Kevin was a Godsend! My grandson and I experienced a flat tire late last night in a rural part of Brentwood. Geico had dispatched 6 tow services, all out if area, all declined service!!!! They told me I could call on my own and they would reimburse me. I called Kevin. He answered right away, was local, calmed my nerves and said he would be right out. He text me to keep me updated on his ETA. He arrived on time, was professional and quick. After repairing the tire, he waited and notified the spare would not hold air and circled back to out my car on his flat bed to tow it home. We had a horrible blow out on our 3500 Chevy Silverado. After contacting both AAA and On Star roadside assistance and waiting 2 hours for their providers to reach us and no one showing up. I began to look for someone that could help us get back on the road. Kevin was making a drop in Oakland and estimated a little over an hour. He kept us updated on his arrival time. I asked for a starting rate she said they didn't have one she said and I quote " "Unfortunately we do not have a starting rate. Each quote is different considering the circumstances of the tow. For example a vehicle being towed fir relocation but runs and drives would be cheaper than a vehicle that does not go into to neutral and has no key because one requires labor the other does not." The experience my Aunt and I had with this company seemed almost Devine. She (My aunt) bought a used trailer from a guy, and in the middle of the journey two studs popped off a tire! It was past 6pm all shops closing or closed! We were in a bad spot on a Main Street, when the owner of this truck blessed us with genuine help! Started off by turning his lights on so we had some sort of safety, and he spent hours of his precious night just making sure we were ok.. This was a situation That appeared to be hopeless several times. Kevin never gave up and continued to help us long after his shift was over, with no guarantee that we could even compensate him. His main concern was getting us to safety. He ended up towing our trailer loaded with our property on it, and making the journey back home for us. My RV's battery was dead and my insurance company would tow it to a local place for service. They called Kevin Lawson, Owner/CEO of Smooth Truckin, to help me. Kevin called me before coming out to ask questions about the situation. He had me send pictures of the engine and RV so he could determine if he could charge the battery or really had to tow it. He was hoping to give me the easiest and best solution, so his questions allowed him to arrive prepared for my saturation. And he was able to charge it! I am a single senior lady and really appreciated his concern since it would have been a hassle to get rides to and from where the RV would have been towed if he hadn't tried to charge it. Plus a lot of time! Kevin was professional, nice, knowledgeable, considerate and explained the workings of what the battery might or might not do. He said he wanted to do whatever he could so I could get on the road quickly. I was so happy I gave him a loaf of pumpkin walnut chocolate chip bread I had made. I ran the RV for a while to charge the battery more, and then shut it off and tried to turn it back on. Silence. The battery made no noise and the RV didn't start. I texted Kevin and told him what happened and he said I probably needed a new battery; and since my battery was only 1 3/4 years old to see if it was still under warranty. Kevin took the time to answer my questions after the service call! And what Great advice! I checked and it was! I got a free battery and was good to go! Kevin offered to come back and help however he could, but I didn't ask him because he lived about an hour away.
