I was greeted at the door, led to a chair, and spoiled, while Paul measured my feet, checked the stock for different sizes and styles, assisted me with trying on different shoes and kept track of my purchases while I browsed the store for more. Paul was so kind & professional. He listened to my concerns, asked thoughtful questions about where & why I'd be wearing my new shoes, and found me two sets of shoes made from high-quality leather that are made to last. He couldn't answer basic questions about sizes and had no idea how to even get me into a boot. Any boot. My experience at Mud, Sweat, and Gears was completely different. An experienced skier who is even familiar with offerings at ski lodge in the Pacific Northwest identified not only why I wasn't able to get into most boots, but what features were necessary for me to find a good fit. He set me up with new boots that have adjustable calf section and room for high arches, then customized them with a heal lift and custom insoles. Thank you!!!

On-line (Amazon or Discount dance) is ok for accessories and if you are sure of the fit of your clothing/ dance tights and leotards. For shoes specifically we don't think it wise to Internet order. Going into her 11th year of formal dance classes, my teen daughter was excited to get her first pointe ballet slippers. A true ballerina! She was a bitty 4 year old baby ballerina when she started. We shopped at Baileys earlier this week. The young lady who waited on us was helpful. She brought out several pairs of pointe ballet shoes (the kind that allows the ballerina to stand on her toes - ouch) for my daughter to try. Each one fit a bit differently. I hope my daughter will enjoy her new pointe shoes and find them comfortable. The shoes, plus inserts and ribbons all came to $143 approximately. Not cheap. Dance, like any sport, has related expenses.

When I asked the fellow who was waiting on us, he showed us tights, fitted her for slippers, and said she needed toe separators and toe pads. The tights ($11 each) had runs in the the first time she wore them. The toe separators weren't necessary for a first time dancer. The slippers were too small And the toe pads ($28) weren't necessary. My total bill was over $100. When I attempted to return the toe pads (unused and in original package) the owner refused, stating it was beyond their return policy deadline. There was absolutely NO consideration, in spite of the other problems stated above. I will never set foot in this shop. Because of their location, they probably cater to the rich, and $28 probably doesn't mean anything to them. BEWARE OF THEIR RETURN POLICY ... YOU WON'T WIN!

I had a really great experience here three times in a row. I am just getting back into tennis and…read morevisited JB's to check out their consignment rackets. I was really happy with the selection of gently used rackets. Everyone who helped me here was very helpful about fitting me with the right racket. You are allowed to demo rackets for $1.50 per day per racket, all of which is refunded back to you if you end up buying one. I tried out two rackets and brought them back the next day and bought one of them that seemed to work out well for me. They were able to remove the overgrip wrapping and re-wrap with fabric wrap which made the racket a tad smaller and nicer to grip. I was really satisfied with all the time they took to help me w/ my buying process. Looking forward to checking out the rest of their apparel and merchandise as soon as I get a little better at the sport! Thanks, JB's, for a great experience.
