The manager suggested gel inserts to ease the plantar fasciitis type of pain instead of buying a new pair of sneakers. He said the soles and general condition of my sneakers was good. The $25 inserts are providing some relief. That was nice of them to show me an alternative instead of spending up to $80 in a new pair of sneakers. Next time I need a new pair of shoes I'll be back. It's good to have decent customer service which is hard to find these days.

I think this can improve. The aesthetic of the store was very pleasing! Clean, big, bright, well-organized, easy to find things. Plenty of fitting rooms and chairs for those waiting or to try on shoes. There is a bar with seats that's cute but no one was back there so maybe you have to ask to be served. The prices are on the high end. I picked up some earrings I thought were cute and they were around $200 (not gold or diamond anything). I picked up some shoes I loved, one pair also around $200, another almost $300. A cute little cotton tank top was $38. Now, I do believe the products are adorable and of high quality so I'm not complaining per se, but if you're more of a bargain shopper (or a maxxinista like me) you may not be in the right place. Aside from clothing, shoes, and accessories, there are hair and skin products and candles galore. I would say the best age group for this stores style is 16-25. Fast forward to yesterday when I had to bring the same bike in for repairs (brought on by my daughter-not the bike's fault). Zach was now the one to fix the bike. Zach was great at both explaining what he was doing and taking the time to make sure it was done well. I had to leave the bike overnight but I got a call the next day with an explanation of what was completed as well as the cost. It was far less expensive than I was expecting.

This store was my introduction to the chain and Kohl's cash. Last month, my original plan was to stay in Buffalo. I changed my mind and ended up in Niagara Falls for the first time. However, I had placed an order for pickup at this store, to stroll down memory lane and take advantage of a sale on a pair of Vans sneakers. Sure, I could have found a closer Kohl's, but I wanted to return to where my love for this chain started. My drive was pleasant after work on a Monday evening. It felt the same. I pulled into the parking lot, and was happy to see this store was still alive and kicking. The difference was that Sephora wasn't a part of this Kohl's back then. It was my first time picking up an order here, which was also new to me at this store. I walked in and noticed how clean it was. Spring and gardening merchandise greeted me. It was cheerful and inviting. There were signs pointing me to the washroom and the self-pickup order area. The former seemed like a good idea. The powder area (seems so dated as a term, but it's what I'm going to call it) was pretty, with a flower arrangement in front of a large mirror. The women's washroom was nicely maintained. It was clean. No complaints. I headed over to the self-pickup order area. The process is to find your e-mail indicating that your Kohl's order is ready. You click a link in the message and follow the steps where you say that you're at the store. You then get a pickup spot number to fetch your order. Mine was 265. It clearly had my name labelled on the paper bag with handles. I was happy. I didn't buy anything on top of my pickup order. I did enjoy browsing around to check out fashion trends. I am more of a classic person when it comes to clothing. However, I saw shorter jackets with large pockets being trendy. I probably have a couple of jackets at home that I can pull out and look equally as trendy for a brief moment... haha! I make it a habit to check out purses. I liked everything from floral prints, to heart-shaped purses. The bedroom decor section was a lot of fun. I liked seeing clouds and rainbows as neat pieces. There was a rainbow abacus that was cool, but was sort of broken. I fixed it by placing the metal arc back into a socket in the wooden base. If it weren't that messed up, I would have bought it because it was cool and geeky. It was wonderful returning to this store. I am pleased that it's still standing. It was great shopping here again. I went in to browse around and see if anything sounded good before the start of the football season. That was a mistake for my wallet because everything looked like I needed it. They do a great job of keeping everything organized here. Sabres and Bills stuff in different sections, sports cards and trading cards broken down into different spots on the other side. They also have so much room for the events that they hold here. Along with the amount of product they have, they also have some cool pop culture collectibles on display which makes the whole place have a fun feel. Service here is good. Sometimes the value is a little high. Some markups on trading cards could be a little lower but oh well, that's the sign of the times I guess. Overall, if you need a gift or just looking for yourself, D&A's is the place to go!

INSANE COMPANY WANTS A BANK WIRE FOR PREORDER AFTER INITIAL PAYMENT, USE CAUTION!…read more Ever receive a bank wire request AFTER making a credit card purchase? How about for a presell/preorder item, that isn't in stock yet? That's exactly what happened with Dave & Adam's, absolutely mind blowing. I ordered a presell product on their website, paid with my credit card, received confirmation, thank you for your order; the normal stuff, everything seems fine. The next day, I receive an email with a bank wire request from D&A to complete the order (see attached picture of email). My initial reaction was this must be someone attempting to scam me; a bad actor, but it was actually D&A. Obviously, I told them absolutely not. This not only costs fees (bank wire fees) but is essentially handing them 100% of the money upfront, for a product they do not even have yet! Additionally, like handing them cash money upfront, I assume 100% of the risks, for a product they do not have yet. Imagine going to Best Buy, Walmart, heck even any local retail shop, to make a purchase with your credit card; they accept it, they swipe it, everything is fine, and then they say "actually, can you get with your bank to wire us money instead?" Now imagine the item you're buying doesn't exist yet, you're not only paying full msrp but a bit more in price for their markup, paying bank wire fees, and that ultimately they'll do their best to get it for you. You literally can't make it up, this may be the most insane request I have ever seen a retailer or store do, and I have seen and experienced some interesting things. Be cautious with whom you do business with!
