Best pasta manufacturer in town. Family owned and operated. I've driven 60 miles one way to purchase their products.

This is a very unassuming pizzeria nestled in a small borough of Kennesaw. From the outside is…read moredoesn't look like much. On the inside it's a quaint dining area with a parlor style, very simple chairs and tables. You've got full view of their pizza oven which is engraved with Vesuvio on the front. Sparsely decorated with vintage and photos reminiscent of Napoli Italy. They host Neapolitan style pizza which includes simple and fresh ingredients and a thin crust making it easy to fold a piece of their pies together to prevent spills. There is a small fridge with drinks on the side. You go up to the counter, grab a menu and tell the cashier/hostess what you want and you pay right at the counter. Tipping is optional. We ordered the margherita and porcillina pies. The first had all the expected toppings. I really liked the taste of the fresh mozzarella and they didn't heavily sauce it so it was a delicate balance. Topped with marzano tomatoes and basil was so delicious. The second was topped with Italian sausage and spicy salami. Just a slow heat that wasn't overpowering which I really liked. The crust on both were very evenly cooked, a wonderful blend of chewy and crispy. I also didn't feel like these pies were heavy. They didn't weigh down your stomach afterwards. I was also eyeing their homemade bruschetta which I think I would try next. The prices here were also quite good, no higher than 16 dollars making an affordable night out. The simplicity and freshness of the food makes it worthwhile to visit and try for yourself!

Everything is done properly and stays true to the Neapolitan style. It's also about a five-minute walk from the train station, which makes it a great option if you're short on time and want a reliable, classic pizza without going far. Solid execution, even if it didn't quite stand out compared to some of the top spots in the city.

Old world atmosphere, great service, and good food…read more Garlic rolls here are amazing! Salad is good with a nice mix of iceberg, tomato, beets, chic peas, mushrooms, and fresh grated parmesan in a tangy Italian dressing. I had classic pasta wity meat sauce. It was goid, not great. Would have been better if the pasta was drained better so the pool of water doesn't dilute the sauce as much as it did to mine. The sauce otherwise was good. My wife had seafood pasta with rosatelli sauce that was very good. The scallops and shrimp were very good and not skimpy. Would definitely order again. My wife was given spumoni ice cream with an annisette cookie. Ice cream was good with a mix of chocolate, strawberry, and pistachio ice creams; enjoyable. The annisette cookie could have been good if it weren't on the stale side. We enjoy Provinos. Good food, good service, casual atmosphere, and reasonably priced.

The inside decor was very dim, dated & just gives you the creeps. The service was good - no complaints there. The host and our server were very nice and attentive. The food was absolutely atrocious and overpriced. Aside from the starter salad, everything I tried was fried in old oil or covered in a strange greasy butter. The garlic rolls that come before the meal are the most odd, greasy-tasting rolls I've ever had. The garlic was so potent; it was inedible. When our bottle of wine arrived at the table, the waiter just set it down & walked off. It was something I had never experienced. It seems like this place has had a good run in year's past, but I think it's time to see it go.

I've been to the two locations (Acworth and Calhoun) on several occasions, always order the veal parm. It's always fantastic. The veal is very well seasoned and tender enough to cut with a fork. Every single time!! Four stars due to the lack of greeting every time I've been there. Four stars because the servers tell you they'll be right back with something but you have to continuously remind them. Great ambiance in both locations. The cooks in the kitchen move the food very quickly. It is always served hot. Their servers, however, are what's keeping this from being a five-star review. My advice to the servers, especially when you're NOT busy: 1. Greet the customers as we enter. 2. Be friendly other than when you're taking my order. 3. Fulfill your promises timely. 4. Remember, you are in a service role. Your service directly impacts your restaurant's reputation and repeat customers. I'll keep coming back for the food. I will continue to be critical of the service until it improves. I look forward to the day I can give Doro's five stars.

I loved this specific location in 2022-2023. The bread was always warm with the amazing seasoning,…read moreand it was always packed. Not sure what happened but in 2024-present the food is not good. The service keeps getting slower and terrible. It took like 20 minutes for drinks to come out, an hour for the food. The crazy part the server didn't even bring any of it out, they have bus boys and food runners. My steak was so overcooked & raw at the same time. The steak was not cooked on the inside but you can see it was dark on the outside. The 9oz filet looked like it was 5oz. The pastas here are decent, but used to be Amazing. They never could get the steak right. I loved the caprese burrata salad it was refreshing and filling. This was the best appetizer. The calamari was bland and the scampi was so sour. The worst part for me was, They offered me a birthday dessert on the house. When it came no candles. They usually do for people, and even sing. Then he charged me for it. I also hated when the bill came the server circled the tip suggestions, like he demanded the tip. While we still tipped, I felt the service was very undeserving of 30%. He barely came to our table, when he did he kept gaslighting us into getting different meals. I wanted the rigatoni martino, but he kept insisting we order a more higher ticketed item. Our friend who was vegetarian wanted to get a regular plan pasta promodoro, but he insisted we get gluten free pasta for her with plain tomato sauce. He kept mixing vegetarian with vegan. She can have eggs and cheese. We didnt understand why she had to get gluten free plain pasta. Anyways I'm sorry I loved this place, but I don't think I will come again. Its just not worth it. We were there for 3hrs, the food wasn't good. In this economy I just can't waste money on bad food and bad service.

Our drinks and food were ordered quickly, we were sat at our table for a littler over an hour and a half. They unfortunately ran out of key ingredients we asked for so we weren't able to get the full experience, so wish the server remembered to mention as we ordered. The flavors, texture, temperature were all very good. I took my food to go and only ate half. Once I ate the rest the next day it was just as good and didn't get a gummy texture. I ordered the salmon and mash potatoes and it was soooo good. They gave us bread to go by request as well
