The customer service good and they are nice people. Ordered some cheese sticks, zucchini sticks, Falafel Plate, Beef Shawarma Sandwich. Didn't have any issues before and the food is great. Until this time we ordered cheese sticks, but we got breadsticks instead, and they didn't tell us that they were out of cheese sticks until we went back and asked about it and showed them what they gave us. Their response was "that was all they had" and something about the power going out. The beef Shawarma was also wrapped in a tortilla instead of pita bread. Not sure if we were still charged for the cheese stick price instead of breadstick price. If they were out of pita bread for the shawarma, they should've let us know before we ordered it or charged us less for the alternative. read more

We were really excited to try this place since we just moved to the area. They advertise that they are open until 9, but when we got there at 8:15 we were told that the turned the ovens off and we weren't able to order a burger? The woman in the kitchen was rather rude about it. I ordered a gyro sandwich which wasn't bad, but came with exactly one small slice of tomato and a ton of lettuce even though the menu doesn't mention lettuce at all. Very tasty gyro sandwich. They are full and have a lot of meat. I am taking some of my sandwich home to eat later. She said they would do rice instead of fries. Sounds like they are just starting that so if your like me and trying eat a little healthier it's a great option. I tried my wife's salad (Tabouleh) and it was really good too. If I lived in Ramona, I'd become a regular at Sofie's . It's that good, I've tried a few of their other dishes with Gyro when i'm in town & they've all been great! Today, I had the opportunity of trying their chicken Shawarma Plate, and I can say it left me 100% satisfied and let me tell you, it was so full of flavor ! The chicken was so full of flavor and you could tell it was fresh as was the rice, I loved the side of hummus & salad it came with as well. & I couldn't forget my pistachio Baklava to end my meal on a sweet note. Ramona's newest restaurant is a wonderful Greek/Meditteranean type affair that's worth checking out! It's an order at the counter and find a seat type of place. Despite that, the service was really nice. For my inaugural visit I kept things simple with a Gyros Sandwich & fries. It was artfully presented on a wooden plank but that proved unnecessary. Too much was put on a small plank that it made everything awkward to eat. I'd also recommend ordering tzatziki on the side. My sandwich had such a huge, uneven blob of it on one end. The fries were surprisingly good! Perfectly hot and crispy. Baklava was excellent! I'm definitely looking forward to visiting again soon. Maybe I'll try one of their combination plates with beef and chicken shawarma. read more

Solid Mediterranean food spot to me! Gyro + Falafel Combination Rice Plate - $17.50 RATING: 9.5/10 I LOVED their gyro pieces; they were so juicy and flavorful. Their falafel was different from the usual falafel I see and eat, it's more yellow and had a fantastic crunch on the outside. Their rice is also seasoned, cooked well so it has a nice bite -- wasn't too hard or too soft. I wish there was a little more vegetables. Overall, the plate was a good portion. Looking for dinner and found this gem.I've had my share of Mediterranean food but I can't say I'm an expert but I do have high demand for good Mediterranean, so when reading the previous reviews. I found that people complained about the rice being dry andundercooked? But having tried it myself I find that is not the case! The rice was not dry or undercooked quite the opposite in fact! It was nice and fluffy! Everything here is well portioned and delicious! Both chicken and beef shawarma was delicious I really enjoyed the salad too! I never write reviews but this was such a waste of my money I felt I needed too. it was a total of $60 for a medium pizza and 3 chicken sandwiches (two chicken parms and a BBQ chicken sandwich). The pizza was mediocre at best. the real issue is the Chicken Parm sandwich. it's basically an over sauced soggy sub roll that literally had the amount of one chicken finger cut up in it. read more

Always a great place to grab lunch or takeout for dinner. They are super efficient and the food is delicious. I often just get a gyro but it always hits the spot. One time they forgot our baklava in the bag so when I went back, she gave me an additional one on the house as well as not charging me for the original! I hope they continue to stay in business. Disappointed in the customer service. I placed an order online, order the Tabbouleh salad and other items. Got home and noticed they gave me a different salad drenched in dressing that I was not going to eat. I called, the guy told me they don't make the Tabbouleh salad anymore so gave me something else. I recommend they notify their customers before replacing for something completely different and or let them know when we picked it up. He said they had no way of letting me know. I asked for a refund for the salad, he said only if I bring the salad back could he give me a refund. Other food was good read more

We found the food overall to be "just ok". We got a samosa, a rice meat dumpling, a falafel sandwich, and a chicken shawarma sandwich. Appetizers were good, especially the samosa. The falafel and chicken shawarma both tasted dry even though they had plenty of sauce. Not sure what was going on there. It was a nice change coming down from Julian but I wouldn't recommend it, unfortunately. Both sandwiches seemed to be in tortillas, not pitas as is standard. We were told we would get a little rice as a compliment and were given fries. That could have been a bad on my part but my partner heard the same thing. Fries were actually pretty good .
