This place is in a little hard to find corner in Aberdeen Square. I haven't had rolled ice cream much so it was difficult to compare. The macaron and chocolate that came with it was quite hard so I wasn't too impressed with that. Also given everything with covid going on, I thought their employees would wear masks but they were not.

Ube! Nuff said Location is terrible, like other reviews have stated. But worth trying to find.

Oh my gosh! I can't believe we don't have anything this good in Washington! I highly highly recommend this place! The pudding rolled ice cream was AMAZING! This place was actually kind of hard to find took us 15 min to find the place but it was soooo worth it!

I saw this place when I was getting off the SkyTrain and decided to stop by since I've always wanted to try ice cream rolls. What impressed me the most was the care they put into making each ice cream combo! I tried the Matcha World and I Love Mango specials. For both, they started by making the ice cream rolls manually. Then, they carefully assembled the various toppings for each combo: the matcha one had red bean, rice cakes, whipped cream, a macaron, and pocky while the mango one had fresh mango and whipped cream. Both were delicious, though I actually preferred the mango one in this case! They cut a fresh mango for the topping and even had fresh mango chunks inside the ice cream itself; what's not to love? The service here was really friendly and professional! Watching them assemble the ice cream specials was an experience in itself. The only downside is that there's no sitting area in the place, so you'll have to take your ice cream to-go. Definitely stop by here if you want to try ice cream rolls and see how they're made as well!

I-ce Queen is located on the 2nd floor of Aberdeen Square a few shops away from Shiny Tea. I have seen Ice queen all over social media and i wanted to give it a try. There aren't any sit down tables but there are bar stools to sit against the wall. We came on a Sunday after dim sum so it was not busy. We ordered the Mango combo on the wall and it was about 8-9$ but then I liked their facebook page and received 10% off. To my surprise, I quite liked the ice cream. I like how it had a lot of flavour and it was really cold. The cut mango on top was very ripe and tasty. The only turn off is the price but it is a nice treat once in a while!

Came here to try fried ice cream for the first time. Don't be fooled, it's not actually deep fried ice cream. It's actually a cream mixture that is frozen in front of your eyes on an anti-griddle. We ordered the "Thai-wan" and the "cookie monster". They make the ice cream right in front of your eyes which is a cool novelty but I can see how this may slow down service if it was a busy night. Both ice creams were really good but I particularly liked the Thai-wan because it was a flavour I've never had in ice cream form. It was a Thai iced team ice cream base topped with tapioca pearls and coconut jelly, condensed milk and some cookies (basically a bubble tea in ice cream form). The texture of the ice cream was really nice but honestly I didn't find that there was as a huge different in taste/texture with the fried ice cream v. traditional ice cream. The only reason I docked a star was because of the location and the lack of seating. There are 4 bar stools on a very narrow bar ledge where you can sit but other than that there is no other seating. On a busier day you'd have to eat in the mall hallway or go out onto the street. Also, this place was a bit challenging to find. It's actually in Aberdeen but not in the main mall. It's in the newer, slightly vacant part of the mall on the second floor directly facing the Aberdeen CanadaLine station.

I have always wanted to try this place at aberdeen. I got a 5$ off coupon so I finally went. Their menu is pricy for dessert but the quality is better than I expected. I got the matcha rolled ice cream with whip cream, green tea macaron, pocky, red bean, and mochi. It had a strong matcha flavour and tastes pretty dense. The toppings were decent too. This shop is a bit small and is located next to the skytrain station inside aberdeen centre. There is a little seating bar area and you can watch them make your ice cream.

While visiting Canada, we were looking for crazy shakes or some sort of fun ice cream treats and found I.ce Queen. The pictures on Instagram looked good. I wish I had read more reviews though. The location and the parking are terrible. And honestly, not worth the hassle. They are located in a multi-level mall with a tighterthanthis parking garage with no signage so you don't know where to park in the parking garage. We got lucky and saw a guy walking with an I.ce Queen shirt and flagged him down to find out where to go. We ordered the Cookie Monster which was a standard item on the menu, and then did a create your own. I love Ube ice cream - theirs was not good. It wasn't sweet at all. I don't need it to be overly sweet, but some sweetness. It was really bland. Nearly tasted like nothing. And the Pokey sticks they put in were green tea so that added to the blandness. I ordered with an English-speaking gentleman who handed off my order to a non-English speaker to make my order, and he left. My order was missing things that I had asked for - one of which was sweetened condensed milk syrup which would have made the dessert a whole lot better. It looked great, but did not taste good at all. Bland. Dull. Not wet enough - the ice cream had that sort of dry, overchurned taste to it (even though they put it together there). I would not recommend this place. It's expensive. Hard to get to. And just not worth it for the end product.

Didn't think much of this place when I saw it open as I wasn't a big fan of a competitor that does similar ice freezes in Vancouver. Finally came here to try their puddilicious (pudding ice cream topped with pudding, ferro rocher and two coffee cigars). It was a fun experience watching them make our ice creams and it was just as delicious as it looks. Honestly it's very seldom that a dessert tastes better than its look but the puddilious definitely did. Totally worth it! I will come back to try the rest of the flavours along with the stinky durian drink.

Very unique ice cream freshly made to order. The green tea and cookie selections are quite nice. The green tea is topped with marshmallow and macaroon. The cookie is a bit too sweet but overall is pretty nice. The prices are fairly expensive but they do put a bit of work to prepare the ice cream.

He got a Blueberry Slushy drink and the wheel cake had red bean inside. Drinks are always solid at Peanuts and on the more affordable side too given what many other places will charge for bubble tea drinks these days. I honestly wasn't a huge fan of his wheel cake but that's no fault of the shop. Red bean is something I'm generally not crazy about to begin with. I have learned over the years that I can appreciate red bean as a bubble tea drink if it's all blended up. However, it's the chunks of bean that I don't like, and this wheel cake had chunks of bean in it. Might have gone over better with me if it had been filled with a smooth, red bean paste...no chunks of bean in it. That's just personal preference though. If you're someone who enjoys red bean paste and don't mind chunks, then you might enjoy this Taiwanese wheel cake.
