Came in to get some Chinese after having come a few weeks prior and having a good experience. This time was totally different. We came in and there were 3 other people in line waiting for a phone order to be fulfilled before they could order. After yelling at us to form a different line, it took them 30 minutes to serve 3 people. Then when it came to our turn, the person behind us was served first and checked out. When I asked why did the person behind us get to go first they said, "I asked next and you didn't say anything" when they had literally already written down our order on a box. Now to the food. It was awful, couldn't even finish it. The chow mein that we were apparently waiting so long for was flavorless and slimy. The spicy Mandarin chicken tasted just like orange chicken with no spice and the there's barely any beef in the broccoli beef. We threw it away. Will probably never come here again. Just go to Panda. At least their customer service and quality of food is better even though you get less for your money. I rather have a smaller portion of good tasting food and good customer service than a huge box of slop with terrible service. read more

Came to this place on 9/14/2026 to give this place a try after seeing it on my Instagram. Upon walking in the lady who was serving the Food was very helpful and very courteous in getting my three-item combo ready. It was a lot of food for the container, but they use a skinny Styrofoam container so it looks like more Food than it really is. The BBQ pork was overcooked, but the beef ribs were not too bad and the teriyaki chicken wasn't bad as well. The fried rice and steamed rice was OK. The 3-item combo came out to under $15 which is very reasonable. The atmosphere was a very chill vibe. There was a few customers inside eating. I took my food to go. Wasn't the best Chinese food I've ever had, but it was OK for the price. Not sure if I'll be back but like I said it was an ok meal for the price. read more

First are the Cambodian women who ladled out the food. They are fun and sweet and bright. They were polite but strict to a homeless woman who came in and told her to leave and come back at closing and they would give her some food. They manage to get more food in their containers than I thought possible and order fresh batches the second the food get stale. There is usually a line because it is the best bargain for decent food you will find. You always have leftovers. This review is specifically for the new owners of this magnificent restaurant. I have been a customer for over 10 years and have never written a review before, but I am doing so now--and this is addressed exclusively to the owner. You have an excellent staff, but I want to highlight the impeccable work and service provided by the two young women at the front, Vonna and Sina; they are the best and kindest employees in the establishment. However, for the past few months, I have noticed them looking extremely stressed. I believe the owner should consider hiring a third person for the front--someone to handle the register, at the very least--since the girls do everything and end up absolutely exhausted. Honestly, I saw Sina looking so drained she was nearly on the verge of fainting. An extra employee up front would really help; right now it's 6:35 PM, the place is packed, and the girls are giving it their all. On top of the line of customers, they are handling all the incoming online orders, and the poor things can barely keep up with it all. I think it is more cost-effective to have an extra employee--even just for the busiest hours so they can catch their breath--than to risk one of them collapsing from working under such pressure! I won't stop mentioning this until something is done for them; otherwise, I won't continue shopping here. read more

Last review: 2016 Just went again yesterday and, unfortunately, I can see a SUBSTANTIAL change. BOTH in quantity AND price. Of course, I've been here since 2016 as it's the closest fast food Chinese food near my house. Sad to say this time I was buying for a friend who just got out of the hospital... and I'm sad to say, disappointed as I thought it had been getting better again. Yesterday, I could immediately see that they had new SMALLER containers. Hum. As she's dishing up the chow mein, I could also see the portion size was going to be MUCH smaller as there isn't as much room in the container. Sure enough.... MUCH SMALLER PORTIONS ON BOTH OF MY TWO ITEM COMBOS. Remembering the food was so generous before and the price was extremely reasonable. I understand we've all been through a lot and small businesses are struggling, HOWEVER, it's a double shock to see an increase in price (from $8 to $12) AND a decrease in portion. ONE FINAL POSITIVE NOTE. The food is still tasty! I took and posted two photos, but you cannot tell how shallow the container is. I'd honestly say, HALF OR MORE of the portion it used to be. Sad. Came here for the first time, I will never come to this location again. I walked in to pick up food for my friend. There's a big sign that says that the shrimp dishes will be cooked to order but does not list the prices under it or near it. I went to order a plate with half chow mein and half fried rice with orange chicken with honey shrimp. When I told the employee what I wanted, she scoffed and pointed at the sign and said that it was made to order. The employee was very annoyed with me and was rude to me when I was trying to ask her questions if I could substitute the shrimp for one of the entrees for an upcharge. I realize now that I did not read the second line of the fine print but she did not need to be that rude to me. I initially apologized and told her that it was my first time there. I had just gotten off of work after a long day and I was tired which is why I didn't even notice it saying that the shrimp dishes were separate from the plates. She and the other employee there gave me a look that made me lose my appetite. I ended up getting my friend a plate with orange chicken and half and half. I will never come here again, it's my first AND last time. I wish I got their names to include it in this review. The only two positive things I'll mention are the store's overall cleanliness and good portion size. Lucky Chinese Food off of Brookhurst and Ellis is way better. Employees are very polite and respectful and it's good food but it is cash only. read more

I hadn't eaten here in several years and it has greatly declined in the quality and taste of the food. I had been craving Chinese food for weeks and since the place I usually order from was closed I ordered from The Wok Experience through Uber Eats. I ordered the Tofu Eggplant and Vegetables with fried rice and chow mein (2 entree plate) and an order of Cream Cheese Wontons. The quality, flavor and taste of the food was awful. it both looked and tasted old, like it had been made days in advance. It had no flavor, the veggies were soggy sitting in a pool of water and the cream cheese wontons had a very strange smell. That said, I could not eat the food nor did I feel safe eating it or offering it to a homeless person so it was thrown out. I will not order from this restaurant again and do not recommend. There are several other Chinese restaurants in the area and/or available for order on the food delivery apps. read more

2019 was my last review and it was and still is a 5 star for me. The lines can be long, but the food is worth it. The serving sizes are large and always fresh. The counter staff is efficient and they are handling delivery food orders while serving customers. Just went in there to try to get some lunch. I ordered a bowl. They said we don't have any bowls right now so you can't get that. They told me I needed to buy a plate instead since they didn't have a bowl. I told them they can put it in whatever they want, but I shouldn't have to pay more than the price of the food that I want because you don't have any more containers. They couldn't have cared less, so I walked out. I was a regular customer here and now will not be returning again because of how ridiculous this just was.
