at whole foods, but on steroids! Most of the items looked fresh. I did request fresh arugula as the small amount remaining in the container did look wilted and old. There are so many options that if you are an indecisive person you may struggle. They do allow you to try items if you request. For example when it came time for me to select a protein I was struggling between two options so I was given a sample of both. I went with the herb crab meat- so good!! I also had an opportunity to try a few of the salad dressings. I did request these on the side, but you can have them mixed in. This salad was probably one of the best salads I have ever eaten- and I did not even utilize the salad dressing! I don't know what they do to make the salad taste better than the ones at home- but man - they have me wanting more ! As I type this I am planning my journey to go order another salad! We ordered a variety of wraps, the pesto salad and some cookies and it was all so delicious, I had the chicken caesar wrap and it was amazing! Can't wait wait to try a different flavor next time. Salata...first visit but will not be my last. Salata is located off lower Roswell Rd in the Providence Square Shopping Center. It is located in the far right end of the center near Sprouts and Chili's. The business is easily visible from the street. The staff was friendly and explained how it all worked. The salad ingredients are fresh and many options to choose from. There were many protein options such as chicken, steak, seafood, and vegetarian as well. I was able to sample the protein I wanted and salad dressing before adding to my salad. I didn't try one of the lemonades but will next time. Large salad $10.90 and small $9.90. Protein is extra. It comes with croutons or crossaint. It was a nice portion size, so I had half for lunch and half for dinner. Definitely worth it. read more

They have a very good variety of fruits, veggies, protein and nuts for your toppings. Not to mention your greens for the salad. They also have a number of dressings as well. Once you have chosen all your ingredients the person (I don't know a proper title for the person mixing the salad) they will mix those ingredients with or without the dressing. I love how well the salad is mixed. Every delicious ingredient is mixed well and all that is next is to get a hefty amount on your fork and enjoy. If you haven't yet visited a Salata bar. This is hands-down my very favorite salad place. The food is very fresh and I get exactly what I want. My go-to is a crunchy veggie heavy bowl with the ranch (not sure if it's really made on-site, but it tastes like it's not from a bottle). While I have tried many of the proteins, I tend to opt for the smoked turkey. Plus, who can resist real and warm bacon. I'd you like to eat-in, they have a nice little porch or you can enjoy the A/C or heat inside. I've never had trouble finding a table if I wanted to eat on-site. Ok so I am trying the big salad at every place in town and I was looking forward to having a regular salad with chicken and loads of toppings at Salata this weekend. The salad was full of fresh veggies and toppings and I cannot complain at all about the ingredients, the service, the portion, or the price. My only concern is the taste. I didn't like the taste of the grilled chicken. Having said that, I especially enjoyed the diced beets, the default Salata greens mix, the mini croissant, the tomatoes, and the sprouts. Seems simple, but a lot of places in town don't have good produce in their salads. Next time I would probably pass on the meat altogether, as it was bringing the dish down. Salata was a hidden gem not far my office. However the location near the office had no weekend hours and closed at 4:00. I was so elated to find this location that was opened on the weekend. The prices are so affordable and they have a plethora of heathy option. I always get the small salad which is more than enough. The protein options include chicken, salmon, shrimp, crab and tofu. Excellent choice and great value for what you get. Ordered for delivery the cost was $67.00 before tip, which may sound like a lot for salad but this included 4 Salads - 1- Soup - 2 Specialty Beverages and a Dessert Cookie. Since we'd never tried it before we were unsure if portion sizes What I really liked is the build your own salad and what we ultimately did was actually order salads with greens and veggies and then simply fruit salads This is a bit of a double edged sword though as you pay the same price but receive a much smaller portion of fruit. The build your own you can choose up to 6 Bases - Mixed greens - Spinach- Romain etc. and then there are 49 add ins for which there are no additional costs except for Avocado or Asparagus- and even those are under $2 . Everything we added in was fresh and crisp and quality products. The choices of dressings is wide and you get 2 but can purchase any extras for a small additional fee. So a basic small salad can contain 50 items ! We couldn't finish it! Well worth the $11.00!! Now our downfall was thinking if we choose no base and just ordered fruits which there are about 8 to pick from- since the price was the same we thought the quantity would be the same - however it's less than half the size. That's something I wouldn't do again. I would just add in the fruit to the salad and request a separate container or to place all the fruit on one side but you live and learn!! The White Bean soup was a small serving but very good and worth the $3.75. The Chocolate Chip cookie was good but tasted like it had been refrigerated. The Specialty drink we ordered was Prickly Pear Limeade!! It was so refreshing !! All in all if you're in the mood for a fresh salad I highly recommend Salata! Hands down great place! This was my first visit to the establishment. I visited the Ponce location. I cannot believe I neither heard nor have been sooner! Especially as much as I enjoy vegetables ( if you know me then you know). I guess the guy behind the counter could tell I was a first timer by the look of sheer amazement and excitement on my face! He was very helpful and patient with me as I decided what I wanted. So let us start with the looks of the place. In one word - CLEAN. From the front door to the dining area to behind the glass where the seemingly endless toppings were housed.... it was very clean. It set up much like most of these trendy new spots where you get in line , pick your base, then your toppings and then your protein. Salads come in three sizes. They also offer your choice of bread. I was so amazed at the selection for salad I neglected to see if they offered anything else... but check the website for that. Ordering is pretty simple. Most dressings if not all are homemade and delicious If you are like me and you love salad and veggies you will instantly wonder where this place has been all my life?! It's a 10 out of 10! My first time here. Wanted a healthy lunch today but also something quick. I ordered online and my order was ready for pickup when I arrived. I tried the southwest wrap because I wasn't feeling creative enough to make my own salad today. The wrap had everything I love in it and I didn't have to make substitutions for anything. First impression was wow that's small! The taste made up for what it lacked in size. It was delicious and I'd order it again but definitely with a side dish. Only 1 star because the vegan options suck and they charge extra for salad dressing. The only dressing choices for vegans is oil and vinegar or balsamic vinegar or lemon & a sun dried tomato dressing. All the basic dressings you can get at home. To management: Please make sure that you send sick employees home. During salad prep tonight the employee sneezed into their lower sleeve, closer to the hand area. This contaminated everything. We politely said we were no longer interested in eating the salads because of the sneeze, paid anyway, and left. We assume she threw out the two salads. I do not categorize this as a sanitary place to eat. Please have your employees that prepare salads where a mask, especially if they have cold symptoms. All of the salad and toppings are uncovered and exposed, so please respect the food and your customers.
