This is a wellness shop so most items are healthy. we perused the menu on the touch screen, but then ordered with a human at the counter. I wanted to get one with an acai base so after some debate, I got the Hanalei. It didn't take long for it to come out and they let me substitute strawberries for blueberries. This was one of the best bowls I've ever had. The flavors came together perfectly and the almond butter was a nice touch. The puffed rice gave it nice texture. We ate there inside where there were a few tables. The staff was super friendly. It was expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

It didn't take long to get our smoothies and the staff were all super friendly. The store is also very clean and orderly. It was nice to see that nothing was a mess and everything was nice and organized. It's not the biggest Smoothie King, but that's not really an issue, because most people just get their smoothies to go. There are a few parking spots right in front of the shopping center where the Smoothie King is, but there are more right across in the bigger parking lot, which is where we parked, because it was full in the Smoothie King shopping center. I look forward to coming back here!

But be informed of the service aspect that can ruin one's experience. I once liked this place mainly because it's the closest i have for reliable acai and the only acai spot at The Works. The menu and management seems to have changed. I stood at the counter waiting for a worker and had to call to get someone to the counter. It happens people need a lunch break so that didn't stop me from ordering! I asked for "the classic" which is a traditional acai bowl which is usually served with a drizzle of honey on top. Not this time. I asked for the honey and was told i need to pay 1.25 extra due to "changes to the menu" which I was not aware. So I kindly declined and was forced to eat a dry acai bowl unless dishing out extra on a 12$ bowl of fruit. I was disappointed this time and don't think I would go back. I guess they could save money by not putting this flower on top and just improving the quality of the bowl and the service!

My açaí bowl was pretty solid too, fresh enough and assembled with care. The only thing that made my eyebrow hit the ceiling was the pricing on the soursop. I also happened to try another friend's bacon and egg wrap - he had specified certain ingredients he didn't want, and they missed it; when he brought it up, they were very gracious about making him another one. He didn't want his, so I tried that too, which was also tasty, but I liked the sausage one better. I also tried a smoothie there, which happens to be named after my friend - Paige's Fitness. That's one tasty smoothie, think I like that almond butter in it. This is a spot where you order at the counter, and then they bring it out to a spot where you can grab your order. There's seating all around, but it's not meant to stay long, just as easy to grab and go. Clean look overall, including the bathroom, and good food. Only drawback is that the service is a bit slow for the type of spot it is. It has a quick service feel, but not quite that speed yet. There weren't a lot of people there, but the orders still took some time. Or maybe my Yankee self is in too much of a hurry.

There's also a variety of material around like a chessboard and some books so you can lounge around, while having your drink. Not a bad place for a first date. I myself had the Strawberry Pineapple juice, and it was refreshing. It was sweet, but not overbearingly sweet. However, what I don't like and you can see it for yourself from looking at pictures of the menu on Yelp or on their websites is how they are not transparent with their prices for their items. There are some prices listed for the different sized juices and smoothies on the menu, but you don't see it for the individual items in the fridge.
