Potential Customers - Read this review before considering purchases from this store. You won't believe how poorly we were treated. Consider, with your hard earned dollars, insisting on good customer service and shop elsewhere. Let me first say, that I'm a mother of two teenage daughters and when we discovered Chocolate we were thrilled. My daughters' school has 4 formal to semi-formal dances per year. By the time both daughters would graduate from high school that would be 32 dresses, plus accessories, plus alternations. I think by any standard I would be a good customer! This weekend our intention was to purchase a prom dress. We made several sections - yes, probably 7 to 8 dresses, but it's prom! You have to try things on to know what you will want. All the dresses we selected were between $150 - $200. Again, good customer, right? When we made our way to the dressing room, we were informed that a 'new policy' prevented trying on more than 3 dresses per day! And that if we wanted to try on more than that an appointment would be needed. What?!!?? I asked the lady if she remembered me and that we have bought many dresses here. Yes, she replied. We tried 3 dresses on and left the store with potential selections sitting untried on the rack. Further to this LUNACY, was that the store was empty. Every dressing room was OPEN. Not a single person trying on dresses. I won't be back - ever!!! As a business person, I can't understand policies that prevent customers from purchasing your products. Management - I say to you directly... what are you thinking? Why would you ever turn away a paying customer? A customer that already has a known track record of making purchases in your store. If you need to deal with people camping out and trying on dress after dress and not purchasing, do that. esta política es una locura!

The manager was very friendly and accommodating. I appreciated everyone helping me with this exchange. They didn't have the same item I wanted but found a similar one. I also love that there are a decent amount of guys working at this location and not just all females. My biggest grip relates to the smaller feet girlies who are a size 6.5 or smaller, and I am the smaller. They tend to only stock one pair of smaller sizes, so if you don't get that golden coveted pair, forget it! They do have the option of ordering a pair online for you, or you can go online yourself, IF the have available what you are looking for but you don't know if you are going to like them or how they fit and if you are looking to walk away with shoes in hand then you are SOL. Also, it is disappointing that DSW has changed their clearance section pricing to only 30% off instead of the former 20-60% range. I found several pairs of so called clearance prices "marked down" but they literally had the exact same shoes on the main floor with the normal price the same as the "clearance" price. Scam!

The item had a good rating on the site, from 20 reviews. The materials listed for the item were 96% steel and 4% plastic. The item had decorative end caps that hid the rubber feet that hold it against the wall. The 4% plastic that comprises the item was the entirety of the end caps. They were extremely thin, extremely brittle plastic. The lone item was shipped to me in a box that could have contained a quantity of 3-4 of this item. No bubble wrap or any kind of protective packaging was included and thus the item arrived with a fragile end cap destroyed. It turns out that all 20 of the reviews on the site were provided by people who received the item for free, as part of a promotion from a website called influenster.com in exchange for their review. When I set up a return for the item there was seemingly no option to request a replacement (not that I wanted another), and I was informed that $8.00 would be deducted from my refund to pay for the return shipping. This item was garbage that was overpriced at $24.99 or even the $19.37 that I'll be getting back. It was such a bad shopping experience that I sincerely feel like I was scammed. I will never do business with JCPenny again.

We finally got that squared away and pen marks where the holes should be. The piercer goes in for piercing number one... and gets her GLOVE stuck in with the earring, and then rips it out, pulling my daughters' ear along with it. I figure it's just terrible luck so I let her go for number 2. She pierces the second ear and says "OOPS!"-- the piercing was NOT on the mark where the center of the lobe should be. Now my daughter is panicking and crying because the piercer is very anxious, and offers to re-do the piercing on the spot because, she is so sorry that she "screwed it up." Try convincing a 7 year old that they need to have the second botched hole RE-pierced! It didn't happen, so we paid a crap ton of money (but don't worry, we could come back and have them re-pierced anytime!! HA!) and left with one bloody ear piercing and one uneven ear piercing. Then after we followed Claire's instructions and were allowed to change the earrings, we couldn't get the new earring in one of the holes, and then couldn't even get the original earring back in. So we let both holes close up because it was too painful to force the one in. Claire's stinks! Burn your money instead.

There are glass bangles sold for both adults and children here, as well as clothes, and fabrics for a one-of-a kind outfit. The jewelry sold ranges from nice, fancier pieces, to smaller, everyday wear. The store owner was willing to help customers, but it did seem like a lot of the visitors were there to see the beautician, Kiran. I accompanied my cousin as she had a hair and makeup appointment with Kiran on a Saturday afternoon. My cousin brought her clothes with her that she planned on wearing that night as well as the jewelry needed. This was good as it made getting ready a lot easier. It did slightly bother and annoy me that my cousin paid ~$200, but because Kiran was the only beautician available, every 20-30 minutes, my cousin's work would be interrupted so that Kiran could do someone's eyebrow threading. This all worked out in the end, but what if my cousin had a shorter timeline for the work to be done in? I would have wanted the salon to ensure that another staff member was there to take care of walk-in appointments. I'll be honest, I did not feel Kiran took too many suggestions from my cousin and did more of what she wanted than what my cousin wanted. I also felt that because she kept losing time on the walk-in appointments, Kiran rushed through some of my cousin's procedure. Ex: Nails could have used another coat of polish, lashed should have been trimmed because they looked very unnaturally long, the eyebrows were colored in too dark... My cousin just kept being told that it was too late to make any changes. Kiran also did my cousin's henna/mehndi the night before and did a pretty great job with the designs. Kiran was very nice and I do know she works hard (standing on her feet the whole day), but if the day was any busier than it was, I don't think it's fair to charge such a fee if time is not just dedicated to one client.
