It took about a year; but I stumbled across this nice little place on the Hamilton mountain. Their prices for the amount of food you get caught my eye. I figured; what do we have to lose? Ordered the dinner for 4B; brought it home nervous thinking my husband was going to go off on another Kanye rant. To make a long story short - it was a hit! Everyone loved it! The Cantonese chow mein was cooked perfectly, the fried rice was the best I've had (and I'm not a fan of fried rice) I went back a second time and the food was consistent - we have found our new go to Chinese restaurant!

Seating for about 8 -10 people. This particular day I ordered the Wonton Noodle Soup. A massive bowl of fresh hand made noodle and fresh wontons in a delectable broth. This broth was not hot chili wise as some other soups they offer with naked thus place unique. Each bowl is crafted with a different taste and being a small place the chef is visible to see! The attention to detail in every bowl is amazing as he takes time to perfect each to be a perfect presentation. Very hawker/street style! No need to go to Toronto it's all right here. The hours are limited during the week and more flexible on weekend as the there is only one guy (the chef) and a counter person. highly impressed highly recommend

The one disappointment was the steamed pork dumpling. The last time I ate there, there was a lot of gristle and parts of the dumpling were inedible. Previously, it was fine. I've had dinner there as well, but the flavours and 'wok hei' are fair and not quite up to expectations. The restaurant could use a fresh look and new carpet. Service is fair. It's always a good sign when you can find Cantonese-speaking customers in the restaurant - and we did. The restaurant appeared clean, although was dated. There were basic dim sum choices on the menu, but quite a number of items were crossed out and marked as not available. We tried the Shanghai Style Fried Noodle, Preserved Egg and Pork Congee, Steamed Sui Mai Dumpling, and Steamed Chive Shrimp Dumpling. We ordered the Pan Fried Dumpling with Minced Pork - it never arrived. Just as well because we had enough for two people and were already full. Of all, the congee was the most flavourful. The other items were standard. The noodles didn't have as much flavour and 'wok hei' as we would have liked, but still ok. I did ask if they made the dim sum in house, and the server (owner?) answered, "yes" but I do have to wonder. I would give it another try for dinner entrees.
