So Good Korean Barbecue Restaurant features great Korean barbecue, attentive service, and a comfortable and attractive setting. According to my family, So Good may be slightly more expensive than the average Korean BBQ restaurant, but in my opinion this is still a worthwhile experience. The food at So Good is delicious. We ordered three marinated meats, which included a free selection under the special. The clear stand out for us was the bulgogi. It was juicy and nicely marinaded. On a personal note, I think this is the first time I've had bulgogi served as it should be. It is commonly served at Korean restaurants, but is often overcooked. We also ordered a spicy stew, and enjoyed the standard sides that come with the food. Overall this was a great meal. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. If you haven't tried Korean BBQ, keep in mind that the meat is cut and grilled at the table. Our server was polite and efficient with her tasks. She cooked and distributed the meat without disturbing us. Additionally, she refilled our drinks and checked throughout to see if we needed anything else throughout. I'm trying to get across that being a server in a Korean BBQ restaurant is no easy task and this person excelled at it. The look of the restaurant is upscale and appealing. Inside there is plenty of room between tables, which is unusual for a Korean BBQ restaurant and makes for a comfortable experience. This was our second time to So Good and we will definitely be back. So Good left me Soooooo Disappointed. Now I know it's Covid time and certain things are different, but taking and accepting my 8:00pm reservation and not honoring it at the time has nothing to do with Covid dinning policies. I've been here before so I know they know the amount of seating that can be allowed. I walked in the restaurant at 7:56pm. 3 parties were currently waiting and I'm not sure if they had reservations and or what time they may have reserved. What I did observe was of the total available seating only one table look to be ending dinning around the time of 8pm. That table left at 8:05pm and one of the parties took that seating. The restaurant went ahead and opened another table that had a sign that it was closed due to table spacing, but they opened it for one of the other parties that were waiting. It's now 8:25pm. No table looks to be finishing soon, and it will almost be going on 30 minutes past my reservation time. I find it unacceptable and if they can't manage the timing of reservations either don't allow reservations or maybe be a take out only place. read more

This was "so good." It's so bad these days. Was great when it first opened but has gone downhill. My number one complain is you will never get the meat that you order. This has happen over my last three visits. Originally thought it was a language barrier but I think they purposely give you a "cheaper" cut of meat. Not only will they give you a cheaper cut, they will still charge you for the more expensive cut. You don't get what you pay for. Next, the seafood pancake is a joke. There is just a touch of seafood in it. Lucky if you two shrimp or squid in it. The pancake is the size of a small personal pan pizza. Our family of five order over four meats and three other entrees, they provide minimal side dishes. Other restaurants in Pal Park would have given double small side dishes. What is a family of five going to do with a small dish of kimchi. For this price, I can go back to Pal Park where the is better food and service. I think it time to move on. Tried this place for the first time tonight and it was very, very delicious. The reason for not five stars because the food does deserve it is because when we got there we explained we'd never been there before and the waitress just walked away and left us to figure it out for ourselves. Also the chicken we got wasn't very good but everything else was very delicious. Also I don't think they have anything else to drink than water and it is a little expensive. But Monday through Thursday right now they're doing a special, buy two get one and it was perfect for three of us. We also got an appetizer, the beef wontons, oh my goodness so good! This place is awesome. I went with my family and grandparents and it was very fun. The food follows an authentic Korean menu, but it is prepared a little more American style. Everything was a little but sweet and not that spicy, so that is something to keep in mind. They also do not sell alcohol. When I walked in ,the atmosphere did not feel like a kbbq place (which are usually very worn down and dirty). The seating is very spacious too. The dipping sauces have perfect amount of flavor and the waitresses are friendly and sure know how to cook meat. I was shocked to see that people were complaining about this place on Yelp but people should know what a soft opening is before they judge a restaurant and so far I think the reviews are pretty inaccurate since I always see it packed on the weekends when I drive pass it. I wanted to try other dishes but since it was still their soft opening week we only had their bbq, but they told us that they are planning on bringing in their full menu soon with jjigae (Korean stew), nengmyun (my FAVVV), and even SHABU SHABU (hot pot)!!!!!! This is possibly my favorite Korean place in town. It's always extremely consistent with food and service. It's never too busy which is a plus. The "dumplings" (for lack of better word) are delicious. I always get the kalbi when I go, and it never disappoints. It's always tender, fantastically seasoned, and cooked to my liking. I really liked this spot for Korean food and Korean BBQ. I ordered the "Gotsal" beef cut, which was well-marbled, savory, and worth the price. The marinated pork,dumplings, and japchae were all quite good and not overly salty. You also get an endless supply complimentary side dishes. The only reason I give So Good a 4/5 is because of the service, which was good; the waiting staff was very attentive to our needs, but it seemed obvious that they are still working on fine-tuning their service. This is such a big disappointment. The interior is great and relatively hip for a korean bbq place. However, the pricing and lack of menu options is a huge turnoff. The side dishes are bland and their set menu for 2 portions is 98.99. We were in shock and asked different waitresses if the set menu was 2 portions worth. Most korean bbq restaurants give soybean stew or some other service when you order the bbq meat but this place doesn't and you have to order everything separately.
