I can't express what a lovely experience we had in this adorable café. It is tucked away in a remote strip mall that looks like it's going out of business so it was an unlikely find. BUT LOOK FOR IT!! I would recommend you go there because the food is absolutely scrumptious and it is a gem. The owner says they are moving to a busier location in central Killeen soon, so that will make them more visible and get the reviews they really deserve. The food tasted like homemade, nothing artificial about it. My husband had some grilled chicken and some sweet potato mash and some asparagus that was also grilled. I had their delicious grilled salmon, sweet corn bread, asparagus, and brown rice. All of it was prepared as if you were at your grandma's house. The owner came out and spoke to I asked, asking questions. He said that they offer military discount, and they really take good care of their clients. The ginger tea was amazing. When we left we felt satisfied but not like we were not overstuffed and it was a nice experience compared to many of the chain restaurants that are all over the place in this part of Texas. If you are looking for a clean quiet and healthy option this is the place to go. And even if we are here for a couple days, we will def return for their smoothie bar concoctions and deli-style sandwiches. Highly recommend for food allergy sufferers and picky eaters read more

I used SoNatural's catering services for my husband's 35th birthday on 12/21/24 and they were very lovely, personable and professional. The food was so good that I ordered enough for 70 people, and though only 50 people showed, all of the food was gone! People got seconds! I got the jerk chicken, pot roast, green beans and garlic mashed potatoes with rolls. It was delicious! read more

Me and the wife we're craving pizza but have a plant based diet and in this town they're is near to impossible chances to find any so we asked if we could have one made. They said they could gladly make it and with the best resource of vegan cheese places use, Daiya cheese. Also got a side of baked fries with it as well since it was closely based on our diet and was additional food for our dinner. After ordering for pick up, I went over there and noticed it was a family ran business and interior was nicely put together. They owner it seemed like was very nice, asked for a military discount wasn't available but was very nice to take the fries off my order. Carrying the 2 orders of pizzas and fries they seemed light. To found out the pizzas were pretty small, individual size, our fault partly not knowing what size it was. The flavor was good but you aren't going to find the resemblance in a regular pizza. The baked fries were defiantly a hit! Fresh, unlike anywhere you'll find. Overall a bit pricey but that is the cost of natural organic food. Pizza was ok but the fries what made this place stand out. read more

The TV show Restaurant Impossible was just out last week, and the place looks amazing! I never had the opportunity to go out before the renovation, but I am VERY pleased with the current state. The atmosphere is so light and fresh and the food is delicious. The biggest boon is how inclusive the menu is to a variety of dietary needs, which is SO needed in central Texas. I am vegan and my dad is gluten-free and we had no problems ordering! They also have organic, non-GMO, and paleo, and grass-fed options. I had the hummus and veggies, the black-bean burger with the cashew-caesar salad, and a slice of vegan pecan pie. Delicious! My dad also enjoyed his mediterranean-style pasta salad. There is a little market of organic products and a to-go menu with calorie counts. I will definitely be returning to this family owned/operated gem. read more

I love this restaurant. It's a perfect hidden gem in Harker Heights. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was amazing as well. There are not any natural organic restaurants in this area so this is a great option for those who like to eat clean and especially those who are vegetarians. I wish I could afford to eat here everyday. My favorite is the mac and cheese and cabbage. Best in Central Texas. They need to expand all over Texas. And then nationally and internationally. read more

Yesterday was my mother n laws birthday so I took her and my wife to So Natural for the first time. I had a wonderful Cesar salad with a in house dressing followed by a vegan lemon cheese cake made from nuts. My mother n law had the organic chicken with the sweet potato lash and spinach. My wife had the vegan chilli with corn muffins. All plates were empty and everyone was smiling. The food was outstanding and what earn them a perfect score cleanliness of the building including the restrooms... The staff is wonderful and fully engaging. read more

You must remember that this restaurant is only a few weeks old, so do not expect it to be perfect. If you go in with that mindset you will at least appreciate that something in Killeen/HH is trying to be "natural." The owner immediately disclaimered the food as "we have run out of everything that is fresh, but I can get you any of our pre-made options," which did not instill confidence. My wife and I got the Gluten-free pizza with onions and green peppers and the hamburger with paleo-bread and a ginger fermented tea. The pizza was good, however I have to agree with the above reviews on portion to price ratio. Paleo-bread was different and I enjoyed the novelty. Everything feels about $2.50 too expensive, however, don't count this place out; give it a shot. read more

We wanted to eat healthier tonight after several days of traveling and we stumbled upon So Natural and their really good reviews. Don't let the shopping center sway you. I had doubt when I saw the center but we went in and quickly decided that we had made a good choice. One of the owners was working tonight and invited us to the front counter to see the full menu. The four of us each chose something different - I got the jerk chicken special, my wife got a chicken breast with Mac and cheese, and our friends got a salmon meal and a vegetarian special. We all agreed that the meals were delicious. The cabbage was perfectly seasoned, Mac and cheese was obviously home made and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. Do yourself a favor and try the ginger lemonade. Amazing! The owner (former military) came out to talk with us and ensure we were satisfied. We had a nice conversation and even our 9 Month old was intrigued by what he was saying (see pic). Folks, this family is doing it right: great service to their customers and quality healthy meals you will be talking about. You won't be disappointed. read more

Delicious, organic, locally-sourced ingredients - it doesn't get much better than this! My lunch special of baked chicken (moist and flavorful!), grilled asparagus, and gluten-free mac and cheese (never missed the gluten!) was about $14, including a ginger lemonade. Two thumbs up - way up! This gem of a restaurant will make the rotation for my visits to Killeen. read more

I was in harker heights so I thought I'd check it out. I don't have tv so I didn't know about it when it was showcased. I only knew bc of the reviews. I was excited to try a local fresh place to eat. I know nothing of the before but the after is a very natural/organic feel to it. I liked all the green and the chalk menu writing. What was nice was the family own feel and good customer service. I went there at 7:30 and they close at 8. They made me feel like it was still ok to eat inside, which I appreciated. I got the jerk chicken and it was good but what made the dish was all the sides! The cauliflower was cooked perfectly. The tomatoes gave it a sweet taste. I'm not always a fan of quinoa but this was really good. It wasn't mushy or hard, just a perfect texture. I think what made it good was the chimichurry sauce. It wasn't overpowering but it added something to the whole dish that tied it together. It felt light and filling. I will go back to check out other dishes. I also loved that they have products sold at local groceries. There was a young boy sweeping the floor and it was really cute that he knew so much about their products. He was working and providing customer service and advertising their other locations that sold their products. I appreciate a kid who knows good business and the art of up sale. He will be a great business owner one day. It's these personal touches to local business that I like about eating out. read more

Today is the first time we ate here. It was great! We are from the Seattle area of WA state, so we have experienced many forms of healthy, alternative, eateries. So, I will try to make this a useful review to those like us. First, please take a moment to Imagine the strength and courage it took for the owners to start this in Harker Height, TX. (They deserve our respect at the least). Since this is my first time eating here, I cannot give them 5 stars yet. But, I can certainly give you my first impressions. Location: off the beaten path, but easy to get to and tons of parking. The dining area was super clean, comfortably set, very casual, and roomy. It smelled fabulous...light scent of curry and Italian herbs...I liked it. Next time I am trying a curry dish. Staff: I have rarely experienced such an inviting welcome in a restaurant or cafe. It was more like being invited as a guest in someone's home. They were warm and friendly. Open to any questions. And happy to serve us, like we were their favorite cousins come to visit. You can't get better than that. If, however, you are looking for a snobby, glassy eyed "I eat, smoke, and wear hemp. Therefore, I am way too cool to make eye contact with you or speak to you" (a real possibility when entering a vegan eatery in say, Olympia, WA). Then this is not the place for you. This is real food for real people. Food: Hubby and I had lunch. Just simple, basic, excellent sandwiches. His, chicken, mine, a burger...yes, we are carnivores....no apologies. Still, this doesn't provide much to review. All I can say is, the food was excellent, better than expected. Simple, clean, and filling. We were satisfied body and soul. The serving sizes are correct, single servings. If you are expecting to be super sized, then you will be disappointed. If you are accustomed to gorging yourself, you will think you got ripped off. However, if you understand that the average American is obese because they eat too damn much food all the time...just a fact, not a judgement...then you will appreciate that this restaurant does not tempt you to gorge yourself. SPECIAL NOTE: THE PALEO CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE GETS A 5 STAR RATING! Price: 2 years of Paleo eating for 2 adults averages $800 a month in groceries. You don't even have to do the math to know it's expensive, just go buy 1 organic zucchini at HEB. Yes, healthy, clean, real, organic, vegan food is expensive. Plus, we cave-persons don't get to eat grain, no pasta filling our plates at pennies a serving. So, to me a $28 meal for 2 that is pure, doesn't give me heartburn, no pesticides, no GMOs, super fresh, healthy, etc ., is not expensive...you had me at no cooking and cleaning, thank you. Healthy food is not cheap. We cannot expect real food at Taco Bell prices. If you do...well, you're just silly. read more

I just visited for the grand opening today and really enjoyed everything. There are gluten-free items, vegan items, southern items, meat items, and many other items on the menu. Almost everything is organic. There is something for everyone-salads, mac and cheese, meat loaf, pizza, and more. I tried the gluten-free pizza and can say it's the best I've had in the area. I also had the gluten-free butter cookie which was delicious. The owners were very friendly and eager to meet their community. They will also be adding even more to the menu as time goes on. We are so happy to have another healthy option in our community and I hope you will support this local business which has an eye on health. read more

I had the salmon, with corn muffin, sweet potato fries and a house salad with caesar dressing Salmon= cooked properly (not dry or raw) nicely seasoned Corn muffin:flavor was great, a little drier than expected but tasted great Potato fries: baked and unsalted but for some reason that did not effect how good they were House salad: all the veggies really had good flavor Gluten free Caesar dressing: the best I have had, & made in house The owner was quick to inform me about which diet each item was paleo, vegan, vegetarian gluten free. Which as I am none of those things yet was nice to know The caesar dressing was home I also tried the bean pie which tasted just like pumpkin pie. They also sell a line of prepackaged meals made in house. Very neat dining concept, will visit again. read more

This place is a gem. The owner is kind and thoughtful and she understands how difficult it can be to find restaurants and markets that make good food and cater to healthy plant-based diets. The vegan, raw pumpkin cheesecake was AMAZING. I cannot wait to try the Portobello burger and other vegan items they have on their menu. I was also excited to see they have for sale some other things I miss from more diverse market like blue sky sodas, Vergils root beer, and I finally stocked up on coconut sugar without having to drive all the way to Temple I cannot wait to come back! read more

I've been to So Natural a few times and I haven't been disappointed yet. My favorite thing to get is the grass-fed hamburger with sweet potato fries. The Greek pasta salad is also great. Although the service is a bit slow and the prices could been seen by some as a tad pricey, the staff are incredibly friendly and the food is so good that it's entirely worth the wait and cost. My only wish for this place is that they would expand their "market" to include more goods, but that has no bearing on the wonderful food and friendly staff. read more

This restaurant is a wonderful addition to the Harker Heights area! I am so glad i was able to eat here and couldn't be more impressed and FULL ! Don't let the location fool you, once you enter you're welcomed with a bright and clean eating spot. The atmosphere is laid back and so are the employees. Everyone was really sweet and accommodating. The food just took the experience to another level. I ordered the Organic Jerk Chicken and had the ginger lemonade . I had just come from the gym so was hoping to get something filling. Not only did the presentation look wonderful but the food was hot and DELICIOUS! I had to force myself to make room to try the vegan chocolate cheesecake. Of course as a chocolate lover i was on cloud nine! fun fact: they also have juices, smoothies and do meal prep meals. Plus, this place was featured on Food Network's show Restaurant Impossible. The prices are a tad on the higher side but i feel like this evens out with the high quality of the food. I doubt you'll find a restaurant like this in the killeen/harker heights area. Even if you live in temple or austin it is worth the drive for a saturday afternoon. read more

It's been almost a year since my last review and I've been going here steadily for lunch. The menu has got bigger and the owner has listened carefully to the suggestions that have been made. Love it. Organic, gluten free, local grass fed beef, paleo options. This place has it all! Even their salt shakers have special pink himalayan salt and the sugar packets they offer are natural organic Stevia. Everything was delicious but the smoothies were the best. Fresh fruit, coconut milk and coconut sugar - all organic. Will definitely be back here again. Don't judge this book by its cover. The restaurant is family owned/operated, which I appreciate. It is a natural and organic restaurant and that is a rarity around here. The service was nice and the food was even better! I wish I didn't wait so long to go here. I had the chicken sandwich minus the jalapeños. It was excellent. I had a side of fries. No salt, but that suited fine. I would order both again. I would come here again for sure. read more

This restaurant is fabulous! I am a very picky eater and this is my number one favorite restaurant in Texas. Everything is fresh, natural, and healthy. I was referred to So Natural by a friend because she and I are trying to cut red meats and processed foods out of our diet. I ordered the veggie burger and fries. The food was mediocre at best. The burger was crispy throughout and relatively tasteless. The fries were undercooked and poorly seasoned. The atmosphere is cold and clinical. All white with metal furniture and a few chalk boards. I'm giving 2 stars based upon the service which I felt was generous though came across as disingenuous. I won't be coming back but you may have a better experience! read more

Definitely got the Mom and Pop shop service. When we entered they were completely full from what looked to have been a work lunch outing. Which for us was a great sign, we checked out the shelf area first and they had a great selection of a couple different organic items. When we finally made it around to the counter we were asked if we had any special diet restrictions and she began listing a couple. Which for us was a surprise because we hadn't heard that before but knowing they cater to different diets was neat to know. We were there specifically to just check out their vegetarian options, which was all good. We did have to wait a bit for the food but nothing to really discredit them about since it's all made fresh. read more

Freaking amazing! They really know their stuff here! Luvina and her daughter were working when I got here. I ordered a burger on Paleo almond bread and got a side of baked sweet potato fries. My dad ordered the daily special: meatloaf with cornbread, gluten free mac and cheese, and Paleo chili. Oh my gosh - I could have eaten that chili for two weeks straight. Everything was AMAZING. For dessert, we shared the chocolate vegan cheesecake- which was to die for, and the Paleo chocolate chip cookie- classic! Again, I could have had it again and again! The owner, Luvina, came over and talked to us for a while about their goal for healthy, sustainable, organic food. It was so nice to hear her talk about her passion, and she obviously cares a LOT about the people she serves. EAT HERE! read more

Stopped in for what ever vegan options this clean food restaurant had to offer. We went for the Caesar salad, veggie burger and sweet potato fries. It was really good. The ginger lemonade was also really good and comes with refills. The owner was awesome and is a veteran, so that's extra cool points for us. I highly recommend this place. They have non-vegan options too which I'm sure are also great. read more

Had lunch with a friend today. They had a small menu selection, I ordered the chicken sandwich with gluten free bread and baked fries and a drink this costed me $15 for myself alone. I couldn't imagine how expensive it would be bringing a whole family. Each item is sold separately instead of a combo like most places. so the prices really add up. When the final total came out I was shocked at how steeped the price was. Yikes! Also, the so called "market" portion of the place really didn't have much. my pantry has more stuff, it was kinda sad. But on a better note, Our waitress was very nice and offered us free samples of some items on their menu while we waited for our meals, which was awesome. My chicken sandwich was also delicious. read more
