We've been pretty happy with our Door Dash meals from 8090 Tea House. We like to get a bunch of small dishes to share and usually get the beef wrapped enoki mushrooms as a starter. I love enoki mushrooms and I usually only get to eat them in ramen soups, so it's fun to have another way to enjoy them! We've also have tried the edamame and chicken wings. But the star of our meals has been the ramen. Our tip for anyone ordering soup / broth from any restaurant is to heat it up again once it's delivered, and serve in your own dishes. You will have a few extra dishes to wash but there's nothing like piping hot soup. It's almost like going to a restaurant. This place surprised me. So did the HUGE size of their large iced tea. Lots of variety. I got a small Korean spicy fried chicken, and I gotta say, it was the first time I've ever had it and now I'm on the hunt for some more. Absolutely delicious. I also ordered a lychee black iced tea and it was in a huge beer stien and so fresh. Took a while to get but you could see why when you tasted how fresh it was. My only complaint is that they didnt have the A/C on and it was definitely hot and sticky in late June. But besides that this place is great. I cant wait to go back and try more iced teas read more

8090 Tea house is great place for food and bubble teas,I've personally gone a couple of times now.They have a wide variety of dishes which are very tasty Japanese Korean dishes. I specially love their chicken tappanyaki bento box as well as their Unagi Eel bento box. They have very friendly and nice people that work there. I went to the London, Ontario shop (it didn't have a yelp page so I'm writing my review here). It was actually quite good! I loved their bubble tea, they have a huge selection. I ordered my favourite which is the black milk tea with the tapioca. I ordered food twice from here, once the Taiwanese fried chicken with rice and once the chill chicken with rice. Both times food was very good! It's unique, not similar to other place, which makes this join stand out. We stopped here visiting from Seattle for a local convention. We got the MaPo Tofu Don and a house special ramen bowl (we don't remember the exact one now.) we also had lavender earl grey milk tea and mango milk tea. The service was fine, our server didn't mind that we took awhile to figure out. Our food was good and we also got the popcorn chicken which was great! After our food was finished we chilled a bit which didn't seem to be a big deal, so a great place for just hanging out. We weren't sure if we were supposed to go up or if the check was brought out but we ended up going up. For the two large entree portions, our appetizer, and our large drinks that came in beer mugs (that was a treat) we only paid $40 CAD. We were hoping to go again before we left but they open later in the day, which we learned is the norm for a lot of shops in the area. (A big plus for night owls!!!!) Def recommend. read more

I had a Lychee Chiller, it came quickly as did the rest of our drinks. The service was fast, but the servers weren't very friendly, kind of preoccupied with other things that weren't really part of their job. We went on a weekday so business was slow, but I guess the servers were just really bored! The decor was nice, but they had this weird curtain section that was cool, but I really didn't understand it. It kind of split the front of the restaurant from the back. read more

Great food, great service. This is my most frequently visited restaurant in Hamilton, and it is my favourite place to get bubble tea. The drinks are on the more expensive side, but it's expensive for a good reason: they put real fruit into your drinks. Yummy! If you ever get a chance to visit 8090, try the hot drinks! It's delicious. 8090 also makes good food and small snacks. read more

I came here on Friday afternoon (around 1ish) my plan was to order hot chocolate and do a bit of studying, very new custumer. The waitress was indcredibly rude, i was going to inform her but i didnt think she would appreciate the truth so i gracefully took my things and left to my regular place. I hope she and her boss improves on custumer service skills. A better way would have been, to say "when you are ready to order let me know" instead of giving a story about her boss and the camera and the other custumers etc which i could careless for that as custumer because none of it has anything to do with me. She was way too rude, i lost my appitate. I know not to come on her shifts. I am usually not the type to make rewiews less i feel its necessary. She needs to improve her communication skills and learn her custumers, not all of of us are the same. I just wanted to sit down order somethings and do a bit of studying because i love atmposhere of the place. read more

Wow do I have to talk about my experience. First I have to mention that I'm a regular, and I usually just order bubble tea. I speak both Mandarin and English and it's quite apparent that the staff have next to no English ability and so it's usually difficult to order in English. One day I added "no ice". To my order. I find out afterwards at cash that they charged me 75 cents for not wanting ice. I was unaware of this, but only a little bit annoyed. The waitresses never serve us water, but maybe that's a ploy for us to order bubble tea. So today, we ordered a hotpot, mild. Maybe the waitress heard medium, I'm not sure because she didn't even know what types of foods some of the menu items were. The hotpot came back too spicy for us after 20 minutes of waiting. Ok. No problem, tell the waitress. She isn't sure what to do and tells us to hold on and leaves, presumably to get management. We wait some more with no responsive. I hail another waitress and tell her that we could just move the stuff into a lighter broth, no need to remake the entire order. She says she'll get management. Great. At this point the soup has bubbled over and we're watching our dish spill over the table. We wait some more. Waitresses just walk past our table casually. It's been 20 minutes. I'm craning my neck towards the staff but they avoid eye contact. It's been 40 minutes in this restaurant and we can't eat anything. Clearly, they've decided to just wait it out until we either starve or are hungry enough to shovel anything into our mouths. My boyfriend looks like he's about to faint. It's 9:30 pm. We decide to get up and leave. We go to restaurant right beside theirs. Two men have us out the door and tell us that we didn't pay for our food. I told them we didn't touch the food and that it was explained to various waitresses that we couldn't eat the food while nothing was done. They leave. We start eating dinner at the other place when the manager (and presumably his wife?) stroll into the restaurant and decides to join us for dinner. He says that he believes his waitress confirmed our order for "medium" and not "mild". I told him that's not why I left. I made suggestions on how to not waste food but the service chose to ignore us for 20 minutes. His wife then starts yelling at us in the middle of restaurant using choice phrases like "you know you did BAD thing. NEVER EVER come back to our restaurant again." Obviously, the restaurant we were eating at went silent. The couple leaves. Wait it gets better. They send A SPY. The waitress sat across from us and didn't order anything for the entirety of our dinner. When she finally left, she passed my table, turned around and spat "shame on you!" At this point it's pretty obvious that I'll never go anywhere near the place, and it's pretty ridiculous that the owners would make a public scene and ruin our dinner over 15 dollars. read more

Bubble tea is okay, too sweet though. Do not eat those dirty hotspot stuff, cheap and disgusting. I believe they will eventually go bankruptcy due to new high quality bubble tea shop being opened nearby. read more

Love the popcorn chicken and bubble tea here... but after going through audits of restaurants I enjoy going to. I won't be coming back here anymore. They have multiple infractions throughout the years even with new ownership it seems. Not all restaurants are perfect I understand that, but to risk infractions with each audit shows you this establishment is keen on $$$ only. You just lost a customer and possibly many more until you guys fix your issues. Everyone should educate themselves on the restaurants they regularly visit by going to the site I've posted. You will see who is keen on trying their best. For now, 8090 Tea House is just a dime a dozen of bubble tea joint in Hamilton. read more
