Well Dicks is always good. Buying golf clubs you need to know your stuff. Mt hubby did a lot if research and knew what he wanted. He had to find someone to get his irons and he bought a driver but they never gave him the packet that comes with it. Thank God he inspected everything and went back to get it I would suggest going elsewhere if you don't know about what you are buying for gokd. The workers do not have enough experience to be selling golf clubs. Disappointed but they still got our business. read more

This is an okay place to look for sporting related needs. The prices are sometimes a little high for me but if you buy on sale that can help. They do have a fairly large variety of equipment, with some selection being better depending on the sport. They usually do a nice job of keeping the lines moving even when there are a lot of people in the store. read more

This is the place if you need all your sporting or camping needs. DSG's carrys name brand gear such as Nike, Adidas's and others. They carry a large assortment of clothes for men, women and children. You can also get your bicycle gear and repairs here as well. This huge place is truly a one stop shop, for every sport or outdoor activities. read more

Bought a pair of baseball gloves for my grandson last summer and they told me to get the insurance for $8.99 because I would get a free pair of gloves the next year. Well I inquired about that. What a joke. Not worth all the run around you have to do plus I gave them the info and my e mail they said they would get back to me right away. Well that didn't happen. Never got anything. So don't buy the extra insurance on them. I also did that for his hockey gloves also. Waste of money!!!! read more

Went to the mall to buy a new pair of sneakers. I parked outside of Dick's because this was one of the places I wanted to look. I've been here multiple times. Never have had a problem. Went to the shoe section. Looked at some. There is a decent selection for men's shoes. I wanted Nike running shoes. A worker asked if I needed help. I said I was just looking for now. I narrowed it down to two pairs. Tried them on and picked a pair. The prices are usually the same for Nike shoes no matter where you go unless there's a sale or coupons. Dick's has that more than other sneaker stores at the mall. There were some on sale but decided to pick a pair that wasn't. Had to splurge some because it's been a bit since my last new pair of sneakers! Checked out, lady at the register was nice and had me enter in my phone number since I forgot my score card. read more

I placed an order on Dick's website and decided to chance next day delivery, for which I paid $9.99, and gave a $5 tip, as suggested. After I clicked submit, then it popped up that they use Door Dash drivers. Surprise, surprise, I got someone else's order the next day. When contacted, Dicks online refunded everything, EXCEPT the $9.99 deliver fee or the $5 tip. I'm hoping I get an email to review my delivery to let them know exactly what I think of their delivery services. And I intend to contact corporate office as well regarding this issue. Huge sporting goods store. 2 levels. Bottom has the equipment like weights and treadmills. And football helmets. Dart boards. And of course clothing and footwear. Upstairs has ladies clothing and bikes. And cold weather gear. And hunting outfits. And fishing poles. I don't see much rhyme or reason to the layout but it's probably determined by an expensive marketing team to generate the most possible revenue. They sell fitbits here and if you already have one you may hit you steps walking here looking for whatever you went in for. This store is large and while it probably does have what you want, you may run out of time looking for it. I've been up and down all the Dicks in WNY and this is my least favourite Dick that I've experienced. The reason why is simply that it is often sold out of stuff because it seems to be busier than the other two, being part of the Galleria. Also they seem to have a "Mall Premium" and are more expensive for some things than the one on Transit. But then again so is the one in Amherst. The service here has always been fine, but it's just not a Dick's that ever gets me hooked up with what I need. However a lot of the Mall stores are overpriced and overrated so I'm not going to diss Dicks further by giving them a 1. I do prefer the other kind, though. If you know what I mean. read more

I had placed an order right as the stores started closing and there was an option of curbside pick up so I figured I would try it. It took me a few days to pick up the order because I was hesitant to have any contact with people or items during the outbreak but it was the last day to pick up before my order was cancelled. When I ordered there was a confirmation email that said once you are at the location, you click the button to notify the store you are there which I did. Within minutes my order was brought out and I opened asked the associate to place the item in the back of my suv to limit contact which she gladly did and with a smile on her face. While I didn't need this item right now, I still wanted to try and support our businesses during the hard times and I'm glad to see that they have a great process in line that helps keep customers safe but also helps keep their business running. read more

This location is large, and has by far the biggest selection. There are two sets of registers downstairs, and another set upstairs as well. Today it was exceedingly busy, but the staff were all super patient, friendly, and pleasant to talk to. We found what we were looking for (which was great because we had been to 3 different stores- not just Dick's). They had a ton of good sales today, which truthfully isn't always the case. I very rarely shop at a Dick's Sporting Goods because they're very pricey in my opinion. This one is ok. It's large like most and has just about anything you need for outdoor gear and attire. It's also clean and bright as to be expected. I've been to this Dick's a couple of times. I'm assuming it was a company thing, but when my husband and I visited during a winter month still, Dick's had removed all winter gloves from their shelves for the season (an employee told us). We found this to be surprising. A couple of days ago we visited again in search of Sorel (winter) boots (initially forgetting they had removed winter gloves from their shelves months ago) and were surprised to find 4 different Sorel boot styles and all at FULL PRICE. Dick's has every name brand item to fit your sporting needs. It comes with a price though, a fairly large one. If you aren't looking to spend a lot of money on sporting equipment or apparel, then I suggest you shop elsewhere. I was going skiing one afternoon and needed to purchase some clothing since my usual gear was locked up in my sister's apartment. (Not important, point is, I needed ski apparel just to get me through the day) I needed a myriad of things; goggles, ski leggings, snow pants, gloves, ski jacket, under armour and warm socks. It wasn't possible to find a ski jacket under $120, nor was it possible to find snow pants under $110. I was super surprised. The ski leggings I purchased were $80, and those were cheap compared to the other styles I saw. They had a sale rack, but the racks were filled with summer clothes. Their selection of women's ski jackets were minimal too. I wish they had a section for off brand apparel. There are two floors to this Dick's and the women assisting me or should I say her attempt to assist me was very cold. I asked her to point out the dressing room and her first response was, "Oh, you're not bringing all of those things in there." So inviting, so warm, so friendly. If I wasn't in dire need of ski clothes I probably would have just walked out. She brought me to the dressing room after looking me up and down with such a judgmental stare. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable. You can only bring 6 things into the dressing room at a time, completely fair! She disappeared immediately after opening the door for me and i was glad that she did. Finally, I made it down to the cashier and my total came to $520 for the cheapest selections I could find. I subtly (okay maybe not so subtly) inquired with the cashier to see if he had any coupons considering I was a Dick's Rewards Member, and well, just dropped mad money here. He said nope and I swiped my card. After swiping, he realized he forgot to ring me up for my goggles. He apologized and said he would give me 25% off the goggles. Oh, so you do have a coupon? I was very thankful for this and I watched him type in a discount of 10% off. What? You just said 25%, but you really put in 10%. That bothered me. Don't lie to me MAN. Unfortunately they were also all sold out of women's snow boots when I came in. Ultimately, the quality of everything I purchased was great. You really are getting what you pay for, but there are just other stores that offer quality clothes for a much cheaper price. read more

I'm starting to feel like the only benefit to having Dick's Sporting Goods around is that there are so many, because I fail to find any good qualities with these stores these days. My most recent experience was at the Walden Galleria location. I approached a couple of kids (workers) that were having a personal conversation about what birthday party they should go to, or what shoes they should wear to homecoming, or whatever. When I walked up, they both ensured they finished their oh-so-important conversation, then one Doofus turned to me: DOOFUS: What's up? ME: Your stupid haircut, but I'm sure you're aware. Could you point me towards the hiking socks? DOOFUS: I think they're in the middle of the store, somewhere. ME: Thank you for your uselessness. DOOFUS: (Emojis for thumbs up & smiley face) The Doofus was right that there was a small amount of socks somewhere in the center of the store, but then I found that there is no central location for all the socks together in the store. Instead, they're scattered all throughout and there is no set brand/type/size section. After all this, I checked the gift card I was trying to get rid of in my pocket, learned there was only $25 on it anyways and decided to call it a day. I'll stop back in at some point and get a shirt, or something, and probably not set foot in Dick's again. I think I'd rather throw up down my pants and walk 15 miles uphill without the proper socks then stomach a Dick's shopping experience again. Boy... do I miss Galyans... read more

Yes - I've always liked browsing through this chain - no matter where I am and this location was no different. They seem to carry a large selection of merchandise and the prices vary as much! The sales are incredible, but once again - Clearance issues always tick me off. The staff seem nice enough, but I normally have the opposite problem here - instead of pushy sales people - I always have to go looking for someone, but I still enjoy the "shop" here! read more

They are centrally located right by a parking lot which is great if you don't want to feel like you are at a mall. They have a wide variety of sporting goods, accessories & clothing. The staff is alwayss helpful. Prices are decent and they do have a rewards program as well read more

Bought a golf club onilne. The next morn I get an email from Dicks offering free shipping for any online purchases but they won't honor my purchase because it was submitted the day before. Really? I would give a zero if it allowed me, went to the golf area to get fitted for new irons. I asked for a fitting and the golf "pro" there who did fittings was interested until I asked what the cost was if I didn't buy the irons there.(which I still might have) He told me $50 and then started getting short with me...said ohh yeah I actually can't do it because the fitting tool for those clubs isn't in yet...it was an obvious lie and he was just brooming me. He denied me a club fitting and then said very cocky to me like I was a two year old "all clubs are the same price anywhere you go just so ya know" which is of course not true. Overall a very arrogant and belittling experience as if I was a peasant to him and disappointing because I drove over an hour to get fitted there. read more

I went to the store in order to buy some things in preparation for mountain hiking this fall. I intended to buy gloves, shoes, and possibly a windbreaker and some other items. Unfortunately, with the exception of some people manning the cash register, and one or two people in the Golf section of the store, I saw not one single employee that I could ask for assistance. After walking around the store twice I figured I'd be better off going somewhere else where employees could lend their expertise to helping me make my purchases. read more
