We used to be frequent patrons of the Culver City Smashburger, with our favorite burger being the truffle mushroom. We moved away from the area and today's trip was our first day back to a Smashburger location in almost a decade. Boy, the menu is really limited here! I ordered for takeout and only the classic smash with and without bacon was available. The burger itself was fine, and the patty was still juicy. But there was nothing special in terms of the sauce or toppings. The rosemary fries were subpar compared to before, with essentially no rosemary seasoning. I am hoping the poor experience was solely because of location & maybe they just ran out of ingredients for the night. It was a Tuesday evening, around 6:30 pm, so we didn't have to wait in a long line to order. So, the food is good. Given it's location, it's pricey for a burger but it's good. We ordered a double-double smashburger, a grilled chicken, and a cheese burger. We also ordered regular fries, sweet potato fries, and tater tots, which were a winner! They're seasoned with rosemary and something else. Given how empty it was, the staff was very helpful (and patient while we ordered) and our food was out within 15 minutes. I'm not sure why the menu is only posted on the wall- it would be helpful for accessibility reasons, I'd they could have menus at each of the POSs.
