On the outside part of the mall, near Sketchers, is this Famous Footwear. I feel like its a little…read moresmaller than some toehrs, but I'm not sure. It is wells tocked, like others. rows on rows of boxes with shoes. Some famous brands, some less famous ones. All sizes. There are plenty of spots to sit and try shoes on. A-OK

However, when I reach the front of the store, the woman who worked there behind the counter, stated that someone sure was trying on all of the slides. I left the store and proceeded to call her and let her know that it was very rude for her to say that right in front of me and then I tried my best to put them back the way I know how but I have a hard time sitting shoes on my feet so I have to try a lot on. I went to the store two days ago to purchase sneakers, and they were too big on me. I went back to the store and tried on a different size, and then those again, and kept repeating to see which size was more comfortable. I bought the shoes up to the register and she pushes passed my boyfriend to get shoe cleaner. Apparently there was a red mark on the bottom of the shoe and she said she needed to clean them because they were clearly worn. I told her I did not wear them. Maybe the bottoms got dirty from me trying them on in the store, but I didn't even wear them because they would've gave me blisters because they were too big. Then she told me they were definitely worn and I told her maybe it was from the people before me or from the floor at the store, she continued argue with me and was nasty. I have no had two incidents with this woman who works there. Her name is Stephanie. She should not be working with the public. I very rarely complain about someone but she is nasty every time I go in there and I sometimes still go in if the other nice woman isn't there working. the funny thing is when I first bought the sneakers. I told the other lady I was so glad she was there because the other lady is always nasty well lo and behold here she was being nasty again when I went back to exchange.

It's one of the things I have started to do on my travels. I looked up ahead of time to see if there was a location nearby and I was in luck. This is one of the shops inside the fashion outlets that do not have the same hours as the mall itself. They are one store that opens before the mall does and, from what I was told, one of the few that stays open after the closing times. I came in, and appeared to be the first customer of the day. They had a sale on the graphic tees. I grabbed two to get the deal and continued onto the clearance rack. I grabbed another shirt and headed to the registers. When I got to the register and she was a delight. She was very knowledgeable of the items they have in the store and about the general area. We chatted a bit about everything and anything. I even asked if there were any Columbia stores in the area I was heading to next. It was a refreshing take on shopping.

Her name is Torya and you can tell she liked her job by the way she treats her customer- yes, me. What an absolute delight. I also walked out with a great jacket that was on sale - really great selection of goods and really terrific deals ... it was a good day for me.

I've always wore Keen boots practically all of my adult life, and almost always the same type: the…read moreTarghee model, and have had nothing but great results wearing it in almost all situations around the world: walking hiking and exploring in Palma de Mallorca, the too-many streets and calles of all parts of Spain, in Sweden and Norway, the hot streets of Morocco and Alexandria, Egypt and the pyramids, Germany, and in other places/cities like up and down too many streets of New York City, and too many other countries, as I love hiking and walking any and everywhere, and in all sorts of extreme weather! For example: in London alone in the early 70s, I walked 10miles to see the Tower Bridge, then walked back to a rented room. In Mallorca, I took the tren to Puerto de Soller, saw a mountain, then climbed it and snapped a pix, then discovered, oh, there's a road! I've been wearing Keen boots for more years than I can remember. So recently when the lug that holds the shoelace cracked in half, I looked high and low online for a shoe shop that could fix my boot. Finding this little shop wasn't too much of a problem, and after giving him the shoe, he looked at it, then simply asked when I wanted it done. If you want it fixed tomorrow, then it will be done tomorrow. WoW!! I was impressed! I'll be picking it up in a few days. Will update when it's picked up in a few days! UPDATE: Perfect work done and very quick! I told him when I dropped it off that I'll pick it up over the weekend, about four days later. He said okay. Actually I think I went during a chore to pick it up on Wednesday; not only was it ready, it looked as good as new! Impressed and happy were the emotion felt upon seeing the shoe!!

Boy was I wrong. I was beyond impressed. A small black decorative patch that matched another design elsewhere on the boot was applied. And it looked like it belonged there. I was overjoyed with the results. This "Cobbler" is an artisan not just a shoe repairer. Highly recommend. And totally affordable.
