We went to dinner yesterday and took our 3 grandsons. We loved the pizza and calzones we ordered. The pizza are all 1 size and I ordered 3 Pepperoni, sausage & cheese. Hard to say anything bad about this place. Conveniently located on Main Street in the heart of downtown Acworth is this independently owned and operated, local, pizzeria. The space is a little tight, or you could say cozy, but it very relaxing and inviting. There is a counter in the back of the dining space to order your pizza, drinks, and/or gelato. Once you order you get a number and the food is brought to your table. There is no table service. The pizza is damn good. Wood fired to perfection with delicious, fresh ingredients. The menu is quite sizable and offers up some super fun and creative topping combinations along with classics like the Margherita. My son loves this place. He goes straight cheese. I like toppings on my pizza. I ordered a pizza (Italian Beef) that I regret (that's on me) but I asked for it well done. The nice lady behind the counter said it's crispy by default with charred edges. So I was happy to hear that. However, this was the doughiest pizza I've had in a while and the opposite of crispy. Fast service which is good, but in this case they should have let the pizzas bake a couple of minutes longer. If you are a person that likes a basic cheese, then this is your place. Adding toppings to your pizza will weight it down and turn into a mess and damn near impossible to eat without a fork and knife unless you want to wear it. Menu is on the wall, order at the counter. The woman, short hair, that helped me first picked up on that it was my first time there. One size pizzas. Salads. Beer/ wine/ sodas. Gelato and coffee options. She was warm, inviting, engaging. Asked for her recommendation. Ordered a popular meat pie and a cold red table wine. Soooooooo satisfying. Enjoyed the pizza immensely. (Of this pie is not commercial. You cannot compare the two.) Thin, great elasticity, crunch, pizza oven char taste. Sauce. Perfect ration. You can go too far. They don't. Toppings. Top notch. Still daydreaming about the sausage. Cute spot. Good food. There I was, happy. Then comes the second order. Ordered a veggie pie and pint of gelato, to go. Young man, baseball cap, Roman numeral tattoos.... Walked up to the counter. Asked to help me and preceded to.... How to phrase this. Not make eye contact, speak low, seem completely disinterested in my presence. Took me by surprise. He gave me my food and scooped my gelato a few minutes later. Was a little more responsive. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. Is he having a bad day? Is he shy? Did he just stub his toe? The fact is that a lot of recent posts mention the lack of customer service. Small dine in area with minimalist furniture, We went with Garlic knots ,Matgherita and Cheese pizzas. Garlic knots are top shelf. The crisp slightly darkened crust adds a nice touch to the pizza. Both were tasty and enjoyable. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a lot to eat. Went home with 3/4 of the cheesecake pizza and over half an order of garlic knots. I wish I would've taken a picture to show just how amazing this place's pizza is. Don't even get me started on the garlic bites... My husband & I literally drove on that recent snow day to go pick this food up...We just had to have it to complete the coziness lol the people are also so nice & the restaurant gives you that old Italy/New York feel. I love Pizza By Fuscos but sadly, I will admit that I still haven't eaten there. It's on my list and I'm trying to eat there soon. Some people may not know this but Acworth has an open container zone. Around Main Street, you can walk around with your adult beverage. I'm not sure how big the zone is but if you walk out of it there will be a sign that says "No alcoholic beverages past this point." I hear that you might actually get a fine for drinking outside of the zone, so pay attention. I love freedom and taking a walk with a glass of beer or wine. Yay Acworth! And Yay Fuscos! Thanks! I come in with my daughter for a pregame pizza before her dance recital and I couldn't even take her to the bathroom because there was a drunken man yelling and banging on the door at a young lady who later came out with tears in her eyes. The standard single person size, the preset menu, the typical Italian oven - it reminds me of Naples or Rome. It is different and yet familiar , to me anyway. We love it. On Saturday evening Ackworth was hopping! The street was full and most restaurants had waiting lines. This place was busy, but no line, so we ordered a large salad and a margarita pizza. The salad was huge and filled with lots of veg and ham and salami. The large salad was enough for three. The pizza however was bland and undercooked, with a swathe of tomato paste, a few very small dots of cheese and several large leaves of basil tossed about. Outstanding flavor. I was blown away by the lasagna pizza. Don't let the name fool you, it was a perfectly balanced delight! It would be great if they could adjust the oven temp slightly so the bottom cooked a bit more, but if they did that currently, it would totally burn the crust. My wife and I have enjoyed this place since it opened. It's so much better than the franchise pizzas and at times it's been excellent. The pizzas can be very traditional and delicious, using a variety of toppings such as artichoke, prosciutto, excellent sausage. The issue has been in my opinion inconsistency in their staff and execution of the recipes. But it's a great space in downtown Acworth. A lovely old building. It's very family friendly but with a good selection of beverages and dessert options. In the last year I think it's been more consistent and I hope going forward we'll enjoy. I've been to Fusco's 8-10 times now and have tried several varieties of their pizza.    They sell it as individual serving, but I've found that I my wife and I get a salad, we can easily split the pizza between us.    The pizza reminds me of of my favorite in the Atlanta area - which is Antico.    The way you sit at picnic tables, or the table full of accessories such as olive oil, parmesan cheese, peppers etc...   Maybe this is what all Neapolitan pizzerias are like in Naples,  I've not been.    They have also made some improvements over Antico, like paper plates, and perforated paper towel/napkins.   Sounds like a little thing, but it's definitely and improvement I'd like to see Antico make.   First I like the crust a lot.  It has great flavor and cooked to perfection each time.    I've tried the San Genaro(Tomato Sauce, Sausage, Imported Pepperoni, Mozzarella, Pecorino-Romano, Caramelized Cippollini Onions & Peppadew Peppers), Margharita (Tomato Sauce, Garlic, Fresh Mozzarella & Basil)  Verdurra, and Napolitano (Broccoli Rabe, Italian Sausage, Mozzarella & Pecorino-Romano) and the meat lovers which was their special one day.   My favorite is probably the San Genaro.    The red sauce is great, the Italian sausage much better than you can buy in your average grocery store, the cippollini onions add some sweetness and the peppers bring some heat.       If you are going to try, I would encourage you look at the menu in advance.    I've actually seen people look at the chalk board menu and walk out.   I assume because it's a bit overwhelming, it was for me the first couple trips.   In summary, the pizza is very good, their ingredients are fresh, and the service has always been great.   I will return. read more

Ordered 2 pizzas last night for carry out. We have ordered there several times before both in and out. Our 1 pizzas was fine the second one had barely any toppings on it and looked terrible. Guess yet another restaurant going down hill! I'll spend my money elsewhere. Great place. The workers are very friendly; they greeted as soon as we walked in the door, checked on us frequently, cleared our plates when we were done; friendly, caring people. The atmosphere is cool. It's got an old-school feel to it; lots of old wood, rich colors, old photos and paintings. The pizza itself tastes delicious. Excellent quality ingredients, baked just right. Very good portion size. It's a bit on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for in terms of quality. They don't have any kind of Coke fountain, which is a bummer; all drinks are bottled, and thus pretty expensive. Probably not that big a deal, but to someone like me who drinks a lot, it's kind of a bummer. While it's not going to be your cheapest lunch or night out, it's a very worthwhile spot to check out. They have a loyalty program where you get your tenth pie free. read more

As far as pizza goes I would give it a 7 out of 10, not bad but not the best. From a service perspective I give it a 4. Asked for pepperoni and half peppers, I was told they were out of peppers but they don't do any half toppings, period. Is it so hard to do half topping? I'm willing to pay for the whole topping but just want it on half. Company policy I was told. When the pizza came out I asked if they had any Oregano and the kid says "not out here only in the back" and walks off. I guess I'm not getting any, and never did. Almost all self serve but they still ask for tips but don't want to do anything to accommodate the customer in any way. Well my company policy is to take my money someplace else! Fusco's pizza and Trattoria are next door to each other so we walked into the pizza place. First impression is their authentic Mosaic pizza oven, rather impressive. Asked order-taker for a small custom adjustment to our order and it was granted (I offered to pay extra and they declined with a smile). The worst Caesar salad I have ever had (see pic). The dressing did not taste like Caesar, not creamy and the salad had purple cabbage and arugula in it. I did not see any Parmesan cheese and this left me questioning if they gave me the wrong salad but unfortunately it was The margarita pizza was okay because it was lacking flavor and parts of the pizza were just dough and sauce (light cheese). Cute little place in downtown historic Acworth:-) The pizza was excellent, it's that new-fangled Neapolitan Style. I don't know what that exactly is but the pizza oven in there is wicked cool! While I'm appreciative of the casualness I'm never a big fan of paper plates and plasticware, but it is pizza after all:-) They have a nice little beer selection they even have Peroni, one of my favorites.
