I saw on social media that Shake Shack had a promo for their new Pimento Burger running until April 12th, so I decided to give it a try. I heard it was a BOGO deal where you get a second one for free if you enter the promo code PIMENTO at checkout. I was pretty exhausted that Sunday, April 12th, after going all the way out to Tehachapi, so that evening, I decided to just walk over to the Shake Shack right in front of my place and grab it to-go. I tried ordering at the kiosk but got a little flustered when the PIMENTO promo wasn't showing up. Fortunately, a very kind female staff member came over and helped me, so I was able to get my order through successfully. I didn't catch her name, but she was incredibly friendly and worked so hard--it really left a strong impression on me. My brother ordered four burgers as well. The first two came out pretty quickly, but we had to wait quite a while for the remaining two. Even then, that same employee checked his order ticket and helped push it through so they would come out faster. (He bought four burgers total: two for him and my other brother to eat, and two extra to give to the security guards at my condo). The Pimento Beef Burger had quite a bit of cheese in it, so it was a little heavy, but still delicious. When I took my first bite, there was a slight spicy kick to it, which made me wonder what they put in it to give it that heat--but I'm guessing it was the dressing. The burgers were fresh and tasty, but above all, that incredibly kind, diligent, and hardworking employee is what really stood out to me. SHIT SHACK. I've heard from a couple people that the burger is pretty good. Some have even dared to claim it's superior to In-N-Out. I honestly no longer trust the judgement of any of these people. They were offering a BOGO for their Shackburger on Postmates so I figured it was a good opportunity to try them out. SO WRONG WAS I. First off, their "burgers" are actually sliders. Insanely small. Dry! Beef did taste slightly above average with some char flavor, which was the only acceptable part. That and the bun (texture not size). Not sure if they ran out of tomatoes, which then they should definitely inform the customer, but it came with nothing but a tiny sad piece of unfresh wilted lettuce & barely a smear of "sauce." Did I mention it was fucking dry?? And laughably small? I'd be even more heated if I had paid full price for this, but even at half the cost I'd say it was ridiculously overpriced for the size and lack of filling. The flavor was a slight notch above, I'll give'm that. Honestly, this probably mainly has to do with whatever idiot that assembled these. Stopped in here for some lunch after I had been shopping in the jewelry theatre. It was convenient cause it was close, about a 4 min walk. Only thing is there is an intense amount of homeless in the area, just heads up. If you're from the area you're familiar with the conditions. The place it self was super clean, bathrooms were as well! They have a kiosk for self order. We tried their bacon cheese burger and it was delicious. I came here mostly because in the Shake Shack app, they offered to give me a FREE hamburger if you spend at least $10. Since everything is pretty pricey already and one hamburger is almost $10, you should always be able to reach that spending limit no matter what you order. I'm surprised most people don't use the coupon codes offered in the app to get some free items. Please do yourself a favor and download it so you can get basically a free entre on top of what you would already order. I got a Shack burger, the free avocado bacon burger (using the promo code on the app at the time of this review), and cheese fries. The total for all three was ~$15 after taxes and promo code, which I think is a good deal. I came in just before 12 PM, so it was relatively empty. My order came in about 5 minutes. Staff were very friendly and professional. It wasn't hectic yet, so maybe that was why, but I am sure the staff were prepping for a busy lunch once it reached 12 PM. The bathrooms have lock codes on them and there is no outside sink just for hand washing. There is a filtered water system and dispense ketchup for public use. The place was clean and quiet before the 12 PM rush hour. Summary: - CLEANLINESS. The inside of the restaurant was clean. There weren't too many people when I came in, so it didn't look crowded or overwhelming. - COSTS. $ Affordable. ~$15 if you use promo codes on the Shake shack app. - CUSTOMER SERVICE. I've never really been much of a Shake Shack fan, but when my wife and I were hungry and we were walking right by this location, I figured it was time to give it another shot. We came here around 5PM and the place was pretty busy, but the kitchen was working fast, and the staff up front was very friendly. What drew me in was the advertised Black Truffle Burger so I ordered that, a the sunset lemonade, and we split an order of the french fries. The Sunset Lemonade was a mixture of Strawberry, Lemon Juice, and Orange which tasted pretty solid, though nothing above average. The Black Truffle Burger was the first burger I've ever had from Shake Shack that really did it for me! The Gruyere cheese, crispy sweet onions, black truffle oil, and the potato bun that held it all together was absolutely delicious, while the standard crinkle cut french fries were top notch as well. Overall, Shake Shack finally won me over with this trip and I'll definitely be back in the future. This was my first time eating one of the burgers from Shake Shack. I was impressed, the flavor of the meat was really good you could taste the quality of it. I got extra smash sauce which was just ok I think I would just prefer traditional condiments next time. I only got a single because I'm greedy so I had a hotdog as well. The hot dog is really good it's grilled and has that snap to it that I like. I ordered through the App and it was ready once I arrived and it was hot. I will definitely be frequenting this establishment especially for the hotdog. It's hard to find a spot with quality dogs in LA. My friend Kim S. and I went to a party at the Golden Gopher a couple weeks ago and needed to grab a quick bite before another party in Silver Lake--it was a fun Friday night for a couple of moms. We wanted somewhere fast and easy, within walking distance of the Gopher, with enough options to accommodate a few dietary restrictions. We were thrilled when we saw there was a Shake Shack across the street. It fit the bill perfectly. I've been to several Shake Shack locations over the years, and this one had the most chain-fast-food-in-DTLA vibe, though I'm guessing they all feel kind of the same these days. Not a ton of character, but simple and convenient, with friendly staff to supplement the tablet ordering system and give us the super-long code to unlock the bathroom. There was plenty of seating, and our food came out quickly. I got a Double ShackBurger with fries and a strawberry shake, a solid foundation for a boozy night. I don't think the Double ShackBurger beats In-N-Out's Double Double, but it's a tasty double cheeseburger, topped with lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce. The fries are great, and I love the shakes. That strawberry shake was such a treat. This was a satisfying 20-minute dinner, just what we needed on a busy night out. I'm glad Shake Shack was there for us and would happily go back. read more

Stopped by Shake Shack on Saturday around 8pm. There were a good amount of people but it wasn't too busy. Ordering on the kiosk was easy, and the staff still checked on us to make sure we were good. Food was solid for fast food -- no complaints there. Kids' favorites: bacon cheese fries, double cheeseburger, and the vanilla-chocolate shake with whipped cream. Parking is the only downside. Another fine example of a Shake Shack. Though their food isn't my favorite and it's a little over-hyped, I have never walked out saying this meal is terrible. If anything, I just think their price point is $5-$8 too high for the quality of food. Indeed, no burger, fries, and drink combo should cost $22 before tip--even if it is a "specialty" burger or bbq fries, which was just fries dressed with bbq dry rub and a tub of nacho cheese. That was maybe a $15 meal at best, and even then I'd think the burger was on the scrawny side. If it wasn't for the fact it's nearby the Wiltern, where I was seeing a show, I'd have never come here. Believe it or not, I ate fast food. And I wasn't forced to. And I ate it all. It's what I ate before attending a show across the street at The Wiltern. Walked in and ordered via an electronic device or kiosk station. It's where you also grab a number and then find a seat and your order is brought out to you. If you're with others, have them find seating while you place the order. I saw others standing and eating because there's not a lot of places to sit. I can't really comment on the service as I didn't have human interaction other than my order being brought to my table. Not that I needed it - just mentioning it in case you know me and you think I'm getting old and forgetting to mention service. As for the food - for me, high prices for small portion size. $20 for a burger, fries and a drink. See pics. I had hoped that because of the locations and Asians can handle heat - that my order would at least give me a tingle in that department. It didn't. The burger or the fries. I'm soooooo happy that Shake Shack has opened in KTown! YAS Y'ALL! I went to the grand opening this week and love the way this location is set up. They have a bunch of kiosks you can order from, then take your number to your table and the food is delivered to you. They also have a pickup window outside which will be great for times I just order through the app to take out. Some staff was really on point and great, others a little shakey, but it's brand new, just opened, and they are still learning. No points knocked for any confusion from the staff. The food is your usual Shake Shack - delicious burgers including a couple of new ones I hadn't had before. The avocado burger is soooo LA and soooo delicious. They didn't have their new Bourbon Bacon Burger yet so I will surely be trying that on my next visit. Let's all be honest here and not front - Shake Shack has some real good burgers. I'm never disappointed! If you don't *at least* get cheese on your fries, you're doing it wrong. But do it big! Get that bacon, too! Their fries are usually just okay but add the trimmings and you're good to go. New shake flavors like Oreo Funnel Cake (what the whaaaat!?) and a non dairy Chocolate! Smart knowing your audience in KTown, Shake Shack! I see you, lol! New drinks like caffeinated lemonades give you that nice boost. The dragonfruit pomegranate lemonade was so darn refreshing and tasty witht he right amount of sweetness. Located directly across the street from The Wiltern, this was the perfect place to eat prior to seeing a show. When you walk in, you place your order at a kiosk station and wait for your food to be ready. Easy as can be. We both ordered cheeseburgers and cheese fries (because, why not?). It was very similar to In & out but the fries were way better. I love a good crinkle cut fry. The only downside is that there was limited seating in a very small yet busy restaurant. I think the key here is to get it to go and then find somewhere to sit. read more

I don't think they have it down quite right yet...I love Shake Shack's cheese sauce but the one here was curdled (thick, clumpy, and grainy), and the chicken bites were WAY too salty. Also, I ordered a SmokeShack and they forgot the bacon. :( I know they opened recently, so hopefully they just need a bit more time to get settled in. Not giving up on this location yet! Burger was good and the fries were just okay. Likely because it's the grand opening, but there are literally too many cooks in the kitchen so they got part of the order wrong. Ordered one of the special fries and got the basic. Luckily I checked what I got before walking away so I asked to get the one I ordered. Customer service was great. However, I will think twice before going back and knock some stars because shake shack doesn't validate parking in the building. So be prepared to pay shake shack food prices and $2 for every 20 minutes to park. For some that extra cost might be worth it, but not for me because it's still fast food at the end of the day. Food tastes just like other locations, and its super clean. The reason why I'm giving 3 stars is that: 1. They don't validate parking. Western/Wilshire is one of the busiest streets so you literally cannot find street parking. Paying $2 for 5-minute parking is not worth coming here. 2. They only have kiosks for people to order. When I went, there were only 2 working out of 4. I had to wait a while since they were older people ordering. They need to have someone take orders for people who aren't familiar with kiosks. 3. I had to go outside to get my food. It's dangerous outside, yet you want us to wait outside? I waited inside until I got the text saying it's ready.
