We came for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, I'm glad the background music wasn't too loud so that we could still hear each other. The kitchen got all of our dishes out quickly, probably one of the quickest services I've ever had. I had the duck breast over polenta. It was nicely cooked with crispy skin. The polenta was silky yummy. My husband had the lobster ravioli in vodka sauce which he said was ok, nothing special. Others had the four cheese pasta, linguini fra diavlo with shrimp, filet di manzo, pepperoni flatbread, and something else I can't remember. Everyone said their entree was a-ok. The biggest hit at the table was the creamy leek soup, even my little boys lapped it up. I wouldn't rush back here but I wouldn't mind coming back if my family wants to return. read more

Great food, service pretty good. The brick oven pizza called. the lasagna is very delicious. So far, this is the best place for a personal pizza and they even provide a station of fresh cut garlic, hot pepper flakes and shaved Parmesan cheese that you can help yourself. The ambiance is pleasing for families and friends. The seating area is just right and if you place an order to go, it comes up very quickly. They also served gelato there, which is very nice. Got a last minute reservation for a large group at Fusco's for dinner. The restaurant is small but has a great vibe. There is a small bar and an adjacent pizza restaurant although we did not eat there. We had a table for 10, all of which were on separate checks. Our server Ava didn't miss a beat. She was friendly and accommodating and kept the drinks flowing. The menu is authentic Italian and the flavors are delectable. The bruschetta appetizer was amazing and a good portion. I had the goat cheese ravioli with pancetta special which was rich and delicious. The entire table raved about their entrees. The kitchen even did a special meal for one of the ladies with severe dietary restrictions. Save room for desert as the ricotta cheesecake is not to be missed. The first time I ate at Fusco's was the day that Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson both passed away. I remember that T ordered mussels, and I had seared ahi. We were so impressed that more than a decade later we still rank Fusco's amongst one of our favorite local restaurants. Technically, my review is 4.75 stars .... but since I like the owner (a no-nonsense, hands-on former Brooklynite) I rounded up. Most entrees are served with either a Caesar or Mista (field green) salad. Everyone at my table ordered something different. The general consensus: delicious! ** Sausage and Peppers -- a wonderful choice. Served with a soft hoagie roll, I tore off pieces and topped the bread with the goodies on my plate. After the fact, I realized my dish was supposed to come with marinara sauce. It didn't. But I probably wouldn't have used it anyway. ** Gamberi Fra Diavolo -- Ellen asked that her shrimp and pasta be cooked mild vs spicy (thus the fra diavlo!) No problem! ** Zuppa di Pesce -- Another winner with shrimp, mussels, clams, calamari and tomato broth served over spaghetti ** Short ribs -- one of the evening's specials. A perfect choice for our friend who leans towards basic American fare. For dessert my husband and I shared cannoli, three minis per order. Based on a Yelper's comment that the shells are partially filled, I asked our server to make sure they didn't skimp on the ricotta. Perfecto! As good as what I get in NYC. Our friends shared a chocolate souffle. Plated with a scoop of ice cream it was a pretty presentation and according to Ellen, tasted as good as it looked. Fusco's has a dedicated following. Reservations, particularly for Friday or Saturday evening, are strongly suggested. If there is no street parking, feel relatively confident you won't be towed in the lot across the street, when the medical facility and neighboring pharmacy are closed. One last comment: during the height of the pandemic the restaurant wasn't open for lunch. If they're back to their former hours and you like decadent bad-for-you Italian cold cuts -- yes please! -- consider the Mulberry Street sandwich. Nice little Italian place, we sat out on the patio when she was quite comfortable with the ceiling fans and heaters in the winter time. Service was extremely pleasant. We had the butternut squash ravioli and A Pepperoni flatbread very good. The only thing a bit confusing it is next-door to a pizza place with the same name so if you were looking for the round pizzas this is not your place. It would be nice if they would offer a few of those pizzas at the restaurant. In downtown Acworth which is a cute upcoming area. read more

Enjoyed dinner in downtown Acworth with a group of 10. We had attended the Acworth Beer and Wine Festival with several friends so this quaint Italian restaurant was packed with diners for our early 5:00 pm reservation. This restaurant is located in a storefront with free street parking along with parking spaces in a small lot across the street from the business. They had to break up our group into a 6 top table and a 4-person booth; we were disappointed but it worked out great for us because we sat with two great friends that we have known all our lives but had not seen in a few years. We were seated quickly and our server arrived at the table immediately to take our drink orders. My wife and her girlfriend had Moscow Mules which they both enjoyed. Our server was very friendly and attentive throughout our dinner. My better half ordered the duck which is one of her favorite dishes. I ordered the veal Marsala with house-made pasta. My Veal dish was EXCELLENT! My wife liked the duck but she loved my Veal Marsala. The other couple ordered a pizza and a seafood pasta dish. All meals were served with choice of soup or salad and fresh bread with Olive Oil and Parmesan cheese for dipping. The Mushroom Bisque was excellent. We came here for dinner on a Sunday night without a reservation and it was not a problem. Before we start, there is a pizza place next door with the same name that is affiliated that has its own review page. This is for the restaurant, which does not serve pizza, but has flatbreads that are rectangular in shape and come from next door. In addition to the Salami flatbread, I started with the Calamari and it was a large portion with not too much breading. It was not a heavy dish and was a great starter. The flatbread was large as well and cut into 4 slices. There was a good amount of meat and the crust was crunchy. I also tried some of the wedding soup and that was good as well. The manager came by and told my kids that if they finished their meal, they would get free gelato. This highly motivated them and their gelato was comped. This restaurant did not disappoint! The food was delicious. We ordered the Margherita flatbread, Calamari Fritti, risotto, and the tiramisu! Every dish was worth ordering again. My risotto had prawns with roasted, crispy lemongrass and fresh herbs. I wanted to share, but it w was too mouthwatering to entertain the idea of sharing. Seriously though, this was a great place to eat. The service was excellent, too. I have been to Fusco's numerous times in the past 15 years or more. Quality, dependable food and service. For this visit we went after my son's high school graduation. Sadly I did not take any pictures. I guess I was enjoying the moment and that probably in the grand scheme of life is more important. It was a warm day, and my mother and I both had the sangria. It was quite refreshing and very tasty. We shared an order of calamari which were very good. Sauce was excellent. We were all having a hard time deciding where to order until we heard that there was a lasagna special. Our waitress made mention that every time they had lasagna on the menu that it sold out. So, we were boring and 3 of the 4 of us got lasagna. My son for the white four cheese sauce on fettuccini and added an Italian sausage. Each meal came with a salad. My mom really enjoyed the house dressing on her salad. I had a Caesar, which was also quite good. Now to the good stuff......that lasagna. Lots of layers and meat. Some ricotta but not at all too much. Did I say lots of layers......so many yummy layers. We all mmmmed our way to dessert. I had tiramisu and my kids split the chocolate soufflé. Now that our daughter lives in north GA and we are in south Atlanta, get togethers are tough. But for a combined birthday celebration we settled on this gem. There were 7 of us and I reserved a table, which was a good idea. With 3 adults, 3 finicky teenagers and a VERY talkative 5 year old, our server Kayla had her hands full. But she never lost patience, never broke character. She memorized our orders, and despite many, many changes to the "official" menu, she got it all right. Catering to 3 vegetarians and one gluten-free diet, we ordered pastas, pizzas, salads and more. My Italian husband's Shrimp Diavolo was the best he's ever eaten, and I loved the special, which was Beggars Purse Pasta stuffed with cheese and pears! My 19 yo grandson took several bites and was sorry he hadn't ordered it. A less-sophisticated 15 yo didn't care for his pasta so they graciously changed it for him, and the 5 yo also gave her pasta to another sibling and then asked for a child's pizza. The gluten-free spaghetti tonight was spaghetti SQUASH, perfectly done, healthful and delicious. We all managed dessert, and everyone got something different: tiramisu, cheesecake, gelato, cannoli and chocolate souffle! Ate here early on July 26. A friend and I met up to grab dinner and chat. One of my co-workers suggested the restaurant and said it was good. I love good Italian food, so I figured we'd give it a try! They have some indoor and outdoor seating. It was pouring rain and very humid, so we sat inside, but passed a table with a couple drinking chocolate or espresso martinis that looked really good. The place is mainly decorated with dark wood, so it's homey feeling. We took our time perusing the menu and ordering. Our waitress checked in with us frequently, but did not make it seem like she was rushing us. We tried the seasonal sangria, which I really enjoyed, especially at $5/glass! My friend got the lemon martini which had a great balance of sour and sweet. We decided on arancini and got 2 large ones in an amazing tomato sauce. It was good, but I would have liked it to be hot instead of just warm. I like my food burning my mouth. I ordered the penne in the vodka sauce, which had crispy pancetta and peas, while my girl friend went with the fettuccine Alfredo and added chicken. She was very impressed with the tenderness of the chicken and took half her meal home since she got a large portion. My sauce was probably one of the better ones I've had and I ate the whole thing! We finished off the meal sharing the chocolate cake with ice cream. The only criticism I could have for this place is the pasta isn't fresh. Wasn't planning to write this review, as I wanted to give the manager an opportunity to make it right. But here we are. I really wish I could provide a zero star review. My husband and I are not new to the area, but decided todo dinner here on a Tuesday night. Walked in to find $5 wine specials, so I decided to order a glass. The glass came to the table dirty, with white powder all around the rim and in the wine. I immediately sent the glass back, asking for a new pour and glass. I watched as the waitress went to the bartender, both proceeded to laugh, roll their eyes and pour the SAME wine into another glass. Waitress brings it back over, white substance still floating in the wine. I send it back again. Same laughing and rolling eyes, but now both looking at me. Guess that $2 buck chuck is worth too much to their bottom line to not throw it out for a fresh glass. Shame on both of them. Ten minutes later the waitress brings me a glass "on the house" as an "apology". I order another. So my total for wine should have been $5. We get our tab, and I was charged TWICE for $11 a glass. So not only did they charge me for the "apology glass" but they charged me normal price for two glasses. $22 total. I decided not to address it, as I was tired of being the topic of conversation at the bar. My husband STILL left a 22% tip. Fast forward, I email the manager the next day to share my experience. He seems apologetic and offers to send us a gift card to try again. 3 weeks went by, and we got no gift card. I let the manager know, and still have not gotten one. They had plenty of time to try to rectify the situation and make it better, and they chose not to. Reality is, there's a lot better Italian restaurants in the area, by the looks of that Tuesday night emptiness and service, other customers have figured it out too. The waitresses that served our table was a young blonde. The bartender was a brunette with tattoos. They were clearly friends. Life advice for the waitress and bartender -- Character is defined as what you do when no one is watching. When you work in the resturant industry, people are always watching. Shame on you both. We've been here so many times now that I've lost count. They always do an amazing job. Everything I've had on the menu has been delicious. You can't go wrong! The things I don't like: the ladies at the front always make it such a big deal if you don't have a reservation. They look at you like you're stupid even when there are only two tables seated. Every so often they miss a little on the specials. I had a veal special that was spectacular, but needed more sauce to complete it. So the rest was just ok. My gripes are minimal and my praises are high. This place is fantastic and deserves your attention. read more

We are frequent patrons for many years and this last visit was very disappointing. My meal was served about 30-40 minutes late due to an issue with the computer system. Most restaurants would have offered to pay for the dish due to the very late delivery. However, this manager (Wednesday night) decided to be condescending while lecturing me and then not accountable for the late meal. Her rudeness ruined my evening. read more

The male bartender was very loud and clearly drunk. We were sitting across the restaurant and could hear every word of his conversation. The manager was drinking at the bar as well. Our server Haleigh was clearly overwhelmed, despite only having a few tables (we came around 8 and the restaurant was emptying out). It took over 30 minutes for my husband and I to order, and we finished our appetizer before he got his drink. The pasta was okay, but not nearly good enough to make up for the crappy service. Keep in mind, if you're fed up with bad service and decide to get the tiramisu to go, you will get mostly whipped cream and be charged a $1 to go fee. read more

The server, Allie, asked if she could box up the remainder of our food, but after getting home, she had only sent us with boxes of bread. I'll give it 3.5, rounding up to 4. We came here on a Saturday and had reservations but it took some effort to get a booth. They wanted to seat us under a "fan" table which wasn't ok with me. I would have taken a patio table but their patios lack in comfort and atmosphere. I used to think I haven't met a patio I didn't like until now... So you need to specify your table preference when making reservations. They have an extensive drink list but most of it is sugary concoctions so I went with a Manhattan and it was done right! Our waiter was very frazzled and it took him a while to get our orders straight. Maybe new? For the app we tried blue points and they were on point (pun intended ;) No oyster forks though, folks, so you have to eat your oysters with an app or dinner fork :( For my entree I chose duck breast with polenta, which came with a side of salad. Delicious. Bathrooms: not usually something I mention but boy do they give you tons of reads lol (see pics) Overall: very loud (hard to have a conversation here), if there was music, it was drowned by people yelling. I am Italian and Fusco Pizza cooks great pizzas (we ordered Margherita) and Sicilian Arancini. The Pizza had fresh basil and perfectly cooked on top and bottom. The arancini were outstanding. They also offer healthy salads like spinach eggs ham salads. Wish they could expand ad a Franchise in North Georgia. read more
