I love this place. The cajun fries are bananas, and the bacon cheeseburger is always delicious. I like that they have lettuce wrap options, and i usually get it in a bowl so it doesn't go everywhere. Had a great cheat meal here today and the staff was delightful. There was a trainee on the cash register and he crushed it. I'm sure that is a super stressful role, but he did great. Five Guys make REALLY GOOD BURGERS. The French Fries are made while you wait and are equally delicious. There are a lot of things you can add to your burger, as well! We always get mushrooms, tomatoes and cheese. The staff at this location were very friendly and were nice enough to cut the burger in half for us. One cheeseburger and regular sized fry was plenty for the two of us. This Fuvw Guys isocated in a small outdoors cakked calles Fig & 7th. If you are looking for place to eat AND shop, this is a great choice. Stores there include Target, Bath and Body, Victoria Secrets and Nordstroms. There is a nice parking structure adjacent to the mall. You can validate your parking at Target. We usually only end up paying an additional dollar. read more

Always a nice burger made fresh. French fries freshly made. The only thing that is annoying is the brown paper bag . when you leave there you look like you're homeless. It looks like you've been carrying this greasy, horrible looking paper bag around for a month or two. One of my coworkers mentioned that he was so correct, too funny. It also indicates the fries are quite greasy, but they are delicious. I had Five Guys years ago and didn't like it. My favorite friend wanted to have Five Guys and I couldn't say no to her. I ordered Little Cheeseburger ($6.89) with grilled mushrooms, grilled onions and BBQ sauce. My burger was not good at all, especially the bun. I didn't bother finishing my burger. Hamburger ($8.19): my friend got this with onions, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeno peppers and light mayo. She said her burger was very juicy and she really liked it. Regular fries ($4.99): we shared the fries and I didn't like it. The fries were very limpy. My friend thought the fries were okay. We ended up throwing away more than 3/4 of our fries. Look at this soggy burger, i just ordered it here at the mall and am eating it here, the second I pick it out of the bag my hand is covered I this nasty greasy wetness, its all over the tinfoil of my bruger and in my bag and on my fries in the bag its quite disgusting. I crave burger and fries every now and then.. Big Mac and fries does the job but the location on 3rd/Grand just closed recently. I remembered Five Guys opening up at 7th/Fig at the downstairs food court and headed that way. The line close to noon can get 15 people deep if you don't get there early enough and a ton of burger lovers waiting for their order. Ordered a little burger (one patty) and little fries Cajun style. Best thing about the burger here at the toppings which you can chose. Lettuce, mustard, grilled onions and A-1 is the way to go. I like the Cajun flavor of the fries which is a bit sweet and peppery. The fries itself are just okay. I like mine crispy and when I asked for crispy, they still weren't crispy. Overall, cashier and folks here are friendly and try their best to accommodate the crowd. Admittedly I'm not the biggest fan of Five Guys. However, there's a pretty significant void in well-known burger joints in DTLA. And with Shake Shack not coming until next year and In-N-Out refusing to go to DTLA without a drive-thru option (which makes ZERO sense to me since the SF location doesn't have one), Five Guys finally struck as the first option at Figat7th. So hey, sometimes you just gotta get fat on a burger and fries right? You know what you get with Five Guys. Ok burger with a load of toppings and lots and lots of fries. Five Guys has never had the best beef patties, and the patties I had were a bit dry. Still, it was satisfying because I was in IDGAF fatass mode and Five Guys answered my call. Review got bumped up 1 star because of how great the service here is. Working in a location like Figat7th is really stressful due to the volume of people coming through and how quick the turnaround has to be. So with that in consideration, the staff here are super friendly and really do make you feel super welcome. They do their best to make sure you are well-versed on the menu and get your order right. It's not something I usually see at many burger joints, so I had to point this out. Oh yeah, the line can get long. REALLY long. Have fun with that lol. read more

Well, that price saving plan went out the window: A cheeseburger and regular fries without a drink was over $13. Ouch. The burger? It reminded of a decent diner burger ― straightforward, tasty, but also basic. The burgers don't have much of a distinct identity; it's basically the standard mom-and-pop café burger. At that nearly $9 price tag, the cheeseburger should cover the fries and probably a drink, too. As for the fries, I'm not a fan. They're the kind of fries most people make at home, i.e., starchy baking russets (not the right kind of potato for frying) with thick skins fried just once. The moisture in the potatoes makes them go moist very quickly, and the thick skin dominates the flavor and texture. I don't like these at all, and I'd never order them again. All I've ever heard about are the fries and how amazing and crispy they are, but reality is they aren't special at all and the burnt ends are barely crispy. Located in the Target shopping center downtown this Five Guys is in a busy food court with open seating and parking is validated if you buy something at Target. My daughters always get the hot dog and say it's great. I get a cheeseburger with mushrooms and A-1 sauce, really good! Prices are reasonable but things can go wrong in a hurry if you don't follow my Pro tip, see below. Pro tip: Make sure you buy something at Target! Even a pack of gum or something but do it! Starts off with building your own burger says Ms Aime the cashier that attended me, but i didn't get my grilled onion, neither my 2 chesese, or the sauces i also got a vanilla shake instead of a strawberry shake, walked all the way back to work just to find out i got something totally off and expensive! I came here because my friend loves this place. He ate Five Guys when he lived in NC- And he liked it so he came here too- I tagged along with him- Wow- they have great burgers. It is juicy and the french fries are excellent! The ingredients are definitely FRESH! Loved it! Also, the portions are pretty big and service is nice. However, I think it is a bit expensive. I definitely believe that In-N-Out is the better deal in terms of value. Also, Habit is good enough- I am not sure why Five Guys are more expensive. Parking here is ok. Not good but I prefer walking or taking an Uber- It is really in a weird location. I think if it was closer to USC, more people would come and enjoy- For me, I like here a lot but given that In-N-Out and Habit are closer to my house, I will stick for them for now- But please do try out- It is a good burger! read more

Before 5-guys came to CA I have heard stories of this mystical burger joint that served burgers that were "better than in n out".....right. I was obviously skeptical, and when a location that was drivable finally opened up, I came through. The result: "meh". DEFINITELY not better than in n out, not even close. That was years ago. This review stems from my most recent visit to the downtown location. Where one of my co-workers challenged yet again that 5-guys is better than in n out. Since I have only been once, and it was years ago, I decided to give it another shot: this time was even worse than I remember previously. First of all: the burgers are about as expensive as you could expect to pay at many sit downs. I paid either $13 and some change for a burger (double) and fries- no drink, no fancy add-ons. I'm not sure if the pricing varies per location, but this is a bit much. The burger- it was just above warm when I got it, and it reminded me exactly of a double quarter pounder with cheese (from Mc Donalds). Definitely not better than in n out, definitely not worth the price. I'd probably rather have gone to Mc Donalds. read more

I haven't had Five Guys in years, but with DTLA's narrow choice of casual eateries, I couldn't resist giving it another go. It is located on the back wall of the TASTE food hall between Salata and the former Flying Pig space. It is a walk-up counter with a huge queue, however I've only been at "off times" so it's never been packed. There were surprisingly no issues with ordering, waiting, or the food considering they have just opened. The staff here is really really friendly and helpful. Kudos to all the chefs who greet you every time you walk up! The food itself is better than I remember from my last FG visit. While it's not the greatest burger I've ever had - it definitely beats FatBurger down the street and it's more convenient than driving out to Habit or In N Out. I like their mini burgers & cheese burgers, which are single-patty and the perfect portion if you're not looking to get stuffed. Love their array of free toppings which give you endless options to customize your burger. They also offer hot dogs and a veggie sandwich, but I haven't tried either yet. Fries are pretty solid, although I prefer them with the Cajun seasoning over the regular ones. Their milkshakes are also realllly good. Overall, it's definitely a little pricy for a casual burger joint, but the staff, quality of the food and convenient location for downtown workers and locals make this one of my revolving choices for a quick bite to eat. read more
