Hidden gem in Harker Heights. Healthy homemade comfort foods in a cozy setting. This family run restaurant offers excellent healthy choices & food to go. Meat is AHF & organic produce /juices. Thanks for your friendly personal service & delicious fare. We will be back!

Caesar salad at So Natural a must try

Yesterday was my mother n laws birthday so I took her and my wife to So Natural for the first time. I had a wonderful Cesar salad with a in house dressing followed by a vegan lemon cheese cake made from nuts. My mother n law had the organic chicken with the sweet potato lash and spinach. My wife had the vegan chilli with corn muffins. All plates were empty and everyone was smiling. The food was outstanding and what earn them a perfect score cleanliness of the building including the restrooms... The staff is wonderful and fully engaging.

The TV show Restaurant Impossible was just out last week, and the place looks amazing! I never had the opportunity to go out before the renovation, but I am VERY pleased with the current state. The atmosphere is so light and fresh and the food is delicious. The biggest boon is how inclusive the menu is to a variety of dietary needs, which is SO needed in central Texas. I am vegan and my dad is gluten-free and we had no problems ordering! They also have organic, non-GMO, and paleo, and grass-fed options. I had the hummus and veggies, the black-bean burger with the cashew-caesar salad, and a slice of vegan pecan pie. Delicious! My dad also enjoyed his mediterranean-style pasta salad. There is a little market of organic products and a to-go menu with calorie counts. I will definitely be returning to this family owned/operated gem.

You must remember that this restaurant is only a few weeks old, so do not expect it to be perfect. If you go in with that mindset you will at least appreciate that something in Killeen/HH is trying to be "natural." The owner immediately disclaimered the food as "we have run out of everything that is fresh, but I can get you any of our pre-made options," which did not instill confidence. My wife and I got the Gluten-free pizza with onions and green peppers and the hamburger with paleo-bread and a ginger fermented tea. The pizza was good, however I have to agree with the above reviews on portion to price ratio. Paleo-bread was different and I enjoyed the novelty. Everything feels about $2.50 too expensive, however, don't count this place out; give it a shot.

We wanted to eat healthier tonight after several days of traveling and we stumbled upon So Natural and their really good reviews. Don't let the shopping center sway you. I had doubt when I saw the center but we went in and quickly decided that we had made a good choice. One of the owners was working tonight and invited us to the front counter to see the full menu. The four of us each chose something different - I got the jerk chicken special, my wife got a chicken breast with Mac and cheese, and our friends got a salmon meal and a vegetarian special. We all agreed that the meals were delicious. The cabbage was perfectly seasoned, Mac and cheese was obviously home made and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. Do yourself a favor and try the ginger lemonade. Amazing! The owner (former military) came out to talk with us and ensure we were satisfied. We had a nice conversation and even our 9 Month old was intrigued by what he was saying (see pic). Folks, this family is doing it right: great service to their customers and quality healthy meals you will be talking about. You won't be disappointed.

Jerk chicken. The veggies compliment the dish perfectly

I was in harker heights so I thought I'd check it out. I don't have tv so I didn't know about it when it was showcased. I only knew bc of the reviews. I was excited to try a local fresh place to eat. I know nothing of the before but the after is a very natural/organic feel to it. I liked all the green and the chalk menu writing. What was nice was the family own feel and good customer service. I went there at 7:30 and they close at 8. They made me feel like it was still ok to eat inside, which I appreciated. I got the jerk chicken and it was good but what made the dish was all the sides! The cauliflower was cooked perfectly. The tomatoes gave it a sweet taste. I'm not always a fan of quinoa but this was really good. It wasn't mushy or hard, just a perfect texture. I think what made it good was the chimichurry sauce. It wasn't overpowering but it added something to the whole dish that tied it together. It felt light and filling. I will go back to check out other dishes. I also loved that they have products sold at local groceries. There was a young boy sweeping the floor and it was really cute that he knew so much about their products. He was working and providing customer service and advertising their other locations that sold their products. I appreciate a kid who knows good business and the art of up sale. He will be a great business owner one day. It's these personal touches to local business that I like about eating out.

Love it! Friendly atmosphere and the food is delicious. I had the jerk chicken(to die for), macaroni and cheese and that corn muffin yum yum yum. The ginger lemonade is awesome, you can really taste the ginger.

Daily special! Baked chicken, gluten-free Mac and cheese, grilled asparagus, and gluten-free corn muffin! Ginger lemonade to top it off.

Delicious, organic, locally-sourced ingredients - it doesn't get much better than this! My lunch special of baked chicken (moist and flavorful!), grilled asparagus, and gluten-free mac and cheese (never missed the gluten!) was about $14, including a ginger lemonade. Two thumbs up - way up! This gem of a restaurant will make the rotation for my visits to Killeen.

This restaurant is a wonderful addition to the Harker Heights area! I am so glad i was able to eat here and couldn't be more impressed and FULL ! Don't let the location fool you, once you enter you're welcomed with a bright and clean eating spot. The atmosphere is laid back and so are the employees. Everyone was really sweet and accommodating. The food just took the experience to another level. I ordered the Organic Jerk Chicken and had the ginger lemonade . I had just come from the gym so was hoping to get something filling. Not only did the presentation look wonderful but the food was hot and DELICIOUS! I had to force myself to make room to try the vegan chocolate cheesecake. Of course as a chocolate lover i was on cloud nine! fun fact: they also have juices, smoothies and do meal prep meals. Plus, this place was featured on Food Network's show Restaurant Impossible. The prices are a tad on the higher side but i feel like this evens out with the high quality of the food. I doubt you'll find a restaurant like this in the killeen/harker heights area. Even if you live in temple or austin it is worth the drive for a saturday afternoon.

Went to Natural Grocers and seen these amazing cookies so good!

I so love this restaurant! I visited for the first time today and ordered the tuna sandwich w/sweet potatoes fries and ginger lemonade. DELICIOUS! I would have never known the food was healthy and organic if the menu didn't say so.lol The staff is friendly, the dining area is inviting and super clean! Definitely coming back.

No longer exists. Catering for parties only. Guess it's easier to cook two dishes than to provide a full menu of entries.

Ask the Community - So Natural Catering

Are you closed forever?

No, they reopened as an event venue with catering and cooking classes.

Is this place closed down? Because yesterday, my mom and I stop by it look like it was closed down.

We are temporarily closed for a catering. We will reopen July 16th.

The choices that seem to have gone into the reuse of materials and the decorating style get 5 stars from me. The two staff members we interacted with couldn't have been any nicer or more attentive. From the first greeting to saying goodbye, they were great. The plate presentation was unusual, but very attractive. All of that said, this is still a restaurant. I had a Brisket Burger. The burger itself on the pretzel roll was ok, but the Brisket..... I have lived in Texas all of my life. I have had Brisket from some truly talented pit masters, and I always judge it by the tenderness, smoke ring, and bark. This was mushy and wet (not moist, more like it was boiled?) and very pale with little taste. If this did start as Brisket, then what was done to it is borderline criminal. Overheard another customer talking to the owner (I believe), commenting on the unusual choice of cornbread waffles with the Chicken Fried Chicken, and her response was that she was from "up North", and didn't understand "Texas Toast" served down here. Maybe that is the issue. When you hear a name like "Let's Eat Texas" you are expecting food cooked a certain way, with a certain taste. Maybe they should rename it "Let's Eat New Jersey", at least then you would know what you were getting into.

It's not like I can go into any department store and find the same wall art everywhere I go. I found a flower bunch that was $26 ALONE at Walmart... but at hobby lobby, I was able to create my own, and the flowers look almost exactly the same as the bunch I had seen earlier for only $1.50 a flower and $3.50 for the pot at hobby lobby, I spent $9.50 total per flower pot arrangement!!! I used to love coming to this Hobby Lobby location and decorating my home with items from here, but…read morerecently my experiences have been completely ruined by the attitude of some of the employees. Over the last 2 months, one Hispanic young employee with red hair has made every visit extremely unpleasant with rude behavior and a terrible attitude. Today, she was also constantly staring at us in a very judgmental way and making us feel extremely uncomfortable the entire time we were shopping. No customer should feel watched or judged just for being in the store. The older cashier with glasses at the register was also openly looking us up and down and came across as very judgmental and unwelcoming. Customers should not feel uncomfortable or judged while simply trying to shop. It's disappointing because this used to be one of my favorite stores, but the customer service lately has been awful. I really wish management would hire kinder, more professional employees instead of people with constant attitudes toward customers.
