They have a fairly good selection on the menu (lots of sweet options and lots of savory; also a lot of drinks, coffees, and mimosas too). I definitely appreciate the options for flights/tasting plates. My party had trio of pancakes and I was very tempted to do a coffee flight as well. So solid 4 stars for ambience and service. But the food was largely unimpressive, despite looking amazing. Definitely 5 stars for presentation tho. I had the green chilaquiles....the green sauce was very bland and the eggs were also unflavorful. I also tried the following pancakes: s'mores, lemon blueberry, cookie butter, and chocolate chip. The s'mores looked the best but the chocolate chip tasted the best. I also tried the steak frites which were also just sort of okay. Overall food was 3-4 stars. I think next time I need to try the Bombay scramble bc I have a feeling that's amazing. Fingers crossed!

I asked our waiter for it, and it still never showed up. I then asked a different waitress, and I still never received it. We also never got the toast that came with our meal. What made it even more frustrating was watching the tables around us consistently get coffee refills while we couldn't even get the first cup we ordered. It's disappointing when something as simple as coffee and toast is missed multiple times. The food was okay, but the lack of attentiveness made the overall experience pretty frustrating.

It was packed on a Sunday morning around 11:30am, but we were seated for a table of 8 within 15 mins. Kids menu - yes! Go inside and grab their kids menu, it's not listed on their website or anywhere else, but they do have a kids menu! It wasn't on the menu but we asked for chocolate chip pancakes and they were able to make it for my child. And it was delicious! The veggie bowl scrambled was good, the potatoes had a nice flavor, the veggies cooked perfectly, a little bit too much cheese for my taste but overall it was a great breakfast bowl. Omelettes were all great, and their bowl of fruit had a nice variety of all different things from watermelon to different berries to cantaloupe. Overall we would come back again, the food was fresh and tasted delicious. Employees were nice as well. It was packed and a bit hectic but they did a great job juggling requests and bringing our dishes.

They gave us the option of outdoor seating (which was a bit hot) or waiting about 15 minutes for indoor seating. The wait wasn't bad at all, and we were actually seated sooner than expected. We ordered at the counter, and the food came out pretty quickly. I had the two egg special, and it was a great portion size with plenty of food. If you're looking for a solid breakfast spot, I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try. I'd happily come back again!

My family and I ended up here randomly today (Saturday) after doing a yelp search for lunch. We arrived and it was BUSYYYY, but the wait time was said to be 11-20 minutes. So we decided to wait. Wait time ended up being OVER 30 minutes, but IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT. We almost decided to just walk right over to Kinders, after waiting 30 minutes. But we thought "wth, we've waited this long, let's just wait a bit longer". Finally after almost 40 minutes, we were seated inside. There is no patio seating here and the venue is really small. I wouldn't recommend for groups over 4-5 at the pleasant hill location unless you call to make a reservation in advanced. Though I'm not sure if they take reservations. Anyway, we ordered the following. Kids pancake and fruit. Kids fried chicken & fries + a side of extra crispy bacon. Both kids meals came with an apple juice. Crab Benedict. Chicken and wafffles. Ube pancakes Hot chocolate Thai Iced Tea & an alcohol beverage. The something sour. Can't remember the name but had grapefruit, soju, tajin rim. Damn near EVERYTHING was delicious!! We loved it alllll. Minus the hot chocolate. My kids did not like it, but it wasn't bad. Just not a favorite. On top of the food being yummy! It's all so decently priced. For everything mentioned above, our bill came out to $150. Which to me, in today's world, for 4 people, all of that?! Is not bad at all. I spend more on a less when grocery shopping for two days worth of groceries. We WILL be visiting again!

I went with my father to catch up with him and he was so thrilled with the menu. We ordered some favorites and I treated myself to a Bloody Mary which went perfect with my meal. Breakfast won. I met up with a friend here and I'll admit I was a little hesitant at first. I'm not a huge fan of overly sugary breakfasts, and for some reason I had it in my head that this was more of an Asian-fusion breakfast spot, which isn't really my thing. I was wrong. I ordered the Mexican scramble and it was pretty good. I will say it could have used some more seasonings and sabor especially for being a Mexican scramble. Mmm and how bout some cotija?? Huge portion, however and the hash browns were exactly how I like them; crispyyyy. Obviously I also ordered an espresso martini because... you know me. And my friend and I decided to share the Biscoff pancake. OMG. Listen. I woke up Sunday morning legitimately wondering if they would remember me if I came back two days in a row because I wanted that damn pancake again. It was THAT good. And this is coming from someone who doesn't even really like super sweet breakfast foods or Biscoff for that matter. Fluffy pancake, Biscoff drizzle, cookie crumbles, fruit, butter, syrup on the side... whewww. I'ma need another one this week. My only minor annoyance was the waitlist situation. I put our name down and was told about 10 minutes (they dont take reservations), so we walked around the shops next door. I gave them my phone number AND corrected/confirmed it twice, plus I received the initial text verifying I was on the waitlist. After about 15 minutes with no call or text, I finally walked back over to check. The hostess said, "Oh, we called you." Girl... where?! No missed call, no text, nothing. Thankfully I checked back in instead of continuing to browse. Once we were seated though, everything was great. Our server was hella funny and had us cracking up; especially when my friend ordered a scramble and then started asking how the eggs would be cooked and whether it even came with eggs. Sir was basically like... ma'am, you ordered a SCRAMBLE. LMAOOOO The whole vibe was on point. Music was perfect, decor was fun, everything was clean, and it actually felt like you were hanging out at a Breakfast Club. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised to find this vibe in Lafayette. The area needed a little unstuffing and The Breakfast Club understood the assignment. I'll definitely be back, mainly because that Biscoff pancake and I have unfinished business!

So what better place to dine in to celebrate out 2nd Year Wedding Anniversary at The Hideout Kitchen :) We went for dinner. Our server was KEVIN. Simply...HE IS JUST AWESOME. He knows the menu, he knows the history, and has amazing stories to share with everyone. Great guy. A lot of people there that night seemed to be celebrating something. The noise was a bit loud that I felt I had to almost yell to have a conversation with my husband. But the vibe was great. I enjoyed looking around at the decor. We ordered: - TRUFFLE FRIES for appetizers - I loved everything about it. haha. Tastey! - linguine & clams - I ordered this. It was good. However, I felt it was way oily. And after every bite I took, I had to wipe my mouth. And I accidentally spilled oil on my shirt. - PASTA ALLA CARBONE with steak - My husband enjoyed it and started to get full towards clearing out his bowl haha. - SCALLOPED POTATOES - I ordered a side of this. Definitely was not expecting to look the way it did, but I thought the presentation was beautiful. It was good; however, I was not a fan at how crunchy and hard the top first layer was. In a few areas, it was almost burnt. But I thought it was pretty good without the need for a type of sauce on the side. - For drinks, I had to Summer sangria and my husband had the Rumble in the Jungle. We enjoyed it. Definitely hit the spot. No complaints at all about these drinks. - And Kevin surprised us with a dessert to celebrate : Cranberry Bread Pudding. This was delicious. Very flavorful. I am not really into Cranberry, but this is definitely an exception. Loved the fruits on the side as well. The Hideout Kitchen will always have a place in our hearts. We will definitely come back. We still need to try this place out for Brunch. We need to try their UBE pancakes! hehehe. And thanks Kevin for being amazing that night!

Perhaps it was just me, but the menu didn't offer anything particularly exciting. We ordered the pork belly panini ($22) and a full wedge salad ($19). The pork belly had a crust that was nearly impossible to bite through, so I had to cut it off with a knife, leaving a thin layer of fat. The flavor was underwhelming as well. The blue cheese wedge salad had an unusual flavor that neither my wife nor I enjoyed, and we left most of it. Honestly, even Outback does a better job with their wedge salad. The Parmesan fries were the one standout. The beer selection was quite limited, although they did have a Dustbowl Taco Truck, which is a nice option. A few more beer choices would have been appreciated. On a positive note, Kary provided good service, and we appreciated her attentiveness. Overall, it was a disappointing dining experience, and with so many great restaurants in town, I'm not sure we'd return. I do miss the old Cooperage that used to be here; we always enjoyed it much more.
