When she came out from the back and sat down, she immediately got to work. Unfortunately, she wasn't very friendly or welcoming and didn't even say hello, which I think is a pretty basic part of customer service. I told her what I wanted, and she got started. She was strictly business, no small talk, no effort to make me feel comfortable, just work, work, work. In fact, it was probably the fastest manicure I've ever had. What surprised me most was that there were none of the finishing touches I've come to expect from a manicure. There was no hand rinse at the end to remove the nail dust and debris, no hand massage. She did ask if I wanted lotion or cuticle oil, but it felt more like an obligation than a genuine offer. Since my hands were still covered with filing dust, I declined the lotion and oil because I would have preferred to wash my hands first. The gel manicure itself turned out fine, but the overall experience felt rushed and impersonal. I paid and left without feeling like much care had been put into the customer experience. It's been about a month now and my nails have not chipped, they're still going so that's a plus.

Both my mani and pedi were painless (I've had issues before) and the massages were quite nice! My toes look PERFECT, and I love the way my fingernails turned out too. If I did my math right, the design ended up costing about $30. The only issue I have is that the middle of one of my nails chipped overnight and I can see another bubble (I indented in the pic) ready to pop. I've been super careful with them, since I don't usually get my nails done I've been very gentle with my hands because I'm getting used to the gel feeling, so I'm not sure why they're chipping less than 24 hours in. I decided on gel vs. polish once I arrived since I knew they'd last longer. Unfortunately I don't live in the area so I won't be able to get them fixed, I'm also not sure if that's something that they offer. Overall, I'm happy with the experience. She actually took me a little early at 10:50 AM, which I appreciated. A gentleman started by removing my old polish, and then at 11:00 AM, Brandy, who I usually see, started working on my nails. Brandy asked what I wanted, and I told her I was interested in a fall-inspired look with a cat-eye effect. I chose a maroon color from their color chart. However, she used a different nail polish brand than the one I selected from the chart. The color itself was nice, but I specifically wanted a gold cat-eye over the maroon. I was disappointed to find out that the salon did not carry a gold cat-eye, so we ended up doing a silver cat-eye instead. My biggest concern, though, is the longevity of the manicure. It has only been one week, and I am already seeing the color peeling. For the price I paid, I expected the manicure to last longer. It makes me wonder if the polish/product used was not the best quality. I do appreciate Kim's kindness and the friendly service, but I hope the salon can offer more color options, especially gold cat-eye, and consider using products that provide better durability.
