Most recently, I stopped in to return a sweater/sweatshirt I was gifted for Christmas that happened to be about 25 sizes too large. I opted for store credit mostly due to the fact I would be traveling and my suitcases were at capacity. I saw a lot of things I would have enjoyed a lot more than a sweatshirt that was 25 sizes too large for me but oh well. I am grateful the return process was a breeze and to have the store credit to buy something I find value in. All that to say, the service was great; no questions asked about my return and I was in and out quickly. My takeaway from browsing has always been great selection, great prices.

Beautiful store and friendly staff. Amazing checkout process where you put the items in the bag while waiting and when you go up to pay you just put the entire bag in a holder and it scans everything at one and gives you the total. It's cashless so you have to pay via Apple Pay or card. Boom, done in just seconds. Loved it. Very high tech.

The bag goes in, the total appears, and suddenly you're questioning whether wizards, genies, or extremely intelligent raccoons are now employed at Highmark. I don't know what kind of engineering sorcery went into this system, but whoever invented it definitely got an A+ and a handshake from the professor. And now for the important stuff -- this store has everything. Official everything. Shirts. Hoodies. Jackets. Hats. Scarves. Pants. Seasonal gear. Game-day pins. Things you didn't know you needed but will absolutely leave with anyway because your inner Bills fan whispered, "Do it. We deserve this." And yes -- it feels good shopping here. Since it was mid day on a work day the store was empty.We were immediately greeted and treated as if our presence really mattered. Our salesperson was friendly and really knew his bikes. We were looking for a very specific item and were having trouble locating it. The bike would have to have coaster brakes only and no gears. He had a great knowledge of his inventory and took us right to the limited selection he did have. We explained my wife's limited mobilty and he found the perfect one for her. After a "test drive" we finally found the one we needed. Since the health insurance would not be sending us the money for a few days, we asked for a layaway. Amazingly they still offered layaway and there was no problem setting it up. Our entire visit was pleasant, the selection was impressive and the store was immaculate. This is a business that knows how to treat customers and offers reasonable prices. It is worth a trip here.

This is where Cabela's could do better. However, clothing items are priced well and have lasted many years. Sizing is not always consistent and there are only two fitting rooms in women's/men's departments. often you'll find yourself waiting just to try on items. Also, fitting rooms need to be cleaner with better lighting and 3-way mirrors. All that aside, Cabela's can be quite a joy.

When I returned with the paperwork from county clerk on Tuesday, 8/11/26, John, the employee behind the counter, retrieved the handgun, but claimed he didn't know about the shotgun, so a second background check was required. While the background check was running, he left to help another customer, then disappeared. Two other employees took over the transaction, but there was confusion about what steps had been completed. What should have been a simple 30 minute transaction turned into a 2+ hour wait. Very disappointed in Sportsman's Warehouse, not worth a return trip.
