The worst service ever! Waited for a friend and in the meantime, 10 min later someone asked me if I wanted a drink. I ordered a sangria. No waters were brought over until well after my friend came. In fact no service at all, until my friend got up and asked for service, then we still had to ask for water. I ordered an app when I ordered the sangria, and that wasn't even put in at all. The waitress, a different one took out orders and everything came out together. There were maybe 8 other tables full. The bathrooms were so smelly that I could hardly stand it and had to pinch my nose. The food was good but I'll never be back at least to eat inside. Awful read more

If you like ribs, this is the place for you. They do ribs, pretty well, but the best part is that their flavors are top-tier. We got our ribs delivered, and they were a little dry due to probably sitting at the restaurant for a bit before someone brought them. But their original flavor and their Memphis flavor were top-tier. I was a big fan of their baked beans which had big chunks of meat in it. Their french fries we're also crispy and nicely salted. I wasn't a big fan of their corn as it was lacking some flavor and salt, but the mashed potatoes and gravy feel like home. Overall, I would suggest eating at the restaurant if you have the option, so that the ribs are a little juicier, but you will not be disappointed! read more

I came here with my parents last week and the overall experience was quite pleasant! We were greeted instantly upon entering the building and our nostrils were greeted by the glorious aroma of smoked meat. We ordered a flight of beer to split between the 3 of us, and the beer was cold and served quickly. I ordered a 9oz sirloin with a baked potato, and the waitress was able to snag some olive oil for me, despite it not being on the menu (if you've never had olive oil on your potato, you have to try it), and it was cooked exactly how I asked. The steak was a beautiful medium rare and was very tasty. The baked potato was a very standard baked potato, so I have no complaints there. The prices were not extreme, but it wasn't cheap either. My mother had the brisket, and it seemed pretty dry-- like it was held under a heat lamp for a long time. It tasted okay, but ultimately was disappointing. The atmosphere was solid as well. It was not too bright and not too dark and it wasn't too loud. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I may come back again sometime soon to try the bar food deals. read more

We walked into this location around 4:30 in the afternoon and it was pretty empty - we should have taken it as a sign. We had different types of items and nothing tasted rememberable or 'great'. The food was okay, at best. Now, my friend who accompanied me, truly believes the chips were store brought b/c they weren't even warm when they were brought out and they just tasted like regular bbq chips. The wings were okay but honestly, BBW has better - I tried their lemon pepper dry rub on half and the Korean on the other half. The burger was alright and so were the fries. The drinks were pretty strong, so I guess that made up for the food? Our serve Bria was about a month new and it was a little obvious. I don't recall ever being disappointed anytime I visited Smokey bones! I love the ribs and sides and was so happy to see that there's now an option for a 1/3 rack of ribs on the menu which is the perfect portion for me! I also love their creamy coleslaw!! Came in at 5pm on a Wed and the place was nearly empty. A few tables were still un-cleared. Seemed as if there was only one server on the floor. Went there last night with my boyfriend for the first time. We ordered the wing special which was buy 1get 1 free. We ordered 2 different flavor they were supposed to be the traditional ones and we got the smoke ones. we sent them back. so as we waited we placed our main course meals. Which we both ordered the full rack of ribs. once We got our food the ribs were cold like they were in the refrigerator and was heated up, the sides were cold. so we just let them know we didn't want anything from here and got up and left o by the way we never received our wings. First time here, we came for thanksgiving! The service was really laid back and distant, I'm guessing because of the holiday--no worries. The food definitely tasted good and had a good structure, just a few minor things we couldn't pass on: -The mac & cheese was a little bland--even with salt and pepper added. -Loaded nachos appetizer came out a bit lukewarm--they only had sour cream to offer on the side; there wasn't any guacamole or salsa. The server *did* forget to put in our order for a small side salad, but that wasn't a big deal since she brought it to our table under 5 minutes. The 2 local IPA beers were crisp, traditional, and refreshing. The non-alcoholic Shirley Temple was quite refreshing as it brought back memories of always ordering it as a child. read more

My first time at Smokey Bones in Pittsburgh though I've visited one in another city some years ago. Visited with a group. I had the imported baby back ribs (full rack) with a baked potato and Cole slaw. The ribs were quite tasty, they come sauced, plus there were several other sauces (mustard bbq sauce, Carolina mopping sauce, original Smokey Bones sauce and Chipotle) you could add if you like. The ribs were very tasty and tender, and quite lean. The potato was ok, but Texas Roadhouse's was bigger, moister, tastier. Cole slaw tasted good but was rather soupy with too much liquid in it. Our server was absolutely wonderful! They have a frequent-customer club and I applied while I was waiting for the meal and got $10 off my meal, great deal! It wasn't at all crowded at noon. The place was very clean, bright, pleasant decor; we all enjoyed our lunch. BTW, the person next to me got the fresh cut skin-on French fries instead of the baked potato and I tried one, and it was WONDERFUL. I'll definitely order the fries next time I go. Came on a Saturday night at 630, did not use the waitlist for a party of 2. Wait was estimated to be 30-45 min which actually took 65 but it was just us 2 adults and OBVIOUS understaffing. Our server was very friendly and helpful, staying on top of drinks and checking on us. Overly apologetic for no reason. We had 2 rib dinners (preferred the St. Louis). They were unexpected good, we haven't been here in over 10 years. Sadly the sides were very "meh" including my potato wedges which were literally black and inedible. We also had smoked wings as an app which didn't really seem smoked and the sauce was sort of just dumped on. We did love the choice of multiple sauces! I saw a few other tables order the nachos and will try those next time. All in all for $70 a nice night out where we didn't have to get dressed up. The staff seemed to be run ragged with huge groups but was doing a great job. The cleaning however coild be better. The floor were sooooo sticky and the bathrooms disgusting. read more

We really wanted to love this place as we have been to another location, but unfortunately it fell short. When we first came in the hostess didn't even say hi or hello or how many or anything. Just ,"two kids menus?" As she's getting our menus together a few gentlemen come in obviously looking around and the other hostess very rudely goes, "can I help you?" And to that they respond that they are looking for their party who is already there. The hostess gives the most rudest look like she was offended that she couldn't get them their own table. I got a side salad with my steak medallions. I got my side salad first and the salad was jam packed in a small oblong shaped bowl on a plate which made it hard to even eat it. As I go to eat it, the salad is clearly frozen which causes a terrible taste and weird wilted lettuce. Our waitress again was so apologetic and was happy to get me a new one but unfortunately the second one was not right either and almost like the bad pieces were hidden under it all. So I sent that back as well. When I received my steak medallions one was wonderful! The other was a weird shaped piece of steak. When I ordered them it said 2 4oz pieces of filet mignon. Definitely not that. Our whole food order was $100. Not worth it. Overpriced. And staff other than our wonderful waitress was very unprofessional. read more

First time at Smokey Bones in Robinson. The restaurant was freezing, especially in the back where we were sitting. Incredibly uncomfortable. I kept my coat and scarf on practically the whole time. I think the temperature cooled our food down pretty fast after it was brought out too, which was disappointing. That alone would prohibit me from returning even though the food was good. Secondly, it took awhile for the server to greet us after we were seated. I did notice they seemed pretty busy and only had a few waitresses. Once we finally got our food order in, the waitresses service was good. The food was the best part. Overall we enjoyed it. I liked the bay back ribs, the baked beans and macaroni were delicious! The sweet potato fries were average. The pulled pork was a little dry. My kids seemed to enjoy the burgers and fries. My husband enjoyed his food too. He got chicken, pulled pork, broccoli and sweet potato fries. He mentioned the broccoli was better than he was expecting.
