All I can is this place is WOW. First time me and my wife went to this place to have lunch. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by very humble person who is the owner of this place. He made sure to walk us through and explain about the dishes. I tried everything and honestly it was yum. I was at my dentist's office(Ultimate Dental Care next door)getting my teeth cleaned. I asked one of the dental technicians/office manager about this place and she said it's really good, so after the cleaning, I walked over to the next door to get something to go. It was about 1227pm and there were nobody there yet. This gentleman(I assume he's the owner)who was so very friendly and welcoming, proceeded to explain what he has to offer. It's a buffet and there are so many items such as variety of salad, hummus(it was delicious!), dessert, cooked potatoes, chicken stew, lamb stew, Turkish rice(yum) and soups(I had lentil and it was out of this world. It had a kick to it!). The buffet comes with shish kabobs(beef, chicken or lamb, I've been told that it's very juicy and delicious)but I told him that I'm a vegetarian and he asked me if I like Falafels and I said, Yes He gave me 5 falafels, 2 pita bread, potatoes and rice. I had salad and slaws(really good they have 3 diff slaws). I tried this Mexican salsa like dressing and it tasted mint and spicy! It was good. I was so pleasantly surprised how delicious the food was. It was so much food, I had some left over for later. I also had sweet Turkish coffee to go. I love Turkish coffee! Based on how much I enjoyed the food and how nice and hospitable the owner was, I will definitely go back. I can't wait, so I can sit down and eat next time. The waiter delivered fresh pita bread and our choice of one ground beef or chicken kebab per person (both excellent, but we wish they offered unlimited kebabs too). There's not a wide variety of dishes, however, and most of the popular items (couscous, greek meatballs, baba ganoush) were pretty spicy. You Texans are spoiled!!! Ha! If I could find a buffet this cheap back home with such good QUALITY, it would be game over. I still can't believe this buffet is only $12.99???!!! I felt so bad because the owner comes out and greets everyone to explain the buffet line.. then he goes in the back to make your kebab's (every buffet meal comes with a beef or chicken kebab). I thought for sure he had help, but no.. he was by himself! Talk about someone who shows great pride and love for his business! I can only count on one hand how many times an owner of a restaurant came to shake my hand and introduce himself. Then he remembered my name (unfortunately, I forgot his already.. yikes!) and thanked me when I left. Amazing. The food was delicious. Exactly what I was craving for. Have you been to those restaurants that charge you extra for warm pita bread and hummus? And then they give you a measly scoop? Well you can have hummus, baba ganoush, and that glorious yogurt sauce without that extra charge! And don't forget to try the home sauce. I will be craving that sauce every time I eat a kebab now. I was greeted by the owner, he was so friendly and walked me through the buffet so I would know what was available. Everything I had was good, but the highlight was the warm pita brought to my table (I can't stop thinking about it). So pleased to find this new restaurant. It's located in the strip mall behind the new Lebanese bakery (also excellent) on Parker and Alma. We went for Sunday lunch and had the buffet. Very good selection of fresh dips and salads - hummus, baba ganoush, stuffed grape leaves, etc. Then a selection of stews - chicken, lamb, also chicken wings. Freshly made ground beef kebabs were brought out to us. The food was fantastic. Everything was tasty, fresh and well-made. The owner apologized that he did not have any doner kebab that day, but we were all so full and now we have a good reason to go back again soon. Our ten-year old lunch companions said they gave the place 5 out of 5 stars! Finished off the meal with a cup of delicious Turkish coffee. The restaurant was criminally empty when we got there around 6:30pm on Saturday, but this place has some of the best food, period. Don't let the hole-in-the-wall, tiny-buffet, quaint wallpaper scare you. You will not leave this place disappointed. Some of the food is a little salty, but the hummus and perfect rice-orzo combo will take care of that. ALWAYS order the a la carte kebabs, chicken or beef. This little hole in the wall surprised me. I came by for a late lunch around 1pm on a weekday and the place was EMPTY save two gentlemen deep in conversation in the corner. The owner came out with the brightest, most genuine smile I've seen in ages. He introduced himself, walked me through the buffet selections, and took my order for my kabob of choice which came with my meal. I admit, initially, I was not impressed with the limited number of selections on the buffet, but my disappointment faded quickly after the first bite. DELICIOUS. Each dish proved to be extremely flavorful and I soon realized I didn't need any more than what was being offered. Nothing appeared to be lacking. The chicken stew and lamb stew each paired perfectly with some of the best hummus and pita I've had in YEARS. The price, on the surface, might have seemed a bit steep considering I only made one trip to the buffet but I can honestly say I left completely satisfied and feeling like I had just enjoyed a meal made by a man who truly loves this cuisine. I don't mind paying good money for a belly full of good food. My only regret is I didn't leave enough room to try the soups being offered.
