Stumbled on this spot while grabbing stuff at Ralph's and its solids. Good portions . Food is good , will definitely come back when I'm in the area .

9$ and something, and each item is the size of a a palm, with reason there's no clients Teriyaki is hard Rice is not to flavorful

I've been a loyal customer for years & am still grateful to have a restaurant that still packs their plates the way they do. Prices are good for example $12 for 2 entree plate! Their egg flower soup or cream cheese wontons are yummy too! Parking is easy & lines don't take long if there is any.

This Chinese take out place has been around for over 10 years and it holds to many people in the community. It's in the plaza where there's a 7-11 and across the street from Wall Mart. Over the years, it has gotten slowly better but the OG workers are gone and new people are here. What has change are the prices but it's still kind of affordable. All combos is choice of fried rice/ chow Mein or half and half Order #1 combo with chow Mein and beef and broccoli. It still holds up when I first try this in 2009.

Just as most Chinese scoop restaurants, the large portions make up for the price because you usually get two meals out of it. The Kung Pao Chicken and Curry Chicken were flavorful with a mild spice level - good for those that do not eat extremely spicy foods. The Black Pepper Chicken was also flavorful. My least favorite, however, was the BBQ Pork because it is sliced too thin - so the meat is noticeably dried out. It is still flavorful, but there are other Chinese scoops locally that make it better. Overall, a good Wok Experience.

A big two item portion .

The WOK Experience was a pleasant surprise here in Westminster as we know of one in Huntington Beach. Having the same name must be that they have equally as good Chinese point and choose dishes on the counter. Walking in, we were greeted, and I immediately knew that a fried rice and noodles combo would work for me. Now for the sides; mushrooms and chicken for a side, and I see greens for vegetables. The nice server went to the kitchen, and I waited. The lovely missus has Teri chicken and noodles and a green bean dish. My vegetables were made fresh; cabbage and carrots and zuchini and more. We also got some round almond cookies and found the napkins and fork and fortune cookies in the heavy bag. We were doing takeout. Well, no doubts about our choosing The Wok Experience at the Westminster location. It was a bountyful great lunch, and I had more for dinner with a cookie dessert.

The box of orange chicken Combo, and I sorted out.

I have been eating at The Wok Experience for twenty years and I have Orange chicken together with a combo only five times. Today I'm honestly grading for one star because five or six pieces of chicken. Other pieces are junk of flour. It was so greasy and I'm considering my health and illness. No thank you

Real big chunks of chicken thigh perfectly glazed with sauce and well fried outer coat layer. This is what real fake Chinese food we are talking about. The char siu wasn't too sweet but is on the drier side but the meat is lean not so fatty. Place is small but well kept dining area. You actually get some texture and substantial bites of meat and seafood rather than the overly processed filling you sometimes find elsewhere. The spare ribs are another favourite. They're tender, flavourful, and perfectly seasoned without being overly salty or heavy. And I have to mention the satay. I'm not sure if they make it in-house or use a specific brand, but whatever they're doing, it's one of the best satays I've had and better than pretty much any store-bought brand I've tried and better than a lot of what I've had at other restaurants.

Some reviewers write about a rude attitude from employees and a belief that people who speak the Korean language are treated better than those who don't. I've seen people who only speak English and are courteous being treated warmly. Furthermore, the employees here don't miss a beat. The timing of when the entrees arrive to the table after ordering has been consistent over the years. I have not ever waited long for the kimchi, rice, and entrees to arrive, and for our family to be eating. Everything tastes the same as when I first started going decades ago, which is fantastic.

Turns out, it wasn't nearly as crowded as before - though spoiler: the price has increased a lot (I want to say it was $25/lb 10 years ago, and now is $37/lb). Keep in mind too, you can't get a small amount like 1lb - usually it's gonna be 3+lb so your bill is easily going to hit mid-$100 to $200s from the lobster alone. That being said, many people swear this is the best, and that's why they can charge whatever they want. I'm actually allergic to lobster (lol) but am a team player so I just sampled it for the funsies, and had to get another dish to actually eat (went with the beef lok luk). My family said the lobster noodle was good, but not like, fantastic (which we were expecting not fantastic but yeah, mostly came here to a family meeting.) The beef lok luk was also pretty good like, 4.3 of 5 - we just had another version at Paradise which was astounding (like 4.6) though also more expensive and pretty far away. Overall, not sure if we'll come back again as we're more curious about the copycats that have popped up which might be 80% as good and much more affordable. Stay tuned! :)

This helped us get a table much faster than we would have than if we had just shown up and waited. We ordered the large family meal, and there were 12 of us. We also ordered the Newport Lobster, fish fillet with black bean sauce, and an extra shrimp fried rice. Overall, I think the food was good, and the prices are reasonable (except the lobster, which was pricey, as you might expect from anything listed as "market price"). Most of us in the group thought the fish fillet with black bean sauce was the best. I thought it was very good, but not necessarily fantastic. (There are other Chinese restaurants that do it a little better.) The sauce was very good, but the fish wasn't quite as tender as it can be. Definitely a solid 4 stars. Other dishes were good. I think the scallop soup could have been great for some people, but my wife and I both hate cilantro, and there was a ton of cilantro. The pork was also good, and my friends thought the clams were also really good. I found the fried rice a bit bland. And for both the lobster and the crab, they could have made them a little easier to eat by cracking the shells a bit more for us. I hate fighting with my food ... And there was a fair amount of fighting on these 2 dishes. The lobster cost almost much as all the other dishes combined. It certainly looked amazing. And the sauce was very good. But I found most of it a bit overcooked. Maybe it was our fault for asking for a big one. Maybe a smaller lobster might have been cooked a little less. The great sauce (along with the fighting with the shell) might have covered up the fact that the meat was actually a bit tough and rubbery. I don't think I'd order this again. The service was very friendly and pretty fast. And, again, other than the lobster, the pieces were pretty reasonable.

Capital Seafood Restaurant opened at 11am; the wait was well worth it. All three of us loved it. There is a decent size dedicated parking lot just for the standalone restaurant, so was able to find easy parking. We were greeted immediately and directed to a circular booth, giving the three of us plenty of space. The inside space looked recently renovated, with a dedicated banquet room, and two dining hall wings. Hot complementary hot tea was brought for all, and ice water later when I specifically asked for it. Service was excellent throughout. The menu is a book, with the first two pages dedicated to a large lunch menu. Here it doesn't come with any additions (i.e. no soup or egg roll), but white rice is included and served family style. What it does have is a large selection (a whopping 53 different items), including some items I've never seen on a lunch before, all for $13.50. The menu is displayed on the first page (27 items) of the menu book, with the standard vegetarian, chicken, beef, or pork dishes. But by turning the page, one gets to another 26, this time mostly seafood. Many of the items caught by eye. L36 -Ship with Garlic Sauce - it came with big jumbo headless/shell-off shrimp, using a dark pungent sauce that I really liked. Vegetables were green and red peppers, red onions, and a lot of wood ear mushrooms (which I really like). It's a dish I would recommend, especially at this price point. L53 - Pan Fried Whole Fish - didn't really expect much from this, but asked the waitress what type of fish (was expecting tilapia or sway). When she answered 'flounder', I had to try it....and it was much, much better than I expected for the lunch price. It was a WHOLE expertly prepared flounder, with a crisp batter that I enjoyed, and a sweet delicate meat. It came with 2 sauces (soy based, sweet/sour), more for the batter. It was served immediately after it had been prepared. I really loved it, and felt it was a bargain for the price. 90- House Chow Mein HK style ($17) - a disk of deep fried chow mein, topped with a mixture of greens and different meats (including shrimp), in a lighter sauce. It was served immediately after preparation, which allowed us to choose if we want to eat the noodles while still crispy, or let the sauce soak in. Portions are not huge (even for the normal menu item like the pan fried noodles), but very appropriate for the prices. The three of us were able to finish our meal, with no need for take home containers. Soda is only provided from cans ($2.75 each) and I got a bottle of Tsingtao for $5. The check was brought to the table, with a 3% service charge for use of credit card. I enjoy doing a little research about the history of a restaurant like this. On a preliminary scan, there are multiple restaurants with the name of Capital Seafood in the LA/OC area: This location (with the original name of Capital Seafood, having domain of capitalseafoodgg.com) was founded in 1996 by immigrants from Cambodia, and recently was taken over by the original owner's son. There is a different restaurant (also named Capital Seafood, under the Capital Seafood Group in Irvine) running 3 Capital Noodle Bars in Irvine, Costa Mesa, and Brea, along with a Capital Seafood Restaurant in Irvine. This group seems to be related to Kim Tar (a SGV restaurant founded in 1982 in Monterey Park), signifying that they are using those original recipes in their restaurant. This location doesn't seem to be operated by that group, instead run as a separate restaurant. There is also a New Capital Seafood Restaurant in Rowland Heights, which doesn't seem to be operationally related to either one, though most likely branching off at some point. The only thing common seems to be the 'Capital' name (and the assumption that the owners/operators are probably related).

What stood out to me over the Capital Seafood in Irvine was the much friendlier service and the 90s R&B music in the background which was cool. Got the Lobster with house special sauce, Roasted duck with steam buns ($50), and Sautéed Pea sprouts veggies. * The lobster was definitely the star but just know the sauce is very buttery so may try a lighter sauce next time. Also still needed to crack some pieces so hands got really dirty (4/5) . * The duck was unfortunately too dry and tough and skin not so crispy so I will prob skip next time. But portion was good. (3/5) * The peasprout veggies were good and had a nice crunch but needed a little more salt. (4/5) Hot Tea was smooth, seating comfy. Only thing it was freezing cold and they should prob drop the AC a few degrees. The white girl server was super nice and always checked on us. Overall good experience and will be back.
