The med salad was the best of the best, fresh greens and a mixture of dressing, feta cheese, etc., including the dressing (Note: request a few extra containers for to go orders). The hummus plate was exceptional, including a variety of salad and delicious hot pita. Rarely do you find a restaurant whereby the drinks are the talk of the town. Excellent meal at Dune. My partner and I got the falafel and hummus plate to share, and somehow left completely full, which already tells you everything you need to know about the portions. Nothing really stood out for going solo besides Dune. Service was straightforward. Menu was comprehensive and what you'd want and expect from a Mediterranean establishment. The interior was small but cozy and well decorated--somewhere between boho chic and French bistro. Food was outstanding. I ordered the hummus and steak plate with an herbal iced tea and both brought me back to life. I know Mediterranean dishes usually incorporate fresh herbs but this particular plating was superb. I saw generous pinches of dill and mint marrying everything together. The assortment of hummus, steak, spring greens, dollops of yogurty goodness, basmati, pickled onions and beets plus the flatbread and a lemon wedge was harmoniously flavorful. I ordered this via Postmates and am so glad I decided to give this a try. The fried chicken plate is so good! And so filling. I love the vibrant colors of all the different items on the plate and how the portion is decent for the price. $20 for the plate was steep at first but I was glad to see how much stuff is included. The fried chicken is perfectly cooked and the hummus is good! The rice and pickled veggies are also a nice touch to finish the dish off. :) I like the flat bread that comes with the order. There's a perfect amount of different flavors of each item on the plate. I've also tried the falafel plate and it was good. I definitely prefer the falafel overall because they were perfectly cooked! Crispy and not dry compared to other places I've tried. The filling is full and the texture wasn't hard. My only complaint to this would be I NEVER get utensils which is frustrating lol. When you order food to go, they place a piece of parchment paper down on the container. The parchment paper interacts with wet ingredients and rips and mixes with the food and ruins the meal. The good: - The woman at the cashier was friendly - The food comes out fast - There is a water jug at the front with clean cups for easy access - The takeaway is packed really well As for what I liked less, the falafel is just average: it isn't bad, but lacks seasoning. Then you are directed to sit if you are dining in. The indoor dining area is super small and is not necessarily friendly towards groups bigger than two. Outside seating may provide more space but not too much more. Food is promptly made once ordered and it's definitely delicious! My group ordered two hummus and grilled chicken plates along with an order of fries and the ROASTED BRISKET GYRO. The plates were very generously served and could easily feed 2 or leave some for leftovers. The chicken and hummus were very flavorful. Looked over the menu and got some of the familiar items. There's what's expected as well as some more expensive things. It's about $16 for a meal. The portions made this not that bad for the price. I got the Hummus And Falafel Plate, a good sampling of the vegetarian items. This came with cabbage, pitas, and a salad. Good service and the food came out fast. It's not like they cooked it half assed though. Falafel was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The rest mixed good together.
