Stopped by here after spending some time at the avenue and thought it was okay! There's plenty of parking and loved all the healthy options available. I went with the Power House smoothie which came with avocado, blueberries, cashews, flax seeds, and protein. It tasted pretty good but wish I could have added a drizzle of honey for the sweetness. It took about 5min to get my drink and liked how filling it was. Overall, I think it's okay to pick up a smoothie here once in a while but at the price point, I'd rather get a filling meal elsewhere. read more

The Avenue is a busy parking lot in a Saturday afternoon, but this was the best spot for healthy options. The courtyard had live music and some cool stuff for the family just to hang out. The diner is bright and clean, as well as the bathroom. The service was good, nothing extraordinary. Our items came out in decent time if not in order. We had a Poké bowl, açai bowl, avocado toast, a mushroom coffee, and a couple of smoothies. Everything tasted really, really good. My only issue was the $9 avocado toast. My intention was to get a smoothie but I ended up getting their Salmon Toast ($9.50) - sooooo good! The menu description was very enticing - "sustainable smoked salmon, avocado, pickled red onions, dill, sprouted bread." The taste and presentation lived up to the description - it walked the talk, lol. Every single ingredient went together perfectly - definite upgrade from your regular avocado toast - which they serve too! Staff was very friendly too. I really enjoyed my experience at Kale Me Crazy! It's an all-in-one stop for organic food and salads, juices and cleanses, and vegan items! We stopped in for Avocado Toast for breakfast after hearing how good it was, and it really exceeded my expectations! The Avocado Toast is $7 for two pieces, which is a little high, but makes sense for how fresh it is! The avocado toast was served on delicious wheat bread, with fresh avocado and egg yolk. I added a little salt and pepper and it was perfect! The orange juice was also great! It's crazy how different fresh squeezed juice here tastes from store-bought! They also have really good COVID-19 precautions, including face masks required, workers wearing masks, and social distancing. Kale Me Crazy is a franchise founded by Israeli immigrant turned mogul Roi Shlomo. You may know Shlomo as the founder of the Yogli Mogli frozen yogurt phenomenon. The idea is to have a juice bar with not only delicious cold pressed juices and smoothies but also other healthy items such as wraps, salads and even toast. Everything is made fresh daily and they do their best to use locally sourced ingredients. I read that the company is experimenting with even growing some of their own fruits and vegetables. We tried this place out looking for something new because the salmon avocado toast on their menu reminded us of 'smørrebrød', a familiar Scandinavian favorite. We also got a tuna wrap, and a side of hummus to share. The spicy vegan mayo in the tuna salad was surprisingly good, as someone who doesn't particularly like mayo. The hummus was topped with tasty add-ons, and my spouse really liked the smoked salmon too. I thought this would be more of a full service shop with bowls, healthy salads and sandwiches, etc. Instead it's really a juice bar that's trying to push a few meals on the side. They were understaffed at lunch time, one person making food and smoothies in the back, while another tried to ring up customers, clean tables, and help prep food as time allowed. They didn't have proteins to add to their salads.....except cubed chunks of deli meat? Which they forgot to add, good thing I checked before I drove away. I really liked Kale Me Crazy. This location is small and there isn't a lot of seating but everything I had was made-to-order and was fresh, nutritious, and delicious. Some may be critical of the prices but if you went to Whole Foods and purchased all of the ingredients it would be the same price. Invest in your health...it will be worth it. It was nice to see parents there with their children!!! Let's feed our children real food and introduce them to healthy eating habits!!! These parents rock!!! I came for the acai bowls. Disappointing and overpriced by about a few dollars. The deluxe should be priced at the regular. The acai itself is a big watered down in flavor. I've been making better acai bowls at home with mostly the same ingredients, since moving here from Southern California, where places like this are a plenty. I was excited to see KMC come into the Avenue but it needs to go and a better juice/smoothie/acai place should enter. The 2 smoothies I've had were also disappointing. I've had a green juice from another location which was fine. The breakfast wrap from here was pretty good. Good enough for me to emulate it and make it better at home even. I think the sauce they use is yogurt based and I just use a homemade Caesar. The ahi tuna bowl was recommended but it's nothing special. Again something so basic and simple. Yet lacking in anything unique or amazing in taste. Just ok. And definitely overpriced for what it is, especially since I don't know that I trust the quality of their ahi. I can see if you're not used to this type of food being sold at fast casual restaurants that this is a wonderful addition. And it's better than nothing. But quality is important and I just don't think KMC is quality in ingredients and taste. The prices wouldn't be an issue if it were great quality and taste. read more

I've been a loyal customer since this place opened. I used to enjoy my smoothies there, But unfortunately the last 3 or 4 times my smoothies tasted like raw dough juice. I had to return them. The quality of this place has terribly declined. Maybe theres a change of management. I noticed recently a lot of school guys are running the place. Today, as soon as my husband and I walked in, the music was so loud, it sounded like we were at a night club. The staff was in the back, they couldn't even hear the customers walking in. We had to yell for someone to hear us & attend to us. The guy that served us was a school kid that was rude with a smart ass attitude. He made me the worst smoothie ever. I had to return it. He didn't even care to turn down the blasting music when we asked him to. The AC was on full power, It was FREEZING!! I had to ask for the manager, but of course there was no manager on site. Sometimes I just don't want anything heavy in the stomach when I go out to eat, and there are very few options in the area that aren't that. I ordered the avocado toast with Ezekiel bread, avocado, hard boiled egg, Dijon mustard and scallion mix, a poke bowl with tuna, avocado, cucumber, carrots, edamame, radish, sesame seeds and furikake sprinkled on top of jasmine rice. My wife placed a pick up order for my granddaughter this evening. I noticed a horrible odor as soon as she walked in the door and she advised that she smelled it as soon as she picked up the order.
