This is definitely a gourmet place to eat. The food was delicious! The service was fantastic! It is at a cozy location in West Tulsa.

Finally tried Ava June and loved it. Believe the owner of this place also owns Lofi and owned…read moreHodges Bend, which I love as well. This spot hits the same as those two if not better. Has the focaccia bread and butter that was killer and the trout that was great. Wife loved her steak. My waitress was cool and really helped explain the menu. The restaurant has a great look as well and love the classic floor tile. Mad I haven't already gone there and will be back.

Ava June... you were worth the wait (literally )…read more Took my Brunch Club girls (all 12 of us ‍) and I have thoughts you'll actually want if you're planning to go... First--this place is STUNNING. It's in the old Palace Café and they've done such a good job updating it while keeping that vintage charm. The dishes, the vibe, the whole aesthetic? Nailed it. Now let's talk logistics because this matters: Getting a reservation was... a journey. Couldn't reach anyone for months. Finally did, booked a few weeks out, called to confirm the day before--nothing. BUT it worked out because apparently they only really accommodate larger groups in their upstairs private room anyway... which is exactly where we ended up. And honestly? Perfect. We showed up a little early and everything was ready. Our waiter Elliot was there and super kind and attentive... just... slooooow. Like we were there for 2.5 hours slow. We were always waiting on something. Food & drinks: - Chouchou (most of us got it): delicious... but it's basically a giant ice cube with a little cocktail. Not mad, just... noting the value. - Funeral rolls (yes, THOSE funeral rolls): best I've ever had. No notes. - Pastry basket: get it. So good for the table. - Fries with garlic aioli + homemade ketchup: you have to ask, but DO IT. That garlic aioli?? I'd order a pint and drink it like soup. - "Freezer Door" martini: I knew what I signed up for ordering a martini... but this was STRAIGHT gin. Could not do it. Bonus moment: we used their side bar area to do build-your-own flower bouquets and it was the cutest little setup. Overall? Beautiful space Great food Fun group vibe Service is slow--plan for it Would I go back? Yes. Would I plan ahead and block off half my day? Also yes.

There's a variety of seating available, booths that can hold up to six people, several high top tables and regular two and four seat tables. As you walk in the front doors the bar is immediately the focal point at the back of the restaurant. Throughout the restaurant are lights hanging from the ceiling with oversized wicker-like shades. Lighting is thoughtfully done, not too bright, not too dark. Our server was very attentive and was eager to answer all our questions and we did have quite a few because the menu was rather unique. We had questions about some of the ingredients and portion sizes. Half of the menu is more Tappas style; great for sharing because the portions are generous. The other half of the menu is more entrée sized and our table of six ordered a variety of items from both sides of the menu. The beet salad (Remolacha) was fabulous, with good size chunks of beets mixed with peanuts and Pomegranate and crema plus a few other ingredients. My entree was the Frita Cubana a chorizo-spiced beef patty with egg, cheese, onion, shoestring fries, aioli, served on a yummy brioche bun. It was delicious. We shared the PROVOLETA, Melted provolone with chimichurri served in a cast iron pan with toasted sourdough for dipping. Awesome. CROQUETAS are 3 roughly golf ball sized fried lump crab cakes, with lemon aioli and chives, also awesome. There was a happy hour which our server neglected to mention until it was too late but our overall experience was excellent and we'll be back!

Service was spot on throughout the entire night. We started with the deviled eggs, half plain and half Chef's Choice. The Chef's Choice were the best, drizzled with chili crisp (or pickled Szechuan peppercorns) and topped with a tiny gherkin and fresh dill. The soup of the day was a cabbage and radish soup. It was interesting and very homey but I wish I had ordered the salad. I had the Novarro Farm sweet Potato Gnocchi (kale and pecan pesto, Birch Bottom Farm Georgia candy roaster, fresh chevre). I was a little hesitant about the kale pesto but should NOT have been. This dish was delicious--great garlic flavor. Would order again. The burger looked amazing and while The Hubs said it was good, he also said it needed some more spice. They had a couple of rotating beers from Heirloom--a Mexican Lager and an Italian Pilsner. I had the Water Lily cocktail, their take on an Aviation. Order it just because it's beautiful (and refreshing). The photo does not depict the deep color of it. I asked what other gin based cocktails they had on their menu. They didn't but the server/bartender offered to make me a Bee's Knees for the second round. It was delicious! The atmosphere here is casual but the food is elevated. I kept thinking this is what a French bistro would be like inside. I want to come back and shop the market. Oh, and the apple pie was excellent as well!
