For no apparent reason Yelp suggested I try this place that was at least 20 minutes from my house. Turns out, today I was in the area. Mostly good reviews so I decided to give them a try. Alright, alright, alllriiiight! Yes, this is a new Wing destination. The Wings were good but first we gotta talk about those fries. I got the 10 Wing meal with Cajun fries and a drink. Man those fries were on another level. I can see some responsible parent giving their young child one of these fries not knowing they are about to lose all credibility with that kid in the future. The Fries are a bit spicy, not overly spicy but if that kid doesn't eat hot Cheetos without sweating there's going to be a problem in the back seat. I mean the fries were so good I dipped them in the provided Ranch and the taste went down. When was the last time you dipped the fry in ranch and the taste didn't go up? All I'm saying is if you're buying sides add the cajun fries, moving on . Btw no judging on the 10 piece. I ate 4 (Aaaalllll the fries) and finished them off for dinner. Y'all are something else. Lol I had 5 Lemon Pepper and 5 House flavor. Man to be honest after I tasted that Lemon Pepper and the House flavor just fell in there like ladies swimwear. They had flavor that made me forget about life for a while and that 20 minute drive to get Wings on Mondays when Wildwings has a special. Really, really good stuff here folks. These Chickens died for God's work in this kitchen. The fruity Mango and Strawberry drink was good too. I only had a few sips but it paired nicely with a shot, ok a few shots of Vodka later in the evening. I'm grown, again, stop judging. Lol I'm looking forward to my next visit before Saturday. My favorite flavor: Lemon pepper, yum! The spicy lemon pepper isn't spice at all, so to me there's no difference between the two options. Service: staff has been friendly so far. The tradition (bone in) chicken wings are so yummy! So moist and soft. Tater tots, so crispy and crunchy. Haven't had stale or chewy ones. Popcorn chicken is also good. It's crispy on the outside and meat is moist. They used to have the basic sweet and sour dipping sauce that I like. I went on 8/5/19 and I was given a different sauce but the worker says it's their sweet and sour sauce. I think they made their own, though unique, but I prefer the regular one from the bottle lol. I've tried popcorn chicken with additional lemon pepper sauce for $.50. Didn't like it too much because the wet sauce made it soggy. It's probably best to stick to the original flavor or one of the dry rub. Don't have to wait long for food. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for some wings! read more

Best Wings Ever! Our go-to menu is the 15 wings meal -- comes with a small drink and a small side. We would always get the Honey Garlic Siracha and the Garlic Parmesan. I love eating one with the wet sauce and switching to a dry-rub. There are OTHER flavors on the menu BUT we just never have the urge to try the others. LOL. The wings are good size -- none of those tiny ones (you know what I'm talking about) -- so yes, the 15 piece meal will truly satisfy two people's appetite. read more

Westminster location probably the best location. Used to not come here because it was ether too salty, or the sides tasted like they were fried in old oil. I came in looking for a change of pace from Wingstop and was totally satisfied. Firstly, their customer service was excellent; I called in as a first time customer with questions and asking for recommendations and the young lady who helped me was awesome and gave a great recommendation. I went with the ten piece boneless, 5 mango madness, 5 honey garlic sriracha. They have so many choices for sauces/rubs ;all the classic wing staples, plus a medley of Asian inspired flavors. The thing that totally won me over was the chicken. It is definitely not your average boneless wings. If you're used to those "adult chicken nugget" style wings you might be disappointed. If you love the flavor of chicken, you will be very happy! They give you lightly fried chicken breast chunks. It takes between 2-3 bites to finish one wing. You could honestly slice a piece in to smaller pieces and serve these over rice. In fact I might try that next time. The pictures of the bone-in wings look extra crispy, and delicious. MY FAVORITE WING PLACE!! The cashiers are always really helpful and nice and all the flavors I've gotten so far have not disappointed me. I really do wish I lived in the area so I could go to this place whenever I wanted but sadly I don't. Their sides are also good too, it's just an all around good place but it gets so little recognition. Theres an option for the socal fries to sub out the fries for waffle fries and it's literally heaven on earth. Socal fries are your run of the mill loaded fries but even better and they give more sauce than other wing spots. OH BTW THE POPCORN CHICKEN IS TAIWANESE POPCORN CHICKEN it's a good fusion food when the different sauces are added to it :) Favorites: Honey garlic sriracha: basically your basic vietnamese style wings with a tiny more saucy twist (my go-to) Jalapeno pepper: it's a simple dry rub, where all the spices are in harmony in your mouth. Found a hidden gem! Boba, check. Wings, check. Open late at night, check. This place offers my two favorite foods! The best of both worlds in one location! I came here for a late night dinner/snack and was surprised by the quality of the food and drinks. It was around 9PM and it was packed with young college students. My boyfriend and I took a moment to look at the menu and decided to go with the Family Meal of 20 wings and 2 sides. I don't recall what flavors we had ordered, but everything was delicious! One of the sauces was a little too salty for my liking, but it was still good. The ranch cups are huge! I like that SoCal Wings are generous with their dipping sauce. The socal fries here is bomb!! It comes with fries, chicken, cheese, and onion. It is super flavorful and delicious!!! I like that they give you the option to add any of their sauce in it. Personally, I like to add the house special sauce. As for the wings, I have only tried honey garlic sriracha, house special, and mango madness. I like them all. The wings have a crunchy texture on the outside and super juicy on the inside. That's how I like my wings. I got the 2 for $20 (15 wings, 2 sm sides, 2 sm drinks) the first time I came here. It's money worth of food! I got the Lemon Pepper & Just Garlic wings; you can get 50/50 flavors. The lemon pepper was very lemony (it wasn't to my preference) and the garlic wings were crunchy & garlicky, so I would recommend getting that for anyone's first time here. As for the sides, the cajun fries were very good. It had a similar taste to the bbq fries at potato corner. The onion rings were amazing. The rings were thick cut and crispy. Overall, the food was very delicious, but the reason for 4 stars is that the location of the store has small parking, store decor is outdated & unappealing to eat in. I say unappealing bc it looks run down & the restroom is absolutely disgusting; no toilet paper & pee on the floor! This Mom n Pop chicken and boba cafe is located off Beach and Hazard, with the door facing the Hazard side of the street. Ironically, they're located next door to Popeyes, but it doesn't seem to affect their business too much, as the stream of customers were constant while we were eating there. The place is small, holding about 8 tables, so not ideal for a large group. Most of the customers were phone orders, getting the food to go. There were 3 of us, and we decided to get the Family 30 piece of wings with 2 sides: zucchini sticks and Asian slaw. At the last minute I decided to toss in an order of their chicken nuggets, which came with a drink and a side, which we decided on the potato wedges (that ended up being our favorite side). For the sauces, we had 10 of the wings in the Aloha teriyaki sauce, 10 in the Lemon Pepper, and we split the last 10 into 5 Firecracker, and 5 original. We were offered 3 dipping sauces, which we chose ranch, blue cheese, and the sweet chili. Quite honestly, the Aloha and Lemon Pepper didn't need any dipping sauces. They had flavor on their own. The Aloha was sweet, as the Lemon Pepper was savory and quite lemony, so pucker up! Between the 2, I liked the Aloha more, and probably because of the sweet sauce. The original and Firecracker were quite the opposite end as well, with original being plain seasoning (although there was a slight Louisiana kick to it) to the in your mouth spicy Firecracker,which the ranch and blue cheese helped balance the heat. The sides were more than generous, as we barely finished the slaw and zucchini. We took home the wedges, and we even had 6 wings leftover... practically another meal. Most of the wings were decent size, and not heavily covered in batter. I do wish they offered the option of no batter, or naked, but the girl said they're pre battered. It could explain why it only took 8 minutes to get our order. I found out from reading other yelp reviews they had a stamp card, which we weren't offered. Bummer for us, there. My husband walked in to place an order and they said it would be 20 minutes. He kept asking after 20 minutes and they said they were working on it. I love Wing Stop, so naturally I was curious of SoCal Wings at the busy, once cursed corner of Hazard/Beach. Every business before has failed but SoCal Wings still stands, a testament to its service. This rather small diner has a huge selection of flavors to coat your chicken, both wet and dry. The food is so hot and the flavors can be so bold that I regularly burn my mouth unless I remember to let it cool. Still, garlic sriracha and honey mango bbq make it hard to eat these wings slowly. There's also a wide variety of different orders like super fries, boneless nuggets, and more, but the wing sauces and rubs are always available and are the real star of the show. Also, boba is here, which is random. There's already a following, which makes this place busy and crowded at peak hours like evenings. In fact, everything, from the lot, to the dining space, and the bowls, can be pretty small and claustrophobic. Still, I recommend the red curry sauce super fries. They don't upcharge for ordering all flat wings and they sides of sauce are really big! They charge .75 cents for sauce but the container is about double the normal plastic ramekin size, so I think it's worth it. Red Curry - thick, creamy, mild spice, very flavorful Flaming Phoenix - medium spicy, sweet habanero pepper flavor, slight sweetness, a little bit bland Linda's Special (their hottest sauce) - flavorful, slight ginger flavor, strangely I found the flaming phoenix sauce to be spicier than this one.... Just Garlic - garlicky! and very flavorful, really enhances their marinated chicken Fireball - this wasn't very spicy, it was kind of sweet and spicy, very thick, it reminds me of Korean gochujang. This place breads their chicken wings, that's how we had our wings the first time. The second time we specified that we wanted unbreaded. I prefer unbreaded, their chicken is really well marinated here and the breading is kind of distracting from the sauce and meat. Also, their sauces are all pretty thick and when combined with the breading it can feel really heavy and kind of pasty? I'm not sure how to describe the mouth feel but I don't really like it. For the side order I got the zucchini sticks which was pretty good. The sizes of the wings are huge! I couldn't even finish half of the meal. The meal also comes with a fountain drink, but you could sub it for a boba drink. I tried the mango green tea (50 cents extra for boba) and the fusion Thai tea which is a mix of green Thai tea and regular Thai tea. Both drinks were pretty good.
