I got the roasted strawberry and blueberry lemon curd ice cream. Although it was tasty the strawberry basically tasted like regular strawberry ice cream. I really enjoyed the blueberry lemon curd ice cream. The lemon curd almost made it feel like it was custardy or cheesecakey I also sampled the black current lemon lime sorbet. However, I couldn't taste any hint of black current. lt tasted mostly of citrus.

4 scoop sampler (Clockwise from 9 o'clock): London fog, black currant lemon lime sorbet, cracked mint, roasted strawberry

Outstanding flavors! The 4 scoop sampler was nice to try and share. Here are our flavor experiences. London Fog (5): Wonderful tea flavor! Light. Black currant lemon lime sorbet (3): Some liked it, some did not. The black currant and lemon is very tart and strong... which I like. Others felt it was too strong. Cracked Mint (5): Yes! I love mint so this was a no brainer for me. Pair that with dark chocolate shavings. Delicious! Roasted Strawberry (5): Another winner. Subtle roasted flavor, but we felt subtle was perfect with this. Natural strawberry flavor. Very good. Honey Lavender (5): another subtlety but done well. Nothing overpowering but lavender was present and had a nice essence to it. Overall, we loved this place!

Rain or Shine Ice Cream on 3382 Cambie Street We have a nickname for this expensive dessert restaurant: " Rain and Shine Ice Cream " as this is a fact that we are living in Raincouver that there's no stopping for their loyal customers to go out to enjoy this adorable dessert after lunch and dinner. Remark #1 Service is good, hardly have any complaints even having a long line up. Difficult to recommend which one is my favourite goody's. I could stay overnight to try all of their products! Remark #1. Few times with heavy snow and black "Shine" ice on the road

Malted Milk Chocolate Honeycomb and Winter Hike - creamy, tasty, would highly recommend! IG - @bilalandjesseatfood

We checked out Rain or Shine after dinner one night and absolutely loved it! The ice cream was creamy, flavorful, and full of mix ins. So many to choose from as well! Service was friendly and prompt. It was a lively environment as well - fun place to enjoy an after dinner treat. Also, we went on a rainy night, so I can confirm that that are open Rain or Shine! Highly recommend!

Coffee toffee

Rain or Shine Ice Cream in Vancouver is honestly the vibe. You get two samples each before ordering and the staff was super patient while I took forever deciding. Tried a bunch of flavors over a few visits and tbh the coffee toffee is the move. Service: 10/10 (free samples) Seating: 8/10 (can get crowded) Food: 9/10 (coffee toffee ice cream) Drinks: 10/10 (free water)

1 scoop of the seasonal flavor PB&J and 1 scoop malted milk chocolate

Stop reading and go get some of this ice cream asap! I give Rain or Shine 10/10 tasty spoonfuls Ok if you still want to read a review, mom got the Key Lime Pie and loved it. I tried a bite and good lord, tastes exactly like key lime pie. I got a single scoop of the PB&J and the malted milk chocolate. The PB&J is without the doubt the best ice cream I've ever eaten. Of course I'm a HUGE peanut butter lover so having PB as the base for the ice cream was heaven. The malted milk chocolate was also SOO GOOD but it was definitely sweeter compared to the PB&J so keep that in mind because it could give you a sweetness overload stomach ache. Definitely need to try this place out of you haven't. I promise you'll be glad you did. And then you'll want to come back again.

Two scoops of London fog and coffee toffee on top

I see why there's such a long line one hour before closing! We found this spot randomly and saw it was close by so decided to try it. They have seasonal summer flavors and allow you to try two samples. I ordered the London fog and coffee toffee and both were so good!! Perfectly blended coffee with small chucks of toffee. The London fog was creamy and had that early gray flavor mixed well with vanilla.

Always had a good experience at this place! The service is always fast, they always allow for taste testing, never fail to amaze you with new flavours and no matter how long the line is, you are never waiting for longer than 15mins. This time I got tried their blackberry goat cheese flavour and their passion fruit ale flavour. Both are seasonal and both are amazing! I initially wanted to try both these flavours just because they sounded fun, didn't think I would end up getting it!! But they were both so delicious!! The goat cheese added extra creaminess to the ice cream and complimented the blackberry so well. Even the passion fruit ale was refreshing and did taste like ale in an ice cream!!! Would highly recommend both those flavours for this summer.

Egg hunt

Egg hunt 10/10- Cadbury eggs mixed in milk chocolate icecream, this was absolutely delicious and a limited edition seasonal flavor. There were lots of Cadbury eggs mixed into the icecream. The milk chocolate icecream base sweetness wasn't too intense which was nice. The waffle cone itself was pretty mid (wasn't fresh or hot, however we did get this late) but the icecream itself was phenomenal Chocolate malted honeycomb 9.47/10- this icecream was really good, not a huge fan of malted chocolate favor but they did this really well. The honeycomb pieces were covered in dark chocolate and huge, it added a lot of flavor. I felt like the pieces of honeycomb were a bit too big because sometimes you'd try having it with the icecream but it was too much. Also felt like this icecream was a bit too sweet. Still superb but I definitely liked the egg hunt one more This icecream place has a lot of really cool flavors and all are pretty tasty. Highly recommend! They have flights for a good price in which you can try 4 different flavors.

Bomber Passionfruit Ale & Lemon Blueberry

Good ice cream. They have really interesting monthly flavours and the regular flavours are also iconic. They have a vegan chocolate peanut on regularly, and 1 or 2 of the monthly specials are usually vegan. Compared to competitors, their ice cream isn't as creamy, particularly the vegan flavours, but it's still pretty good ice cream. Even though I prefer the texture of other ice cream like Earnest or Elephant Garden, I sometimes like Rain or Shine's flavour options better, and so I go to all of them regularly. The thing that I think Rain or Shine does better than anyone is actually the waffle cone, which is thick, almost like a cookie, and always fresh. It's a very substantial cone so my favourite way to enjoy the cone is actually in taco form on Taco Tuesday, where you can get a "taco" sundae with 2 scoops and a topping on a waffle cone taco shell which seems a little smaller than the waffle used for the regular cone. Another notable advantage of going to Rain or Shine over Earnest is that the lineup is never as long! I have all but abandoned eating dairy ice cream since there's very little reason to in my mind when there are so many good vegan options, so I was extra excited to see they have a vegan version of their matcha on this month, and not just plain but with strawberry for extra fun! The matcha is the real deal!

Excellent ice cream. I had the single scoop Blueberry balsamic in a waffle cone for $6.50 which is fair price . Service came with. Smile and was prompt . A very popular place with lineups is usually out the door . They take all cards . Meter parking on the street

By far the best ice cream place in Vancouver. The flavours are more unique than another popular joint, Earnest. The service is always friendly and fast. You get to sample a few too. The original flavours are better than their seasonal, I feel like they're different but not inspiring enough for me to get a full scoop over the others. Hard to find seating inside but it doesnt really matter since it's most likely nice out if you're getting ice cream.

Malted Milk Chocolate Honeycomb and Poached Pear Chai
Louise F.

This place is to Vancouver what Molly Moons is to Seattle and Salt & Straw is to Portland. Unique, amazing, and creative. we tried the bacon and eggs, malted milk chocolate honeycomb, oatmeal brown sugar, and poached pear chai. They were all really good but we got the honeycomb and pear ones. The flavor of the pear one was a bit overpowered by the other but both had layered flavor profiles and bits and pieces of their flavors in them

Well it seems ownership has changed and the new owner doesn't give two craps about prior customers, honoring discounts, replying back timely or being more friendly? Was playing email tag and finally submitted the 39 flavors and didn't hear back until after another week and then told they won't deliver only in morning when they know our reservation was for 730pm and they're open until 9? I even replied back and nothing. We own and run several business in lower mainland and in United States and this customer service from Unni Pastries is trash. At least you can do is reply back and apologize? For wasting time when I specifically told you it's for family and friends flying into town for a funeral burial. Will never use their business again. I highly suggest Mello. They replied and helped me out last minute. Shame on you! Learn how to run a business and treat customers esp previous customers who were supporting the business and fellow Krn but it's clear the new owner doesn't care about the customer or quality it's all about quantity. Maybe my 39 donuts which I offered to pay extra for time and packaging wasn't large enough but money is money. Especially during this time and economy. You should've at least replied back and even tried asking us to do pickup as the restaurant is down the road. Do better! Go to Mello which isn't too far and they bake fresh daily better pricing and reviews and consistency!

And also the more modern cold desserts such as mango, ube sago and even grass jellies. We opt to order their ube trio and it was heavenly. It had an authentic and strong ube taste. The sagos were cooked just right with the perfect texture and most importantly, it wasn't too sweet. We also ordered their instagram worthy mahjong tiles which is essentially red bean and coconut pudding. It's very cute and definitely instagram worthy. It's not too sweet and I liked that it came with a side of red bean sauce which made it less dry. The money is also made of edible paper but we didn't touch it cuz it felt weird eating it. However, it wasn't anything special and we wouldn't order it again. It was quite busy when we arrived on a Friday night but it's much easier to go in a smaller party. We were a party of 2 and walked right in even though others were waiting because they needed a bigger table. The place is clean and service was fast. They don't have a time limit even though they are busy so it's a great hang out spot. We would definitely be back to try out other items they have to offer.

I'm from the Bay Area and we have our fair share of Japanese grocery stores (shout out to Niiya in Japantown in San Francisco) but I was very excited to see the selection here. Definitely came across items I've never seen before like a Takoyaki flavored Ramune. It was extremely discounted just fyi probably for good reason. They even had Japanese canned drinks stored hot like in Japan! The take away Japanese desserts also looked good. This place is right on Robson street so a great place to grab a snack, drink, pick me up while shopping. Prices seemed reasonable. One caveat is that it can get busy in here and the aisles are small so it felt a little crowded but that's sort of like Japan as well lol so not a big deal for me. Added to the ambience.
