I've been going to Soft Peaks on Kingsway since it first opened and it's been my to-go ice cream spot for years! Their soft serve melts in my mouth and pairs perfectly with the various delicious toppings. I got the seasonal Tiramisu chestnut this time and had chunks of real chestnut pieces in my cup! Food: 5/5 Price: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Parking: Free street parking around Would I return? YES Pro Tips: * Bring friends! One cup can serve up to two people!

Green tea This was super good and the matcha was flavourful and not overpowering. It wasn't bitter so I was glad about that. I liked that they have red beans on the side but I would have liked there to be more red bean. I think adding something chewy to the mix like little mochi bites would have elevated this even more! They currently have their rotational flavour as pistachio and I'm so sad I didn't ask for a sample before ordering! (Remember to ask for a sample if you're unsure!) I thought I wouldn't like it paired with the matcha but I tried my friends afterwards and I really enjoyed it. The pistachio was subtly nutty and sweeter so I think it would have paired well.

This monthly special is definitely an upgrade! Their matcha is strong and the mochi, rice crackers, mochi and tea jello goes so well with the entire dessert. It's so smooth and so well balanced. This one also didn't melt we quickly and I am wondering if it's because of the stronger green tea texture mix? I did notice the green tea is stronger than their usual.. so that's a win!!

We were walking in the area and walked inside Soft Peaks on a whim. It's a small intimate space with limited individual seating but has large stairs where you can sit and share the space with others. The concept is simple, the base is soft serve icecream and you choose the toppings and sauces. The service was friendly and quick. I just didn't like the flavour as much. I maybe wrong but I need my soft serve to be light and creamy. This was dense and felt heavy. I will not go back.

The matchamisu is to die for. Not too sweet and the matcha isn't too bitter. A nice balance of creaminess and matcha flavours. Service is great and the cafe is spacious and clean.

First time visiting and I love it and will be back! Their milky soft serve is so delicious, I love that it's not overly sweet so the toppings can really balance it all out. I tried the brown sugar boba and it was so perfect! Instagram worthy cute presentation, I'm a fan! My partner loved the one they tried too, I think I just found our new date spot :)

Their croffle coffee combo for $5 is such a good deal! I work nearby and get it every time I'm in the office. The American is so creamy and delicious. And for the price of 1 coffee elsewhere you get an original fresh baked croffle too! Surprising for an ice cream place. For soft serve I treat myself to the red bean soft serve. I think there's a points/reward system but can't recall. If they don't, they should as I would rack up points for sure.

I have been to Soft Peaks multiple times. This time B's parents came to visit and they wanted soft serve ice creams so we bought them here. They each ordered the honeycomb peak cone large and I got the blue mountain in a cup small. My blue mountain ice cream was delicious. The blueberry was freshly made at the store. You can tell that it is not the instant stuff. It is made with real blueberries and it was super delicious. B's parent loved the honeycomb peak. They said that the honeycomb was delicious and when you get to the bottom of the cone, it gets better. The other flavors that I have tried are green forest and mudslides. Both don't disappoint. This is an awesome treat for the summer time. It is on the pricy side but I don't get it often. I will definitely be back.

Soft peaks was a cute spot for ice cream. Prices were 6.75 ish for a small which can be a cone or cup which I found pricey. I ordered the seasonal cookies and cream and got it with the twist (chocolate and vanilla soft serve). It was alright. I will say I prefer the taste of Costco soft serve ice cream and it's a better price.

It's been a while since I've visited Soft Peaks but I couldn't let time go by without trying their Ube specials! The ube ice cream was sooo velvety smooth and had the perfect amount of ube flavour. I loved that it came with ube pudding at the bottom and sago as well. The ube pudding was a little sweet for my liking but Grayson liked them quite a bit. We will be back as the weather gets sunnier!

If you haven't been to Soft Peaks, you need to go! The ice cream is so delicious and just tastes so fresh. The different flavours on their menu are super interesting. It's a lovely location that's been set up to feel welcoming and enjoyable as well.

There's always room for dessert! Honeycomb Peak $7.25 Matcha Milkshake $6.80 Their ice cream is made with organic milk and it was super smooth and creamy, not too sweet. I loved the mixture with the honey drizzle and corn flakes, perfect combination together! The matcha milkshake was very very strong, it can definitely keep you awake. It was creamy and delicious mixed with the cream.

Had an appointment in the area and stopped by Soft Peaks during COVID to sample their soft serve ice cream after reading a few reviews. Like many establishments, they have greatly restricted their seating capacity...think there were only 2 tables with total seating for 5 persons. The COVID protective screens were up and I felt comfortable entering the establishment. Opted for the Blackcomb...how can one go wrong with expresso and ice cream. The presentation was quite nice (sorry sampled it before I could take a photo) and it was a very tasting ice cream sundae..nice and creamy. I thought it was pretty good value at $5.75 considering what I would normally pay at Earnest's for a scoop of the hard stuff. It was a positive ice cream experience and happy to recommend Soft Peaks if in the area and wanting soft serve ice cream.

Very smooth ice cream. I enjoyed it but thought it could have been bigger for the price. Overall I'd go back and try a different flavour.

Ube Latte with Cold Foam Rich, nutty sweetness of purple yam blended with creamy espresso, finished with a silky layer of cold foam. Cherry blossom matcha with cotton candy has so instagram-worthy presentation! Not only it looks pretty, but alsoit tasted great! Strawberry puree and matcha paired so well. Ube latte with cold foam was good, too. Their espresso stood out and ube flavor came through later. I really liked their espresso which was strong and bold. Ube foam was very tasty. I really liked this item. Service was extremely good and friendly. I will revisit this place and would like to try different item next time

Plenty of seats for small groups and big groups. High ceilings make the location feel spacious. And it was busy with a lot of people. I think if I'm going to hang out with people, coffee loft would be a great spot. However, I don't think the coffee and pastries are particularly good. But of course, I'm a bit biased since these are the things I look for in coffee shops: the coffee. It's not bad. It's just okay. So in short, I think if you're looking for a place to hang, Coffee Loft is great! If you're looking for coffee or pastries, there are other places. Still worth visiting though!

This cafe merits repeat visits as I have enjoyed every item I ordered here. We especially liked their savory items such as breakfast sandwiches and the roast beef melt! Unfortunately, the lobster melt is no longer available on the menu or that would be my favourite. Bastion is a popular place for coffee drinkers to work on their laptops here, because there are outlets available by the round table area that looks into the gym. Service is quite efficient and they even offer free coffee grounds for your gardens when available. Hours of operation are great here, as it opens early and continues till dinner time. Lots of free parking available, though the community centre parking lot can get busy. In short, Bastion is a great coffee shop - whether you are here to catch up with friends over coffee or to stop by for a protein drink after workout or to grab a light meal to go or to simply sit down and enjoy some pastry for your sugar cravings...Bastion Coffee Kitchen won't disappoint!

I ordered the roast beef melt sandwich which is their signature and popular item. Well deserved! It's flavorful and the beef is very soft. It only got crowded when people sat around waiting for their fitness class. The only drawback was the parking. It was almost full! I was lucky to find a spot round the corner. I sure didn't expect it to be so busy. Reminded me of the busy parking lot at Hillcrest CC in Vancouver. Maybe I was there when there were many fitness classes or activities then. Good place to have a bite or coffee after your workout or to meet friends.

We entered and joined the line, very earthy ambience with plenty of tables though very busy and full. Woodsy, and very clean. Sounds of all the patrons enjoying themselves with banter or working on their laptop whilst enjoying some beverage or food. I ordered the chocolate slice cake, wifey got a berry croissant and we got a tiramisu tart and tiramisu box to go. I ordered a house coffee just for something to drink with the cake and wifey also got a mocha. The cake was very good, not super sweet(for regular person) I'm diabetic so this was probably a bit much for me but I wanted to try. The butter cream in between each layer of chocolate sponge cake was smooth. The chocolate ganache was shiny and soft. I personally like more cake in general but this is a solid cake if you like butter cream and chocolate!. Wifeys croissant was full of cream on top and in the middle. Very soft and good for whipped cream lovers. The berries were large and sweet. Baked goods on terms from the ones we partook in were very good. Definitely understand why this is a popular place and always busy. Check it out!

The food and drinks were good but for the price point, I wouldn't come back for brunch. I feel like this cafe is definitely overhyped and pricey compared to other local spots.
