I cannot believe my eyes. One of the food prep guys took a hard boiled egg from the prep tray- put it into his hand ( not a dish) to bring it to the back to cut and garnish to the rice plate. Ate here multiple times while in the peninsula for business. The variety of noodles kept me coming back. They are all so uniquely flavorful, and have great mouth coat similar to eating ramen in Japan. I recommend the chicken & curry (extra spicy) and the wild chili pepper & beef. The rice dish was swimming in oil! The noodles were also oily because of the oily meat topping. It made for a very greasy mouthfeel even though the taste was kinda okay. After 30 mins wait (I knew they preparing food super slow as my passed experienced) went in and asked the staff if my order is ready, the Latino lady told me that I should stay inside and wait for my name to be called, I asked her back what is the purpose to leave my phone number on that machine right. A total of 5 of us was walking by and decided to stop in this Eatery on Saturday during their soft opening. Currently, only the drink part of the Eatery (Grapeholic) is open. Looks like the food part (Noodleosophy and Rice Monster) will be coming soon. Each of us tried a different drink from Grapeholic and each one of us thought our drinks were really really good. They have a pretty unique and extensive drink menu. Great atmosphere, comfortable seating, and super clean. Can't wait to come back when their food options are available! I have been here three times since they've opened and each time I've enjoyed the food and experience. It is food hall style and you order via QR code and the staff brings the food out for you. There are several options like clay pot rice, hand cut noodles, and boba. My favorite is the clay pot rice with chicken, mushroom and I add Chinese sausage to it. 2nd visit, and this place absolutely does not disappoint. Seriously good food. I thought I was too tired from travel to eat, but ended up with a super generous bowl of chicken and noodles. Delectable! Fresh, flavorful broth, perfectly cooked ramen and delicious, moist chicken pieces with a tasty and crunchy full coverage crispy coating, broccoli cooked to make you want more. Very satisfying, and a meal not to be rushed. Staff, including manager on duty, completely attentive to customers, floor and tableware clean and non sticky tables. A year ago I stopped in on a whim, curious to try the spicy garlic noodles and see if they were up to par. I was pleasantly surprised by the cozy ambiance and traditional wood themed interior design. NOTE!: over the one year that I had first and last visited this food court the food quality has dropped significantly. At first I gave it 4 stars at first , but had to drop one due to the poor execution. The service is prompt and efficient with the mobile ordering system. The spicy garlic noodles had met expectations quite well. Excellent bouncy chewiness on the ramen noodles that cut easily when bitten into. There was a perfect amount of oil that coated every noodle without too much excess that would have caused the dish to be too greasy. The general seasoning was well balanced and did the dish's name justice. Next time I come I will definitely get the next level of heat. However, I had added a spiced egg to my dish, which fell flat of expectations. I expected a delicious runny/jammy onset egg but received a hard boiled one instead to my disappointment. read more

I am 100% ok with QR code ordering, however, I like a little just a little interaction with the staff that works there. Not one person came by and asked if we have any questions, we did but that's besides the point now. The reason we left was we wanted hot tea we couldn't find it on the menu and there was no one around to ask so I went up the the counter and asked if he knew where on the menu I can order hot tea, he's reply was I only make the noodles, I don't know. The beef was tender but not pull apart at the veins soft and the noodles had a nice chew. Also ordered a chicken and pork rib clay pot rice. There is no communication when I get in after waiting by the sign at the front. I have to flag down a guy. He tells me to sit at the table. I sit there, and the table is sticky, and there is still food from the last customers. I sit there for another 15 minutes, and no one gives me a menu or tell me to use the qr code. When I get to check out, I am charged a 15% service charge. I believe that because you pay the service charge up fount, the waiters have no incentive to give a decent experience. I had to flag down a waiter again to get an update on when dinner arrived, and she disappeared again. Like the mist, when i got my chicken curry, the chicken was over cooked I am never coming again and will not recommend this for dine in as they don't care about quality as you pay up front. read more

Randomly found this place when riding my scooter tk Millbrae BART. I was starving and before entering BART I knew I had to eat something. I looked up and saw the sign, which immediately caught my attention for its name and the appearance reminded me of graffiti street art. I had no idea what type of food it was but I was going to find out. I walked in to what essentially looked like a very clean Asian inspired cafeteria. Signage instructed patrons to scan the QR codes at the table to place there order. That was probably the only thing I disliked. When dining in, I still like the experience of a server being able to answer my questions about the menu. But I understand the shifts places have had to make since the pandemic. So it was Asian inspired restaurant that had claypot rice dishes, and noodles. I ordered the short rib ramen noodles without the broth but with extra bok choy. Let me tell you. Those noodles were well worth the fifteen minute wait. It was delicious so flavorful and the heat was tender, the small amount of broth that was included made for a perfect ending. I love their clay pot rice bowls from Rice Monster and the grapeholic drink options. The price is considered expensive though, as I can easily walk out of the door paying over $28 for just a drink and rice bowl, without adding extras! The atmosphere is welcoming and trendy. Daughter got me the lop mei and it's was ok. Nothing special. I think I made a better one. A little disappointed to see that they didn't offer any vegetables. Green onion doesn't cut it. This is a new establishment, and my first time here. Came from LA for the SF Half Marathon, and decided to try it out. I gave it a 4 star because I wasn't used to the new ordering and payment process via your phone. There is also a standard processing fee applied automatically to your bill. It was kid of confusing after we placed the food order and we wanted to add drinks. So I wasn't sure how to do that so I hit close tab. Then a waitress came by and said I had to open another bill, so I believe I had to pay another processing fee. When i was there, there was only one waitress bringing out food and cleaning table. So it was hard to get assistance. I ordered the curry chicken with biang biang noodles. Food came out quick and it was delicious. I also got the strawberry & coffee drink. It was weird at first, but it was because I didn't stir it up. Once I mixed it, it tasted good. Overall, the service was quick, food was good... it was mainly the new ordering technology along with the standard processing fee that took off one star. Rice pot dish on point although crust is not as crispy as cooked in authentic claypot. The seasoned soy sauce added flavor to the rice. But the bang bang noodles was the star in my book!! Perfectly cooked to al dente, bowl has options for meat paste or lamb or curry chicken, fried garlic or plain, comes with corn and julienned cucumber, very refreshing. Can add on items as well. Order via QR code and pay via phone... all touch less. But BEWARE WHEN YOU CLOSE OUT THE TAB: 15% service charge already added!! I didn't see it until after I added my own tip. The server gave us the wrong to go order and put it on my table, and the other server was so rude and came up to me said "Don't take any order yourself from the shelf, it's not yours." Avoid this place! Went here today for the first time, place was about 70% full at around 1:00pm on a Thursday. As other customers had mentioned, they do auto charge you 15% service fee, I pay tip every time I eat out in a restaurant, but this is a food court, a FOOD COURT, not a restaurant! That means it is pretty much self serve (order on your phone) and self pay (pay on your phone), you don't have to wash your dishes though. Okay fine, 15%, no biggie, move on to the food. We ordered beef stew noodles, it was cold! The veggies are raw, as they had just wash them (or did they?) and tossed it into the soup right before serving, the soup is warm at best.
