I ordered online after work yesterday afternoon. The Seasonal Salmon bowl was my warm salad of choice. As I walked in, I was greeted by a sweet girl and told where my meal was. She made sure to thank me before I left. The restaurant wasn't very busy as it was around 2:30pm. I sat in my truck and devoured 1/2 the warm salad. It was pretty big and probably one of the best salads I've had in a while. Prices It had sweet potatoes, kale, fried scallions and some amazing ginger carrot miso dressing. I have visited this location many times and have had mixed results. Typically the service and product is good when I go in person and order with the staff. However togo orders can be hit or miss. Today seemed like an agressive and intentional miss. We placed a order for curbside pick up because my wife had our toddler in the car at the time. The guy who came out to deliver the food was very short and somewhat rude. Portraying discontent with my wife as the was receiving the order. Then when we opened the food at home the product seemingly was slapped together and one salad was dressed in what I could only describe as aggressive. I've eaten here over 20 times and this is not a regular dressed salad more like triple dressed and it honestly ruined the meal. The only thing we can decearn that caused this is that we missed the tip section when ordering online. My wife was going to tip with cash upon receiving the order at curbside but we already adressed how that interaction unfolded. I hope this was just an off day or a training mishap and not an intentional act of malice toward an order that forgot to tip. Regardless, this experience has put my loyalty to the test and is making me reconsider my patronage at this location. Such a shame. read more

I visited Chopt during their opening week. I had heard from friends that the food is amazing, received a welcome mailer, and even had a coupon. As soon as I could fit it in for lunch, I went there. And, boy, was I disappointed. If you ventured off the menu, everything was a la carte. I tried to use the coupon from the mailer; they wouldn't accept it. Talk about an amazing and hard working staff. The workers always greet me with a smile and are always so kind. Jennifer is an amazing manager and always make sure that I'm satisfied. It is always clean and tidy inside which shows how hard they push to provide good service. This is a place I come to weekly now. I LOVE CHOPT!! I truly wish there were more in the OTP Atlanta area (Smyrna-Vinings would be a great choice!!) Location/Ambiance: This East Cobb location is in the shopping plaza shared by a Trader Joe's. The actual inside of the restaurant was very well-kept and someone was quickly turning the tables as soon as a group got up. I didn't have a reason to check out there restroom, but overall, very clean, bright and welcoming spot! (There is outdoor seating as well!!) Good place to meet a friend for lunch or grab a bite to-go! Service: The woman taking care of us was super friendly and helped my husband (his first time) navigate the menu and make a decision (that he LOVED). Everyone was greeted with a version of "Welcome on in!" from the staff as you walked through the door. Kiosks are available if you'd rather use the screen inside of walking up, but as they mention, you'll receive your food "to-go style", so something to keep in mind if you're ordering and staying in to eat. Food: Always delicious. Personally, I've never been disappointed by a Chopt. This is now my 4th location I've been to in the Atlanta area. My favorite is the Mexican Caesar Salad with the addition of grilled chicken. My husband landed on a Mediterranean Warm Bowl, which he LOVED. We frequent Cava pretty often and he remarked this place as "better than Cava", with "a lot more flavor" in his bowl that "seems like way more fresh ingredients". Which, is pretty great seeing as I will now be convincing him to stop by with me more often when we're on this side of town! Value: I think it's totally worth it. Comparable places like Cava, Panera, or UpBeet (as far as style of restaurant goes) I think are more expensive than Chopt but something like a Panera isn't even as delicious. I'm not certain if they use locally sourced or organic ingredients per say, but overall I think it's acceptably priced. read more

Big shoutout to the team during their opening week! Been waiting for this location to open as I used to regularly frequent locations in other states. The team did great with all the salads they had to memorize, etc. They also had great customer service, even though every time I've been there's been a line. Let's talk food - their MexiCali Vegan is fire. It is still my favorite and the dressing is vegan and soy-free. For non-vegans go Santa Fe for some spice or the Chicken Ranch (according to my non-vegan friends). You also get to choose how much sauce you want (light, regular, heavy) and can customize salads with the build your own. This is a new store set up, so if you don't order online, go to the end of the bar to start your order. They will ring you up in the middle while your salad is chopped. Utensils, etc. are at the end of the bar closest to the restaurant entrance. There's also indoor and outdoor seating. Parking isn't too bad as it is just far enough away from Trader Joe's, so don't hesitate stopping by during peak hours. Again, shoutout to the team and management! I'm disgusted. I've been to Chopt a few times, primarily in NYC. I got excited leaving Trader Joe's realizing that Chopt has been added to the neighborhood. The employee takes my order, adds the ingredients to the bowl, and before tossing my salad she goes to the register while holding the bowl in her hand and makes me pay before she continues. What is that about? So subtly mumble, "wow - payment up front, huh?" She doesn't respond. The woman behind me (she's white) gets her salad made, and she tosses her salad and then proceeds to take the payment. I'm absolutely disgusted. Never have I ever felt so degraded. Did she think I was going to change my mind or something? Not have enough money to pay? I'm just utterly disgusted. I purposely left the employees name out for the sake of the holidays and I know it's hard for managers to staff their establishments and people to find jobs; however, I don't think I will return to this location and I will send this exact complaint to corporate. My workplace has ordered from Chopt several times this year for catering and delivery. Every time they have been easy to work with and the quality of food has been great! They have handled our large orders with care and made sure everything was fresh and carefully packaged. It is nice to have healthy lunch options. Just ate a great salad at this very new little cafe. The menu is pretty good, healthy and enough variety to satisfy most. The only issue I have is with their drinks. The sweetened ice tea is really really really sweet but also very weak in terms of tea. The raspberry cooler is nothing more than colored water and the lite lemonade is horrible. So, just get plain water and you will be good to go. Service was good but I think they could use a little more training. Their thought patterns aren't typical of restaurant workers but training can correct that easily. Ambiance - it's a salad shop. No real ambiance to create. I'm a huge fan of Salata across the street so this new salad cafe will definitely compete. Both charge $20.00 for salad, protein and drink. read more

I decided to try this restaurant yesterday with a friend. It was a late lunch and no other customers were there. The worker behind the counter was very rude when I asked where to find prices ( since they weren't on the actual menu ). She was "snippy " and you could tell did not want to be bothered. The food is not very flavorful. The bowls are okay but not the greatest. I ordered 2 different types of bowls and I was not impressed.

Ordered 4 warm bowls as takeout. Two of them had ingredients not matching the order. Back to Salata next time.

I really wanted to love it, but I don't feel the need to go back. I was underwhelmed. We arrived around 7:20 and looked at the menu while we waited for a large group to order. We ordered around 7:35 and employees were scurrying around, prepping for close at 8. I first asked about a menu special I had seen online - a vegan crunch item where part of the proceeds go to charity. Blank stare- she had no idea what I was talking about. Later someone told me that item has to be ordered online. (Training opportunity) The employee was obviously new, and kept turning around to look up at the big overhead menu to see what goes into my bowl. (Chopt- you could put little menu cheat sheets behind the ingredients for employees.) As she was making my bowl, she realized they were out of 2 of the ingredients. It would be better to tell someone up front that they're out of 2 of the main ingredients in their order. (Then I might have ordered something different. I realize she may be new & just learning. No big deal. There just seemed to be a lot of confusion behind the counter about what was available or not.) It would be good if the menu items showed an option to substitute the protein. They offer falafel (most were crumbled into pieces) or tofu (plain raw cubes- bland- no seasoning) Those are listed under the build your own section. My friend was offered bread but I was not. (Maybe some items don't get bread?) It tasted fine but it's expensive for what you get. The toppings were tasty but fairly skimpy. Gusto and Salata are nearby and have better protein options for vegetarians. Even Willy's has grilled marinated tofu. So many people are eating plant based proteins now.
