The Spicy Cajun Chicken and Turkey Bacon Ranch sandwiches at Firehouse Subs.
    Chan Y.

Dining in is the way to go instead of delivery, for the sake of enjoying the Hot Sauce Bar! Sauces had great flavors, but their 1 to 10 heat scale is pretty tame for those that regularly like to eat spicy foods. We tried all the ones they had for our first visit between two sandwiches: Spicy Cajun Chicken and Turkey Bacon Ranch. Favorite sauces for flavor were Backdraft Fire, Gator Hammock, and the Sizzlin' Scorpion. Scorpion was delicious and was actually spicy, it's not one that burns the mouth and tongue, but definitely brought out the sweat!

A tad pricey but a tasty sub and made to my specs ! Order was made in a timely manner and parking fairly close by. Only negative : their restroom was out of order so they were directing folks to a nearby Smart & Final restroom which was nice , but staff didnt know the 4 digit code for it !!

I got my sub fast and everything was fresh. The workers were nice and the store looked clean! There is a parking garage next door which they validate!

Firehouse subs are a long time favorite sandwich chain. Had a special with the hook and ladder sandwich. I ordered via app and pickup adjacent of chef station in to go area. Every sandwich comes with a pickle. The staff were professional and there's condiments and napkins in between drink station. There's dine in seating available and water closet located behind drink station. It's small but has fire house aesthetic in a convenient shopping center and public transit.

Truly the Anime Expo/LA convention center secret spot to get food. No wait when we were there and there's plenty of seating. There's a code for the restroom but it was clean and well kept, big rarity and W in downtown LA especially with a huge event going on. The gentlemen working there were super helpful and friendly and got our order out very quickly. I got the Fire House Hero, medium. This is a roast beef sandwich with sliced smoked turkey breast and honey ham, melted provolone cheese, and light on mayonnaise and deli mustard. It comes with a pickle spear on the side and I got the combo with the Coke freestyle fountain drink and a bag of chips. Tasted divine after starving and walking around the entire day. Can't go wrong with a nicely sized toasted sub with melted cheese and plentiful amount of sliced meats. Went great with the light sauce and the pickle spear on the side added an extra crunch, sourness, and texture. I'm going to have to see if there's a location close to me since it supports our good ol' (Promare - jk) firefighters and they have an app with a loyalty program/point system.

Ordered their Firehouse Meatball delivery and wasn't expecting much but it was SO scrumptious! It hit the spot! Fantastic meatball sub!! Definitely recommend and can't wait to try their other subs!

10/21/2021 One of the few times I get to stop in here and I always get the Italian sub. I don't remember if they ask but my sandwich always comes hot. That wakes up some of the meats and brings out the flavors for a better bite. Many different subs as you can customize a sub too. I like that they do give back a percentage to the firefighters who work hard all year for any crisis we have in this city. Which reminds me, I want a sub right now.

I was set to leave 5 stars. I had T-Mobile free hook & ladder w a purchase offer. This is the closest one to me. It's hard to get to. I called and Raymond told me they validated parking in the joes lot next door. Cool. I go in and Raymond asked if it was me that had called. Love the cs! Raymond was super helpful in helping me place my order and get add ons. I did the celebration cookie and a cup of chili. I asked for lots of cheddar, layers of it. Used the restroom while I waited, happy to say it was clean and stocked. I got my food and went back to my car. I had no cookie O_O and my chili looked cheddarless. I went back downstairs and Raymond said I forgot my cookie. Well... lol. He more than made up for it by giving me 3! That's my kinda cs! The black haired lady making my sandwich apologized for not including it, which I also appreciated. I mentioned the missing cheese and she said she included it. Fair enough. I got back in the car, took a bite of the sando, tastes p yummy! The cookie! Omg I snaccidentally ate the whole thing. They're AMAZING! And the chili was legit too. Tho it didn't have the level of cheddar I envisioned, it had good flavor. I had food from another spot and got the sando for the following day. So I go to eat it today, all excited for the goodness. I take one half out and look over and see a black hair!! I pull thinking maybe a stray black hair fell on it at my house. NOT the case. It was lodged under the other half. I had to pull hard to bring it out. My hair was nowhere near black when I went in, and though there may be stray hairs around, I've never found on one my food at home. Now it's all I can think about. I loved a lot of things til the hair. Now my stomachs just turning.

Overall: 4.4/5 (to go pick up) I came in to order in person and it took about 5-10 minutes before I got my sandwich. I ordered the Hook & Ladder on wheat bread then added a drink/chip combo for an additional $2.99. You can choose whichever chip and drink you want and it's self-serve. The Hook & Ladder is the best sandwich I have had here to date. I could taste every ingredient individually, especially the bread & meat which both had a sweetness that stood out. I was chewing slowly to taste all the flavors of the sandwich. The pickle on the side adds a nice acidity as well.

Menu: prime rib sub - Limited time

Always like firehouse subs. Was in downtown so I stopped by to get some subs for dinner. This branch is further down from fogo de chao. It is next to the parking structure (sixt rental car) of the same building. Staff said that they can validate parking for 30 min. No need to worry about parking and walking long distance in downtown. I Always love the "engineer", and I tried the limited time prime rib steak. The staff are super friendly and very accommodating! I want to give them 10 stars! We ordered 3 subs to go. As they are hot subs so it does take some time to make. They all tasted great. I love the amount of meat and veggies they include. (I asked for extra) Would definitely comeback again!

Served on rye that is double baked and has the most amazing crunch crust. For me, bread with a real crust, nothing better! They also serve other items, full breakfast and lunch menu served during their open hours, but seriously we all come here for the amazing pastrami! To start, they have a parking lot a short walk away, validate for 90 minutes, plenty of time to eat. There can be lines, but I try to time it on a weekday before the lunch crowd hits! The staff is very friendly from the host station to the servers to the cashier. Many have probably worked there for years! They all seem very happy along with the customers chowing down their pastrami! Once inside there is seating at the counter or cozy booths. The menu can be a bit overwhelming, but trust that any way you want your pastrami sandwich, you can have it! I went with a friend, who at the moment is on a pastrami only diet. He was just in NYC, eating at several well known places for pastrami, yet still craving more when he returned! We split a sandwich, with coleslaw on the side so he could build his sandwich his way. I am a purest with pastrami, nothing but mustard! The pastrami here is thick cut, tender, something to ENJOY not bury! They offer a few mustards and other condiments on the table. Yellow is what pairs best with pastrami, IMO. We also ordered Pastrami Chili Fries. Now this was my first time trying them. OMG, I went to heaven! The pastrami of course was amazing, but the gravy/chili was just as amazing. Some heat but not a lot, just perfect! We ended with a slice of carrot cake, it was okay but who comes for the dessert! My favorite thing, after the Pastrami of course, Langer's Ceam Soda from the fountain! OMG the best cream soda. They also offer Dr. Browns by the bottle. Langer's in located in MacArthur Park District. You can see the lake out the windows, nice view. It used to be a very nice part of LA, not any longer, but there is still this GEM of a deli to check out if you are visiting LA or live locally, well worth the drive. Even Hewell Hauser couldn't get enough of it! They also have been received Beard awards and are included in the Michelin Guide. Very impressive for a family owned business! For those that frequent or live on the West Side, Norm's daughter Trisha has a place called Daughter's Deli. Same excellent pastrami and rye bread! I have been there many times and seen Trisha and sometimes Norm there working hard! They are in the process of opening up in the new location soon in Sunset Plaza (former Chin Chin spot) and I plan to frequent it as soon as they open! I am up there once a month!

Order online and have some jump out of the car to pick up your order. There is no seating inside but maybe a chair or two outside. The neighborhood is a little rough around the edges so you may want to get that food to go. We tried three sandwiches and they were all huge. The crispy chicken caesar wrap is phenomenal and I am not one who usually orders this particular sandwich anywhere. It comes with a creamy sauce that I might have drank directly from the little cup. The wrap is packed full of chicken and it is refreshing and excellent. It doesn't look huge but trust me, the wrap is packed full and you will be plenty satisfied. The Antonia sandwich comes with turkey, cheese, avocado, tomato, and garlic aioli. It isn't all that unique a creation but for what it is, it is very fresh and very good. It came loaded with delicious turkey. The Martha sandwich (chicken salad, apples, fennel, argula, herbs, etc.) is on special right now. Personally, I am not a big chicken salad guy but you get a lot of it and the person in our party who ordered it liked it a lot. We also tried the arancini and they were excellent. You get three arancini balls and fantastic vodka sauce on the side. This is a winner. To be honest, practically the entire menu sounds great to me. Keep in mind they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. While you can order online, I'll always choose to go inside so I can browse everything they have to offer. Their selection of fresh pasta salads is fantastic, and the desserts are always tempting. Whether you're craving lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, a chicken Parmesan sandwich, or one of their many other Italian specialties, you really can't go wrong. Be sure to check out the wine section in the back left of the market. It's extensive and absolutely incredible! This is the kind of place that keeps people coming back year after year, and it's easy to see why. Being Italian American and growing up with an Italian mother who loved feeding everyone, this was one of our favorite places to visit together. Those memories make every trip here even more special. My personal favorite is the Godmother sandwich--hands down one of the best you'll ever have. It's packed with flavor, made with quality ingredients, and it's the sandwich I find myself craving every time I come back. One of the things I love most about this place is the atmosphere. It has an energy that immediately makes you think of family. Everyone is genuinely kind, welcoming, and happy to help, making you feel right at home the moment you walk through the door.
