A taste of the Quad Cities right here in Acworth, Georgia. If you aren't familiar, the quad cities is an area at the Illinois and Iowa boarded known for their sweeter, thin crust, fun toppings, and huge amounts of cheese that is cut into strips. I have had the pleasure of enjoying quad cities style pizza in the Midwest including in the Quad Cities so I had something to compare Generations to and I must say they hit the nail on the head. The crust is on the chewier side with a slight malt sweetness. The toppings completely covered the pizza which I loved. There wasn't a single bite you didn't get toppings. As a cheese lover I appreciated the overwhelming amount of cheese that smothered the pizza. I ordered these pizzas for takeout. I arrived around 2:00pm on a Saturday. The space is separated into a dining room and kitchen/bar area. I was greeted promptly and given a menu. The gal behind the bar was very nice and engaging. I would love to go back to hang out at the bar and have a beer with my pizza. It had a great home town feel. I've been wanting to try Generations for a while and I am glad I finally made it in. Your employee didn't ask NICELY. My wife explained that she was unable to return the cup to the car since she was dropped off. She did comply by emptying cup of WATER, but kept her cup. Your employee was very rude and decided that the $2 fee was more important than keeping a long time customer. read more

Great neighborhood gem. If you live near here and haven't come in- WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU??!!! Great pizza and the wings looked so good we ordered some to go. Our waitress, Haley, was fantastic. She was patient and took time to answer our questions. The beer was perfectly served in a cold (not chilled) glass and was the right addition to the pizza. As you can see I hated it such a well put together pizza... we ordered Deluxe Specialty and substituted blk for green olives. You can actually watch a baseball game if ya sit outside! Spacious bar area if you are by yourself. Will recommend! The service was impeccable! Great for families as well! read more

I debated between 4 and 5 stars before paying but I'm going to go with 5. The atmosphere is very relaxed with tons of regulars. We started off with the cheesy bread that is delicious! I would go back just for this alone. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a meat lovers type pizza. Pepperoni has quite a bit of sauce and it overpowered the pizza. They were generous with the meat on the meat lovers pizza and it was outstanding. Cons: $70 for 3 people is crazy to me. Pizza was good, but not gourmet. The drinks are $3 a piece which is a tad high, but maybe it's normal for this area as we are not from here. You must order a drink because the water itself is horrible. I was also surprised that the mushrooms were canned mushrooms not fresh - I prefer fresh, especially when everything else is so fresh. Let me sat this, if you're hungry then do not go here because everything FRESH and made to order - we waited over 45 mins for our pizza (it was made incorrectly the first time). The taco pizza at Generations Pizza is out of this world and takes me back to Iowa (God's county) in 1999 to 2005 when taco pizza was available in abundance. Being from NE Indiana where Taco Pizza is oddly a thing.. trust me, this IS the only proper Taco Pizza I've found in GA. I was pleasantly surprised at this little gem. We were craving pizza on the way home from the park and placed a take out order. The pizza was very well seasoned, crispy crust (even though we took it to go) and was very reasonable priced. So happy we have an awesome pizza place in the area. Well Done! Update: 08/12/2020 - Ordered again and this time were disappointed. We ordered the garden pizza and the sauce lacked the taste of the last pizza, and the toppings looked like someone spun the pizza at 300 rpms and all the toppings flew to the outside. First ones here on a Thursday evening with a party of 6. Staff was very accommodating and quick with drinks. The place filled up fast! The manager came by and said welcome in and wanted to know if we were going to have wings because they take a while to cook. So we said yes and ordered the cheese bread app as well. The place filled up fast and they have limited seating. The staff took care of everyone quickly and efficiently. We got one taco pizza and one sausage mushroom pizza. Both were delicious and fresh! The Teriyaki and the honey bbq wings came out shortly after the pizza. The sausage is crumbled style and awesome! The taco pizza has nacho chips and lettuce with refried beans as the pizza sauce! Short answer--this place rules, go here now. Long answer-- I stumbled upon Generations by accident when I was getting a pedicure next door. We came in for a quick drink and a snack. We sat at the bar. They have 6 beers on draft, and I was surprised that they had a good IPA. We ordered the cheese bread and loaded tater tots. The bread was to die for! So crispy, buttery, chewy in just the right way, with lots of garlic flavor. The marinara was AWESOME. Thick and delicious. The loaded tots were covered in perfectly-cooked bacon. Very yummy! The beer was cold and fresh. Pam took great care of us, and we chatted with some other friendly patrons at the bar. I was so impressed that I had to come back to try the pizza. I returned the following day with my family, and we had the chicken bacon ranch pizza and the taco pizza. Both were delicious! The taco pizza was so unique--like nothing we've had before. It was topped with crushed taco-flavored Doritos--amazing! The pizza is affordable and damn good. Kim took great care of us and was super friendly. The beer prices here are outstanding. The Scofflaw Basement IPA was $4.25. I've drank this beer all over town and it's never less than 6 bucks for a pint. Score! The candy treat at every table (Starburst!) is a really nice touch. I love this place, and we will be regulars. Check them out! Papa John has enough money, support a small business which is doing it RIGHT! I'm from out of town, Columbus Ohio. I travel for work. I'm a pizza person for sure! I've had pizza all over the US... from SD to TX, Vegas to New York and Chicago, FL to ME! This is easily the top three best pies I've ever had! I've had them twice now, delicious... even next day cold! Favorites are pepperoni-extra cheese, and the amazing Buffalo chicken! Hit this place up while in town for a baseball tournament. Doesn't look like much from the outside but this place serves up some tasty pizza. Pizza selection is good and the hand tossed crust was crispy without being overdone. The choices of toppings was satisfactory and we built our own pizza although several house specialties are available. Our server was friendly and very attentive without being intrusive. We were a little disappointed in the loaded tater tots appetizer which amounted to store brand tots, sprinkled with sparring amounts of cheddar cheese and salad style bacon bits (thus the 4 star rating).
