I happened to be in the neighborhood, and how could I resist the temptation of delicious ice cream at Rocky Point? This time, I had double chocolate raspberry in a peanut cone. The sweetness and richness of chocolate balanced beautifully with the tartness of raspberries. The cone was perfectly crispy. It was just as good as the maple walnut I tried on my last visit.

The service was good. I arrived here at 12 Pm to 1245 Pm. Parking was annoying as everything is paid parking. The location is bright, clean, and modern whereas staff was greet customers with smiles and did not give off annoyed vibes when asked for samples. I had their Ube Honey Comb and Lemon Yoghurt Cookie. The Ube was really strong in flavour and provided strong bites, definitely a favourable option now. The Lemon Yoghurt Cookie was very sweet and tangy but each bite felt too creamy/melty. Overall I would give location and staff a 5/5, whereas flavourwise I would do 4/5 just because the Lemon Yoghurt Cookie, while flavour is fine, consistency was missing the solid texture to bite on. Essentially my score would be 4.6 or a 4 out of 5 for Yelp

One of my favorite ice cream places. I remembered eagerly waiting for them to open when I was living in New West a few years ago. It was a favorite thing to do. Pop in for a nice cool treat after dinner at Mongo Bongo next door. Besides ice cream, the ice cream cakes are good too. My favorite flavor is the double chocolate raspberry. The Earl grey n honey, brown butter pecan, maple walnut, and rum raisin are equally nice. So many more flavors to try but I always return to these. My friends love the salted caramel and strawberry and coconut too. So glad New West has a store and people here don't need to go all the way into Port Moody for it.

Great ice cream, great service. Expect long lines! Came here late Sunday night and the line was short. The scoopers are very friendly and helpful and let you sample until you find your perfect flavor. For me, I ended up getting cookies n cream this time. The only downside for me is there is no sugar cone, only a giant waffle cone(too big for a single) or the regular cone that feels like a piece of styrofoam. You know the lineup can be long since the flavors aren't even posted inside, but rather on a board on the sidewalk. Great experience, I will definitely be back again!

I got the Maple Walnut and Earl Grey w/ Honey. Earl Grey w/ Honey is definitely my favorite flavor. Whenever I get a chance, I always get their ice cream. The ice cream was very tasty. Their cone was nice and crispy (freshly made). It is definitely a treat.

This ice cream shop came highly recommended to me by those I met in Port Moody & in New Westminster. Stopped by two separate times now & both times I was well taken care of. There's so many flavours and as I watch for soy in products, I really appreciated the allergy list of available choices. The staff even went above & beyond to double check the holiday flavours & brought out a printed sheet just to double check directly with me if there's anything else of concern. With that much effort, how could I not try gingerbread?! Gingerbread has lots of flavour but good amount of creaminess & what surprised me was the chunks of what I assume was ginger. Definitely has a zing! On my second visit, I tried earl grey & honey as something to enjoy later at night. I took it home in a pint as I thought I could enjoy it over a few days (ha!). That was a wonderful combo and a bit smoother as an ice cream vs if you had it as a tea flavour. I found it to be wonderful to pair with my vanilla waffle cookies. Also, really good in my hot coco. As for pricing, it seemed on par with what I'd expect at a specialty ice cream shop. I was intrigued by the range of ice cream cakes & will have to remember them if an occasion pops up while I'm in the city. For those mobility limited, you'll be happy to know that there's no steps in or out of the shop (I didn't spot a automatic door option though), some close by limited parking spots behind the ice cream shop or paid street parking right out front. The place is well lit with minimal seating inside (benches) and lots of windows for natural light. Definitely add this to your must try treat list if you haven't tried it already. It's probably good that I had to move city locations or I might of become a weekly regular (I'm a sucker for good ice cream!).

After a somewhat late dinner with a friend of ours, my daughter wanted ice cream for dessert. We like ice cream just as much as she does so we were more than happy to grant her wish! While I've got nothing against Dairy Queen and do enjoy it from time to time, we were in the mood for something that was not Dairy Queen. A quick search on Google told me that Rocky Point Ice cream in New Westminster was still open; so off to Rocky Point Ice Cream we went! Our friend ordered Dark Chocolate Raspberry, my daughter had Cookie Dough, and I had Plant Based Oreo Mint fudge. Yum, yum, and yum! I really loved my Plant Based Oreo Mint Fudge. Always so happy to try something plant based and find that it's just as good as the regular stuff! Rocky Point Ice Cream is unique too in that they also sell treats for dogs. I don't think I've seen that in any other ice cream store! Service: Good Parking: Paid parking on the street Location: Uptown New Westminster

Ice cream is a year-round treat. There is nothing quite like when you find a local store that serves hand-crafted ice cream. Rocky Point Ice Cream provides the best value with top quality. The size of the ice cream is super generous compared with many other places. The waffle cone was fresh and pretty crunchy. We'll be returning to try other flavour choices and possibly buying the pints of ice cream to take home with us next time. Rocky Point Ice Cream started in 1997. They have a few locations, and certain retail places also sell their products. Food: 5/5 Must Try! Service: ‍‍‍‍‍5/5 Kids: 5/5 Woohoo! Price: $6 for two scoops Presentation: 1/5 Parking: along neighbouring streets parking and also meter parkings are available in front of the store. Tips: * allow you to sample till you find your choice. * serve ice cream, plant-based sorbet, and cake. * have vegan options and some frozen dog treats. * always have a line-up outside the store, but it's worth it. * can pre-order ice cream cakes through their website. * can find kids and doggies clones for $3 each. Would I Return: Yes ‍

I didn't realize there was a location in New West. I had my all time favourite: salted caramel which was a nice way to complete my lunch from up the street. Ambiance: 5/5 a few tables inside and a seating area outside Ice Cream: 5/5 creamy and not too sweet. A great and different selection of ice cream - Rocky Point Road, Lemon Yogurt Cookie, Dirty Chai Latte, Earl Grey n Honey. Over 20 flavours. They also offer plant based flavours. They sell them by the scoop, by the pint, or by different size of ice cream cakes. There's even a ice cream cone for your fur baby. Value: 5/5 good quality ice cream at a reasonable price Parking: 3/5 on the street (can be a challenge) Service: 5/5 friendly TIP: ask for a sample if you're not sure what flavour to get I'll be back more often for tasty ice cream. You'll get addicted easily to this place!

Our group headed here on a whim to close out the night and I am so glad we did. I wasn't sure what plant-based options I would find, but I found two great flavors. The plant-based chocolate peanut butter was good. It had a rocky road vibe. But the winner of the night was definitely the plant-based chai! OMG delicious! It wasn't too spicy, but it definitely gave you those fall chai tea latte vibes.

Was craving ice cream after an early dinner, so we came across this place. We saw a line outside and I knew right away, it was going to be yummy. Everything looked amazing and they had a variety of cones! They all looked like the right choice. Perfect way to end the night and the last bit of summer with some ice cream! I enjoyed every bite and savored every bit of it! Ending your day with ice cream always says summer night and that's how tonight felt like! Thanks to you guys!! Thank you!

Stumbled across this place because we really wanted ice cream after Rib Fest. This place has some interesting flavors such as cereal milk, campfire smore. This place is doggie friendly! They have ice cream for dogs as well! We tried their Honey Earl Grey and Cookies and Cream. The first few bites into the honey early grey was great then the flavors dies down and I can't tell what I flavor I am eating anymore. The earl grey flavor could be a little bit stronger. The cookies and cream flavor is on point with perfect sweetness for my taste. Overall, good price and big portion! Good deal :)

    Neapolitan Ice Cream Cake 9'
    Huma A.

Ordered an ice cream birthday cake (9") from here. It was awesome! Looked great and was delicious. Family had asked for a Dairy Queen cake but I got one from Rocky Point instead. The Neapolitan had three flavours as you would expect. It was less sweet and more flavourful. Pricing was similar. Everyone loved it!

There's a classic milk soft serve and another flavor which they can twist together with the classic milk. They seem to feature new flavors every month or so. I think I had seen from their Instagram page that they had an Ube soft serve back in April. Right now we're in early June and the flavor that we got for our twist was a cookie butter soft serve. Not sure how much longer they will have the cookie butter flavor as I had thought that it was supposed to be just for the month of May. So...I guess they don't always change the flavor right at the beginning of each month. They do change the flavors every so often though. I ordered the Green Forest which is supposed to have matcha powder, sweet red beans and condensed milk. They had run out of red beans when I went so they let met choose a different topping to replace the red beans. That actually suited me better anyways as I'm not a big fan of red beans. I chose the Green Forest for the matcha flavor in it, not the red bean! I ended up choose toasted coconut as a replacemenet for the red beans. Yum yum yum! My daughter chose the Brown Sugar Pearls option which came with brown sugar drizzle, and soft, chewy tapioca pearls. Hubby opted for the Mudslide which came with Tim Tam crumbs and chocolate syrup. I think the one thing I'd like to see at this place would be more flavors of soft serve to choose from. Having only two flavors makes things simpler for them I suppose. Happy enough with what they offer since they do have lots of interesting toppings to choose from, but...more flavors of soft serve would be cool to see. Parking: Pay parking on the street but the meter is free from 8pm. Service: Fair
