Speedy and friendly service. No appointment needed, so I wasn't bothered that I had to wait for two cars ahead of me. They were very polite and up front that there were two cars ahead of me and it would be about 20 minutes until my turn. I didn't do a lot of price shopping, but they seemed reasonable, and they have a coupon on their website. So, for an annoying state-mandated chore, they made it quick and painless. Definitely recommend!! read more

Spoke with Izzy at the Smog Zone area & he was very friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. He got me in & out in 15 minutes and even helped me get $15 off coupon by checking into Yelp. Will definitely come back and send my friends over here. read more

If you're in Van Nuys and need to have your car smog, I highly recommend going to Smog Zone. They get the job done and they're extremely reasonable. Extremely fast and very trustworthy read more

This is my 2nd time coming here for a smog test. I had a good time last time checking, so this time I came back again. During Covid 19, they were keeping a station very clean and also making sure every customers were feeling safe and comfortable. I really appreciated they are doing their best to keep everyone safe by having enough space for waiting spaces. They also set outside with some seats and a canopie, inside waiting area is spacy and windows are open. Air is circulated well through out the shop and very clean and tidy. Also, they take $10 off when I checked in! People work here are friendly and professional. It does not take long to get a smog test done at here unless if they have other people ahead of you. Make sure to call them before you head out during a Covid time, so they can give you what store hours during weekend. For labor day weekend, they told me they were taking a long weekend, so will be closing early by 1130 on Thursday. read more

Haik, Thank you again for your help today. Fast and friendly as usual. I've brought at least 2 cars to Haik and today was my third. Love the service and the pricing is always great. Anyone that needs smog service should come by! read more

Smog Zone did a great job saved me time and money. Told me it wouldn't pass doesn't wanna waste my time and money that I should get a specific problem fixed. And told me to drive the car for 2 weeks lots of highway miles before bringing it in for a test. Awesome job! read more

We have been coming here for all our cars. It opens Saturday so it's great. Fast and friendly service. Highly recommended.

I came in around 10am on a Friday for a smog check and only had one other person ahead of me. Plenty of seating in the garage out of the sun. Haik was super nice and helpful and got to me in a fast and timely manner. Highly recommend this place! A+ read more

Stopped in last minute for a smog check. Haik was great and fast.. got me in and out. First time getting a smog check and a great experience. Will be back in the future. Highly recommend! read more

The owner was very reliable and friendly. The process with extremely smooth and there was not much a of a wait needed too. About 15mins and you're done. He was nice enough to offer me the yelp discount too! Strongly recommend this business, owner works really hard and is very honest. I failed the smog check initially because I had just changed my battery, but I just did what he asked, drove 50miles on the freeway and went back the next day to get it settled. Great advice! read more

Friendly and excellent service. Dropped in without an appointment, didn't have to wait and test was done in less than 10 minutes! Highly recommended. read more

Top notch service, in and out in 15 minutes. So nice, couldn't ask for better service. And an adorable dog

Great job! Came here on my lunch break and I was in and out in 15 minutes (even without an appointment!). I saw on their website that if you check-in on Yelp while you're there, you get a $15 discount, which I mentioned to the tester and received the discount. They're also the only ones who have ever done a smog check on my car properly. In the past, every time I've left a smog place, my 'check engine light' comes on because the people usually don't hook up the equipment right for some reason (boggles my mind every time). However, that did not happen today! This leads me to believe that these guys know something that the other guys don't, or maybe they just care more. Either way, I've found my new smog check go-to. read more

Smog Zone is the BEST! I don't think I was there for even ten minutes. I drove in, they took my car, and before I had the chance to look through the magazine I brought to pass the time, my car was done. Great price, great job and speedy quick service! I highly recommend Smog Zone! read more

Very fast. Great customer service. Very friendly. Would recommend and will return when I have to smog check my car again next year

These guys are fantastic! In and out within 10 minutes and very affordable. Highly recommend to all! I'll definitely be back! No appointment needed, which is even better. read more

I had a 24.99 internet coupon, from some local gas station near my house. The Gas station boys said they would not switch to STAR system for a week. Back to the internet, Star system search, found Smog Zone! I called, and Brent confirmed they take internet coupons. When I arrived, he said he can give $10 off with their coupon, but not the local gas station coupon. He said he will be nice and will give me $10 off without their coupon. The first charge was a $41.75 for failing the first time (reason for failure was O2 sensor) After spending $200 elsewhere for mechanical fixing, I returned for another testing. I was charged $30.00 to rerun the test. It is hard to feel comfortable paying $71.75 for smog when you have a coupon for 24.99 from a gas station next door to your own place. The service was 10 minutes each run, but you can get more from a doctor with $25.00 and 30 minute. You can get vaccinated or get a flu shot. I can get better elsewhere. read more

Seriously!! The best, cheapest, and fastest smog test in my life!! I am not joking!! If you live in the valley, don't even think about getting a smog anywhere else than here. Just call them a little bit before you plan on heading over there, and they will get you in line. You will be out in no time. Very fast and professional. No complaints at all!! My wife went and did her car a few days before mine and Haik told her he would give us a break for the both of us.. So we call him back a few days later to do my car and he completely remembered us and totally honored the special deal. Now THAT is customer service.. Thanks again for making that pain the &*# "every other year" smog check thing a totally painless experience for us.. Haik, You Rock !! read more

I called ahead and spoke with Haik, who told me he could get me in right away and told me a smog check would cost $50, after he applied a $10 discount. I arrived a few minutes later, and after a few minutes, Haik finished up on the car that he was working on and pulled mine in. Haik was professional and friendly, and he completed my smog check quickly. This was my 2nd time at Smog Zone (I had forgotten I went there a few years back), and both times went smoothly. Service was good and super fast. The prices were reasonable and there is no fuss. Would come back again.

Called, he offered a smog on my 2001 SUV for 50 clams total including all fees, and said he wasn't too busy so come on over. I rolled up and was out of there in like 1/2 hour even though there were two customers ahead of me. Very friendly, fast, and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Forget about the shady places, just go to Smog Zone and get your smog ordeal over with painlessly. THANKS BRO! read more

Great experience! Very easy and convenient. I was dreading the smog check but Haik made it very simple and easy! Thank you so much Smog Zone

This place is great, they were super friendly and fast. They had me in and out in about half an hour or less. And they were busy. No appointments needed. There is an ice waiting room and the place is clean. The employee was super nice and friendly. He helped me immediately and knew exactly what to do. I don't know anything about cars or smog tests and he took care of everything. Now I can safely renew my sticker with the DMV. I recommend this place to anyone needing a smog test. Highly recommend. read more

I'm another customer who came here based solely on the reviews and I have to admit, the prices was quick, painless and the owner was able to get me in and out in 15 minutes (and there were 2 people ahead of me :) Highly suggest this establishment for anyone needing a smog test done. I've had some pretty bad experiences in the past (long waits, cancelled appointments, misquotes, etc). The owner was open and transparent about duration, price and the wait. Fast, friendly, knowledgeable service. Would recommend to even my grandma, if she could drive that is. Thanks!

Getting a smog check can be an unwanted chore but at Smog Zone I was greeted with a smile and an upbeat attitude. I was prepared with my coffee, a list of work to do and low expectations as to comfort and time it would take. Fortunately a super friendly guy named Hike was just finishing up with someone and I was able to drive right up. He honored his YELP checkin coupon and I was out of there in 15 minutes. I know I was lucky to come by at just the right time because a lady came in just as he was finishing up with me. There was a comfortable sitting area out of the sun and there was a plug nearby I could've plugged in my phone if needed. I'm grateful for the positive vibes and quick turn around. read more

The people there are fantastic! I hate, hate doing Smog Checks ( I'm so glad they happen for the planet, just another thing on the to do list!)- but these guys made it so pleasant:) Absolutely kind and so efficient, even though I I came at the very end of their day! I wish everything was that easy. read more
