My pieces that I played at home. Very average.
    Carrie G.

The food took about 30 minutes for it to be prepared as it's made fresh. Well it didn't really taste all that fresh either. Sushi rice was very average. Quality a bit below average. The inside is cute. Service is nice. The teriyaki chicken sandwich was perhaps the best thing we got. That had fluffy bread (3 slices served club sandwich style in a cute paper wrapper with cartoons on it). The ahi tuna nigiri was fishy. The slice of ahi was think but it stained the rice slightly red which makes me believe it's dyed. The salmon nigiri was average. The small hosomaki pieces were mostly rice. Unagi was tasty but not heated up all the way. California crunch roll was tasty but mostly covered in crunchy onions. The special inari has ahi, salmon and avocado in a mayo sauce. Nothing tasted fresh. I prefer other fast food sushi spots over this one.

很Q a! Not sure how QQ the Super Q Cafe is, but I can see why it's averaging a solid 4 stars. This place is located along North King Street, near Houghtailing/Waikamilo. More specifically at the corner of North King and Kamenani St. There's no real parking lot, but seems like parking at the far end stalls by Diner's Upscale Hawaii is a-ok. What's here at Super Q Cafe? As the sign shows, there's sushi, milk tea, coffee, sandwich, and musubi! The inside is quite clean and comfortable, and surprisingly quiet. There was just one person working, or I guess he is Mr. Do it all! He took our order and then headed back to prepare our order. There's a lot of choices, and the prices are reasonable and on-par with other places. We just ordered musubis this time, but will definitely comeback to try more! We had the Spam and Avocado, Spam and Tamago, and Salmon "Futomaki". They were prepared very well. Everything was warm. The rice was seasoned and prepared very well with just the right amount of stickiness and looseness. The pieces of spam, tamago, and avocado were thick cuts, and the ratio with the rice was spot on. Adding unagi sauce on top was another small detail that made it better. The Salmon was very good with a nice amount of cooked salmon with well seasoned and moist rice. Adding sesame seeds and scallion made it better! Though, Super Q might need to double check what a futomaki is lol. Onigiri? Overall, I really enjoyed all the little details that really enhanced a simple musubi. Can't wait to come back!

I came here for a musubi but we ordered so much more. I ordered the futomaki and the avocado and spam musubi with a pineapple green tea. My husband ordered the fried noodles and the spicy ahi roll. It took a little while to get our food because they were busy but it was worth the wait. Everything was made fresh and it tasted delicious. The fried noodles was enough to share and the spicy ahi definitely had a little kick to it. Overall, everything tasted great and I would highly recommend this place. The pricing is also very reasonable. Also, if you're going to visit this place, you'll want to park at the shopping center next to it. There really isn't any street parking.

Cute little place in the corner, big sign can't miss it. Right away the owner or worker at the time was very very sweet and kind. I ordered a matcha and some shrimp fried rice and sushi. Everything was made to order and it turned out great.

Super Qute Cafe... Not sure what the Q stands for but this blue greenish colored may blend in with it's Board of Water Supply neighbor which some may say you can't miss it...I did and drove right by them. Signage was too small for me and heading eastbound on North King which makes them to the right of me made it difficult to see though once you know you know. They are right beside Diner's Upscale Hawaii (which has no sign) and when I asked about parking they said it's okay to park there which made it even more convenient so that I don't have to rush. The decor is super cute yet simple and similar like the usual bubble tea spot with sticker decor on the wall though this isn't your usual cafe as they serve an impressive savory items from musubi to chirashi bowl and yes including tea. I ordered a couple of items though since it was later in the day one wasn't available and decided to just get two of the same thing which was a spam musubi with egg. It was a bit smaller than usual and wrapped tightly with plastic wrap that made it so hard to unwrap without it falling apart but was a yummy bite that satisfied my belly after a long day at work. Tea it was difficult choice but kept it to a simple SQ Fruit Party as I already know that's a fruit tea that's my usual jam. Loved that it's in the OG cup with the heart stopper which makes it easy to sip and drive. They do have a stamp card so that's already a win win place to eat, sip and enjoy. Thank you!

Breakfast in Kalihi, Honolulu, Hawaii... Searching my Yelp app for a nearby place to eat, Super Q Cafe appeared, and I read a review by my friend, Donna O. I'm sold! I parked "next door" because there's hardly any street parking, and like Donna, I was gonna be quick. Unfortunately, they opened at 1:30pm on Sunday, June 2. Fortunately, I went back on June 4 and they were open! The guy at the cash register seemed to be the only employee in the morning. Maybe more staff will come later? He was very apologetic as he was finishing up an order before mine. He asked how I found out about the one-month old cafe. I told him my friend wrote a Yelp review and posted photos... he was very happy! I ordered a delicious musubi with tamago because they were right there on the counter (fresh and warm), a yummy Chirashi Bowl (the picture menu made it look good), and a Teri chicken/salmon special since there was a poster on the wall. I couldn't eat the salmon because it was a bit spicy with perhaps Sriracha mayo sauce? I liked the chicken, Furikake, and takuan! I received a stamp card and 2 stamps because my order was over $20. Later, I ordered a Watermelon green tea and a Pineapple green tea for another stamp... LOL... it was a warm day, and I was dehydrated! The cafe itself has really cute decor! I look forward to returning for more yummy food and fruit tea that has real bits of fresh fruit in them!

You can't miss seeing Super Q Cafe in this light teal building just off of Waiakamilo Road at Kamenani and North King Street right next to Diner's Upscale Hawaii. Inside this nicely renovated cafe was a drink and sushi place. Besides sushi, they do offer miso soup, musubis, beef curry & teriyaki beef bowls. Some drink places would have sweet desserts but not savory food. Cool that you can get your boba drink and breakfast in the morning, since they open at 7:30 am except 8:00 am on Sundays. It's not earlier enough for me to pick up breakfast before work but for after church breakfast on Sundays. They have grab and go spam musubis under the warmer. The price was so reasonable for a spam musubi at $1.99! I chose an avocado spam musubi for a little more and I liked that it had no egg! For my drink I got the grape green tea! It had pieces of grapes inside. It was refreshing but I drank it so fast and realized there were more ice than I would liked. I don't mind coming back to try the other items on the menu. Street parking was limited, but I parked next door, since I planned to be quick. They have a 10-stamp reward card for a drink or musubi. Get a stamp for each $10 purchase. Super Q Cafe was a cute & clean cafe and their prices were reasonable. Workers were nice too.

Oahu offers many sushi shops, but none will be of great service or taste Smooshi Bento was. The Teriyaki Beef and Nigiri was worth every penny, as well as the many flavors of milk teas. If you're ever in the area, visit this amazing shop to not only be offered great food, but great and polite service as well.

    Inari Sushi

Super Q Cafe on North King Street in Honolulu truly impressed me with its diverse menu and delightful offerings. I had the pleasure of sampling several dishes and beverages, and each one exceeded my expectations. Starting with the food, the shrimp tempura was perfectly crispy and flavorful, while the Dragon roll showcased fresh ingredients and expert sushi craftsmanship. The beef curry was rich and comforting, and the Inari was a delightful sweet treat that complemented the savory dishes beautifully. When it came to beverages, I indulged in their coffee tea with boba, which was a delightful blend of flavors and textures, and the Oreo smoothie was creamy and satisfying, perfect for cooling down on a warm day. The ambiance at Super Q Cafe is cozy and inviting, with a welcoming atmosphere that makes it ideal for both quick bites and relaxed meals. The staff were friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. Located conveniently in Honolulu, Super Q Cafe is a must-visit spot for anyone looking to explore delicious Japanese cuisine and a wide variety of beverages. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this place is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend it for its great food, excellent service, and overall enjoyable atmosphere. 10/10!!! Let me start with the Watermelon Smoothie and the Lemon Tea, both tasted really good and natural (not artificial or powder flavoring). Based on the taste, I think the Watermelon Smoothie is blended real watermelon and the Lemon Tea is squeezed lemon, this also included lemon slices. The Chirashi Bowl and Salmon and Ikura Bowl were also great! The fish and seafoods are fresh and the serving size is big. The quality and size is great with an affordable price. The ambiance of the place is pleasing and the staffs were nice. The place is easy to find, it is right across the street from Ford. Overall, it was a great experience and I'll definitely be a regular

Super Q is Super G! Love it from the fresh Cali Rolls, fried noodles, and spicy ahi bowl, to the milk tea boba, all more than reasonsbly priced. This is my go to place couple times a week. If I had more money I'd go more! What a gem in Kalihi. Move over Upscale Diner there's a new sheriff in town. I bet all the postal workers go there.

Been coming here since they first opened. Their food always hits the spot. Very good quality food and drinks made with love. I heard they buy their fish from the auction and they also buy fresh fruits to make their drinks! So their prices are reasonable and good value. Always consistently friendly service. Cute decor and a clean space. I recommend their brown sugar milk tea with boba and their sushi combos (ahi or salmon). They give a really big portion of fried noodles and fried rice, so try that too!

And then there are meals that rock your world. This was one of them. Kaiten sushi, or conveyor belt sushi, is a casual, affordable Japanese dining style invented in 1958 where plates of sushi rotate on a motorized belt passing diners, allowing them to select dishes directly. Here at Kaiten Sushi Ginza Onodera, it's not the typical catwalk of pre-made maki rolls, nigiri, and other offering. You order off a kiosk and then it is fast-tracked to your table via sushi belt. Here at Kaiten Sushi Ginza Onodera, you are granted the ability to try their Edomae-style sushi for a more affordable price. Edomae-style sushi is a traditional Tokyo cuisine originating in the 1820s, featuring seafood, often cured, marinated, or simmered, served atop rice seasoned with red vinegar (akasu). We are staying at the hotel, Prince Waikiki, and based on the rave reviews, we expected a flawless, high-end meal. While the restaurant looks clean and accurately mimics a true Japan dining atmosphere, the kitchen execution and lack of basic customer service completely ruined our celebration. My husband ordered the Yokozuna set and 2 Kanimiso Gunkans, and I ordered the Ozeki set (we both substituted our Ikura, and he got the Big Shrimp). While chewing his premium Toro, my husband hit a massive fish bone. It was huge, a legitimate, dangerous choking hazard. For a restaurant charging top-dollar for high-grade tuna, a bone of that size getting past a sushi chef is completely unacceptable. When my husband showed the bone to our waitress, she just casually said she would "inform the chefs." That was it. No manager ever came over, no one apologized, and they didn't even adjust our bill. We were forced to pay full premium price for a dish that nearly choked my husband. The pacing was completely mismatched. My husband's food arrived almost immediately, but my Ozeki set took an incredibly long time to come out. Because he didn't want to start eating without me on our first date, his sushi just sat on the table getting warm. The kitchen was running painfully slow, which made no sense because the restaurant wasn't even fully seated yet. Just that little moment left a bad impression and would have been worse if my husband choked. I honestly could have just went to genki sushi, never gotten bones in my fish there. Overall, sushi was good but not something to rave over. to pay that much for sushi I was expecting more, and this fell flat.

After walking around, the hostess asked if we had a reservation. I gave her my name, but she said we didn't have one, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. She then explained that our reservation was actually at their sister restaurant around the other side of the building. We went over there and found that it was primarily a sushi restaurant, which wasn't really what we were looking for. We had expected more of an izakaya-style experience, so we canceled the reservation and returned to the original restaurant. Once seated, the service was good and our server was attentive throughout the meal. One thing that was a little confusing was that sushi and sashimi had to be ordered from the sister restaurant, even though we were dining in the other restaurant. The food was brought over and served to us without any issues, and there were no problems with the bill, but it took us a while to understand how the two restaurants operated together. We ordered several dishes, including chicken skin wrapped gyoza, crab tempura, an assorted sashimi platter, a cream cheese and fish roe appetizer served with toast, an egg dish topped with fish roe, chicken karaage, and the miso butterfish. The highlights for me were the chicken karaage, miso butterfish, and gyoza. I enjoyed them enough to order another round of the gyoza and chicken. That said, many of the dishes leaned toward the sweeter side of Japanese cuisine, which just isn't my personal preference. If you enjoy those flavors, your experience may be different. Overall, the food was good, the service was solid, and there were a few standout dishes. The confusion with the reservation, entrance setup, and relationship between the two restaurants got the evening off to an awkward start, but the meal improved once we were seated. I'm not really a Japanese food person, so four stars is probably the highest rating I could realistically give a Japanese restaurant. With that in mind, I thought they did a good job, and there were a few dishes I would consider ordering again.

My fiance won a gift card actually 2 of them (from his coworker whom could not get a reservation secured), we knew we had to make the trip over before they officially close. We had multiple dishes, but staff made Kauai prawns and tomato miso black cod dishes on the house since they ran out the Hokkaido scallops. We ordered the short ribs, lobster appetizer, hamachi crudo and lastly sashimi moriawase to finish food palate. Lukki lemon dessert was great way to end to night. Ordered the Milk tea bouquet cocktail while my better half had water ( either way the food coma knock him out cold the rest of the night lol). To be honest, it was difficult to determine which dish was the best because the staff kept quality there despite it being busy every night since they announce the closure. Sashimi moriawase, fish was so fresh, reminded me of my time spent in Hokkaido and Sapporo. Short ribs was soft and rich in flavor. Both me and my fiance liked the lukki lemon dessert, like lemon meringue pie but broken down version. If you have a chance to dine here before closing and got a reservation, definitely will have a lovely dining experience and your stomach will be full by end of the night.

First, our service by Manager JP and server John are 2nd to none. If you follow my Yelp reviews and sushi reviews you KNOW we are indeed global sushi "experts" from San Francisco, to NYC, Miami, Tel Aviv and everywhere in between. We were in town for the King Kamehameha Day and weekend parades and celebrations. Our son is a rising Senior at University of Hawai'i at Mānoa and two of his friends joined our party of six which our son made the Sunday evening reservations. My mother-in-law was using a scooter this trip and JP was very generous & helpful in accommodating our "parking" needs inside the restaurant. We were seated in a "prefect" table outside overlooking the Wakiki strip. Our server John was very welcoming, hospitable and kind. As we settled in and reviewed our massive menus which "like reading a newspaper" has just about everything to accommodate any diner needs. Unfortunately, a light rain and drizzle happening requiring us to relocate inside in a very comfortable table at the front of the restaurant that John took full charge in making our "transition" simple and quickly. Now, the sushi selections were very unique, amble, beautiful and delicious! Our creative cocktails and entree selections are too extensive for this dyslexic to list here. I took a photo and it is listed in the photos. Our sushi experience was amazing! Highly recommend Doraku Sushi Waikiki! Manager JP and Server John rock!

Every piece of sushi was beautifully presented not overwhelming. You can really tell the chefs put a lot of thought into the balance of flavors and textures. One of my favorite bites was a sashimi piece topped with something that looked like finely grated cheese (not sure what it actually was), but it melted perfectly with the fish and added a really unique savory flavor. The chefs and staff also had a good sense of humor. At one point they served kinki fish and jokingly explained that the English translation sometimes gets called "idiot fish," which got everyone laughing at the counter. The omakase is definitely on the pricier side, but the quality, presentation, and overall experience made it very satisfying. If you're looking for a refined sushi experience with great service and beautifully crafted bites, this place is worth the splurge.

Although they have a clean and comfortable space for dining in, we regularly stop by after church or on the weekends for something to savor at our favorite park. Seriously, it's easy to enjoy their bowls, sushi sets, or bentos anytime and anyplace. We've got a passion for this place. Here's how this love affair started...I discovered Domo when a friend invited me for some sushi and sips at her place. I was amazed at the beautiful platter of sushi that accompanied our sake and wine. My friends are the best hosts! I devoured the bombs, nigiris and rolls (in between sips!). Everything was simply delicious! Fast forward a few months, I order a couple sushi sets to host a poolside, golden-hour birthday get together at my other friend's home. (I know, you want to be part of this squad, right?!). Anyway, using the online order system is a snap! My hubby went in to pick up the sushi and said they were slammed but our sushi sets were ready to go. This time we ordered some ikura because the hubby and my bestie are big fans. Both agree it was fresh and fantastic! And the garlic set with the flash-seared fish and a hint of mayo is a MUST-try. We also ordered a California roll for my friend's aunt who is not really a sushi fan. She delighted in several pieces and even enjoyed the nigiri from the garlic set. Total convert! After enjoying the platters and sets, we had to try the bentos and bowls. This time it's just us and the pup at the park. The bentos provide a great variety and comes with miso soup. The hubby really likes the shrimp tempura with ahi and salmon nigiri and ahi poke. It's a steal at less than $20. I'm a bowl girl myself and like the spicy tempura. The tempura is cooked crisp yet tender. The spicy ahi poke combined with the creamy crab salad and the crunchy ocean salad delights all my tastes buds. It's truly an adventure in finding the perfect bite--and there are so many in this bowl! I also love the seared salmon bowl. It is melt-in-your-mouth goodness. I add the fried onions for some texture. You know a place is top-notch when you can feel confident that anything off their menu will satisfy your cravings. Because this is a Yelp review, here are some helpful tips. For sushi platters, pre-order. The online system is simple to use. Service is fast and efficient if you're just walking in for a quick bite or to grab something to go. Parking has always been easy for us to find in the small lot in the complex where Domo is located. It's right next to Assagio's Kahala. But if you're worried about parking, I suggest ordering in advance and then just picking up. This works great during peak dining hours. If you want fresh, delicious sushi that is reasonably priced be like us and visit Domo Café. You will probably also be like us and want to go back to try more.
