Very odd experience. Came to buy specific shoes and the employee was uninterested. Found the sizes and walked away. Didn't come back to see how they fit or anything. Baffling. Asked one employee who was walking by and she said "I can't help but can find someone who can". She didn't. I eventually flagged down another employee who did help. Very odd. Wouldn't recommend coming here for sneakers, especially if you'll need help. I came here for training/gym sneakers. Website said this location had 6 pairs in stock that met that criteria - 4 Nike and 2 New Balance. Get to the store, and every sneaker aisle is basically labeled as "running". Took several minutes to find an associate because none of them were wearing uniforms, name tags, or anything else to denote them as an associate. Once I finally found one to ask where the cross-trainers were, of course they were in one of the aisles labeled "womens running". I also poked around womens apparel but even the clearance prices were pretty high. So overall, if you need something that you can get elsewhere, I would recommend doing so. read more

The whole country seems to be full of Dick's these days. And here's another one, located at the Boulevard Mall in Spamherst, which is where 83% of world email spam is generated. I don't like Dicks at all (although Barbie would tell you I love them) probably because the employees seem to take after the name of the franchise and partly because they usually don't have exactly what I want, and then there's the enormous hunting sections, yeah, like that's a sport, ew. Another reason I really don't like Dick's are the prices. In fact that's the main reason because everything is literally two to five times the price that it should be. That's really disgusting. I don't know how they can stay in business charging those prices, but they are going to get some people with more money than they know what to do with shopping here, and I've even done so in the past when I was desperate. But the worst thing about this specific location is that it was built on top of the food court which had some of my favourite food places in the whole city. So I'm always going to be biased against it. But even aside from that - the pricing and service are enough to earn the dreaded one star. read more

Nothing fancy here, just a normal Dicks Sporting goods store. It's not unlike any other Dicks you've ever been too, aside from the excess of Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabre's gear. But I mean, when in Rome, right? Right. This one is on the back side of the Boulevard. Probably by request, as Dicks usually like the access to the rear. Or maybe it's just because there were already too many Dicks on the boulevard and it was deemed inappropriate. Like this review. Anyways, stopped in to pick up a few things. Taking our son to the batting cages this afternoon but he needed a helmet with a guard for protection. R.J. was awesome! Even though his tag said Football is my passion, he was very knowledgeable about my questions regarding the baseball helmets and he had great suggestions to give us before purchasing the helmet. I got to say, I am EXTREMELY impressed with their Curbside Pickup. I ordered a bike online, got a confirmation email within the hour saying it is ready for pickup- get to the store, you "check in", within minutes, the guy came out and loaded the bike in the car. This process was so quick, quicker than if I was shopping in the store. read more

This store is located in the old food court of the Boulevard mall. They did a really nice job renovating it, and it still attaches to the rest of the mall. This location is a fair size, with clothing for kids to adults. They have some equipment, though not as much as larger locations. They have shoes for adults and kids, though I could not find any for my preschool-age daughter. When I am in the area, this is a good place to go for sports wear. read more

Been going to Dick's my entire life and never a bad experience until recently. My mother and I decided to check out the North Face section so I could pick out one for my birthday. Within 5 seconds, a sales associate (brunette in her 30s) appeared and asked if we needed help. We told her we were just browsing but thanks but she didn't leave. She started going through boxes of clothes nearby and we continued shopping. At some point she was pulled away and an older male associate (appeared to be in his 60s) came over in her place but just stood there in the middle of the walkway staring at us. No, didn't say hi or ask any questions, literally just stared at us as we shopped. Does that sound like a comfortable experience? It wasn't. I couldn't believe it. I ended up leaving, telling my mom that I didn't want to patronize a store where its associates were making us uncomfortable by how blatantly they watched us. He responded by saying he wasn't watching us but that was a complete lie (and if there's any footage from store cameras, it wouldn't support his claim). The whole incident was ridiculous! So, we'll never be back! Stinks that one incident had to ruin it. I've been spreading the word - don't want anyone else to go through that. read more

The literal worst retail I have had in my life. I swear experiences like this are the reason that in-person retail is going to die. The employees are rude, refuse to help, had their masks hanging half off their faces while interacting w me, and actually lied to me about corporate policy regarding pricing. Forgot to mention that the older cashier whom I assumed from her attitude was head cashier treated me like cattle. Instead of politely asking ME if I would please move to the side so as not to hold up customers waiting to check out, she completely ignored me and instructed my cashier to tell me to move aside. Went to Dick's at Blvd. Mall looking for a specific scope mount for my gun. There was no one in the hunting and fishing section so I pressed the customer service button on the counter. After waiting 20 minutes no one showed. I went to the check out section and was told the person working that section never showed up for work. Very poor way to run a business and I will think twice about ever going back to Dick's for any future purchases! read more

Walked in excited to find a bike and ready to spend money. Couple of store employees walked past but didn't ask if I needed help. Found the bike department - one customer, 3 employees - waited 10 minutes and was never acknowledged. Won't be back. Brick and mortar stores complain about losing all their business to the internet and maybe this is why. Don't underestimate the loyalty that good customer service can create. read more
