Aloha folks! This was my first time at Larry's Santorini. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Ozzy (Larry's son), who was kind and friendly. He helped me choose a plate. I decided on the Gyros Sandwich and fries. I asked if I could get my fries without salt and he gladly said that he'd be happy to do it That made me happy. He gave me my drink cup and directed me to the self serve drink machine and told me to grab a table and he would bring the food out. The food arrived shortly after he took my order. The fries were hot and crispy (no salt as requested) and the Gyros Sandwich was excellent. Tender, juicy and delicious. Ozzy came back to check on me and I was appreciative of that. This restaurant supports the local community which is nice to see. I highly recommend Larry's Santorini for fresh and delicious Greek food. The best Greek food around! Customer service always goes above and beyond. The food is always delicious and made fresh & Hot. I really love the Greek goddess statue in the front of the store. This place never disappoints when you're craving simple, delicious, fresh Greek food. I usually opt for one of the salads. Greek salad base with their scratch Greek dressing topped with gyro, chicken, or both served with sliced pita. No frills, just good food. We went to Larry's Santorini for an early dinner, and this little hole-in-the-wall spot truly impressed us with its amazing Greek food. I had the chicken salad, and my dining companion had the barbecued ribs--both dishes arrived promptly and were absolutely delicious. The owner and staff were incredibly welcoming, adding to the great experience. This was the most amazing Greek food I've had. I got the spanakopita plate and it was what dreams are made of. Every bite was excellent. The rice was fabulous. Their fries were perfect. Crispy and I don't know what seasoning was on the but each bite I was lost for words. The food was so good we brought more people with us for dinner that same day. Can't wait to go back. Been going to Larry's Santorini for 15+ plus years! Best Greek food in Poway ... the owner Mr Larry is very sweet always greet you with a smile. Their customer service is the best. Restaurant is small, but it feels Ike you are eating at someone home! Must try is their chicken salad and their grill salmon plate! When on Poway this is a must try!!! read more

Tried this spot for the first time because my boyfriend's family always goes here - the gyro meat was some of the best I have had. Perfectly flavorful, not too thin, and overall delicious. I do wish they served hummus with their meals. But the tzatziki is also really great. As a local small business with great service & great food, it deserves the community support!!! read more

Came here for lunch on a Saturday. Busy little strip mall on a popular corner, but parking was easy. We ordered gyros salad and gyros burger special. The gyros was good, but I prefer more seasoning. The tzatziki sauce was bland. The salad was fresh and there was plenty, along with the accompanying bread. It could have used another slice or two of gyros and maybe more than one olive. The burger was great. Loved the bun and seasoning on the fries. The service was very good. I love that there was a steady stream of customers, both eating in and picking up. This place is a random Greek restaurant tucked away in Poway. If you have a chance to stop here, I would! We were coming back from the archery range and were absolutely starving, so we decided to look around for nearby restaurants. A cute, highly rated Greek restaurant popped up, so we decided to give it a shot, and we were not disappointed! The vibe is comfort food with alabaster statues. The man behind the counter who definitely seemed like the owner was super nice and very friendly. He even gave us a free drink because we bought a lot of food! The sheer amount of rice and Greek salad was impressive, with perfectly cooked gyro sitting atop the pile. The Tzatziki was a perfect addition to the meal! There was a soda fountain for drinks. Got the gyros value meal for $14.50. Worth nearly every penny and I was pleasantly surprised. Gyros was very fresh and juicy, and there was a LOT in the pita sandwich. If you want to come to a failing business, then come here. I ordered a euro burger and my friend ordered a shrimp platter with double fries. My friends shrimp plate with six fried shrimp that tasted fishy and a bunch of underseasoned fries for $20. My burger was $12 with a one dollar tip no drink and no fries average at best. The shrimp smelled spoiled and tasted bad when we called back to complain he told us both not to come back. read more

A good hole in the wall greek place. This is the place on my work route thatI can walk in and walk out less than 5 minutes later with a fresh hot gyro. The portion sizes are large and filling and they use good quality ingredients which shows in the taste. I'm assuming the guy who is always there running the register is the owner, and he's always been friendly and accomidating. Excellent food and very nice people. I got the Greek salad with chicken. Look how beautiful and the quality of the food is excellent. The salad is made with romaine that was green with no wilting and crisp. The tomatoes were red like a tomato should be with a nice flavor. The chicken was really good with a nice seasoning. The pita is soft yet grilled giving it a little crunch too. I asked how long they have been in Poway....26 years. It has taken me 20 years to come here and I found a new favorite food establishment. The food is well worth the price. If you haven't been here try them. I'm so glad I did. Super fast too. What a pleasant surprise! read more

Tasty, filling Greek plates at their best! Located in a nice little strip mall off Scripps Poway Parkway, and conveniently by my eye doctor's office, lol, sits Santorini Island Grill. We typically get their gyro plates which are pretty substantial in size. Tender, flavorful meat spiced up just right and served up with soft pita bread and salad or fries. My eyes tend to be bigger than my stomach, so I usually get a Kids Gyros or Chicken Kabob meal and it fills me up easily. Feta fries are my weakness as well as their Dolmas so I always pick those up as well. I was surprised at how good their lemon chicken is considering how easily chicken could go from nice and juicy and cooked to perfection, to rubbery and gross. They definitely know how to cook a bird right! Parking is fairly ample, despite the lot of different stores and eateries in the shopping area. Service is friendly and quick. 4 stars! read more

Larry never disappoints and neither does his food! He is always so welcoming and his employees are very nice and quick. Food is always hot and delicious. I know it might be odd but their cheeseburger is fire, the only mini complaint is the bun is massive. The fries are delicious and come with the best seasoning. The gyro sandwich is also delicious and the tzatziki sauce is very good. There are plenty of seats and parking. The baklava is also really good! I highly recommend stopping by! read more
