This is no doubt the "Best" hamburger restaurant in Destin! My wife and I are very particular about what and where we eat. Smashburger is absolutely a place you want to visit when in the Destin area. The atmosphere is alive with happy, customer-centric staff; the hamburgers and turkey-burgers are to die for. The vegetables are so fresh and the mouth watering Smash fries made with rosemary, garlic and olive oil are bursting with flavor. This restaurant is under new ownership and management that is so friendly their enthusiasm and smiles will boost even the most depressed! HIGHLY recommend Smashburger for lunch or dinner. Stop by and say hello to Leda, the new owner, she is the personification of the American Dream and entrepreneurship. Nothing like hard, genuine work and accomplishment. Y'all stop and enjoy a dinning experience! read more

The second time I have been to Smashburger in the past year. I gotta say pretty expensive for lunch for two... $32... but it could have been because each of us got a domestic beer, which was $5 each, so that knocked it up quite a bit... however, at least the beers were poured into frozen beer mugs, which helped. Only Miller domestic products... no Budweiser products, which is unreal as Bud Light is the largest domestic beer sold in the US. We each got a single burger and both enjoyed them a lot... with nice grilled onions included, and both thought very good. We shared an order of regular tater tots and an order of the fried onion straws, and both were excellent, but so few tots and onions in both side orders, it was indeed ridiculous. Honestly it was like only half an order of tots and onions from any other establishment. The clerk was friendly and very pleasant and the place clean. Just a suggestion to the management to lower the beer prices down a bit (especially since World of Beer is right next door with a lot cheaper beer) and to also "anti-up" and give a customer a fair amount of sides they order, as one feels a rip off otherwise. Would eat here more often if responsibly priced... it's just not tourists coming into the Commons with money to burn which they have saved for vacation. read more

Was unable to try this place. Website states it opens at 1000. It was 1115 when I came to the door and it was still dark inside.

The black bean burger and the black bean salad are so delicious. I'm not sure why the low ratings. The service and food quality has been outstanding at this location. Give them a try! read more

We go to Smashburger in St. Louis and are always delighted. We came here for a late lunch. Only person in front of us in line. The cashier, belhan, know how to ring up. The manager, Pete, was rushed and rude with the people in front of us. When we ordered Pete rushed us through our order and we paid the 50.00 for 4 of us. We sat down and waited 15 mins at which point belhan brings out one of our four meals. We wait 5 minutes and I finally tell our daughter to eat. So 1:4 people have their food. He beings out meal #2 and it is missing the cheese. I when he put it down I mentioned it was missing the cheese and he says you didn't order cheese rudely. I was shocked at how unprofessional he spoke. So I headed up to the counter, no one there, so went to the side to get some cheese just in time to see belhan mocking me to the manager. I was again shocked and now insulted. Pete asked what I needed and I told him I needed 2 more meals and a side and the cheese for the other burger and a plastic knife as all the silverware was empty. Pete and belhan were confrontational when I asked their names and their manager's name. Pete grabs his cell phone and calls "the manager" to "tell him about me." At which point we are still waiting on two meals-I finally ask if the food on the counter is mine. Of course they don't know and then finally decide it is. So I asked why they aren't bringing it out at which point belhan responds he only has two hands. I will tell u I have never been treated so rudely. Fifty dollars for essentially fast food lunch and an attitude is insane. From the yelp reviews I saw after I can see this is not an isolated incident. The management here is unprofessional and rude. We will never return and definitely will tell everyone not to go here. By the time I got my food my daughter was finished with hers. They had 2 orders to take care of, I can't imagine if they were actually busy. The owner should be ashamed to let people ruin this store and corporate should have some responsibility in making sure common jerks aren't there ruining people's day and wasting their money. read more

I would have given 4 stars because I love Smashburger's food, but the customer service is terrible!!! Walked in and was not greeted. No one was at the register. There were two workers in sight of me in the kitchen. I stood there for almost five minutes without being greeted or asked if I needed help or was ready to order. I know they looked at me. I had to ask them if anyone was going to take my order and only then did one of them call to someone that was out of sight. When that guy finally did come up to the register, he didn't say anything to me to let me know he was ready for my order, so we just kind of stood there for a moment until I said something (he was logging in to the system). No "what can I get for you today?"... just silence. Awkward. He was polite, though. Overall very underwhelming experience wise, but food was great as always. read more

Smashburger - Truffle Mushroom Swiss w/ regular fries - Burgers Near Me - Destin, Florida

Great place great food fast service try the buffalo and blue burger. Staff is super friendly

I was very happy to discover they had black bean burgers. Added goat cheese, spinach and cucumbers to it - yum! I expected the standard pre made frozen black bean frozen patty - nope. They made the black bean burger from scratch. Fast and friendly service. There is seating in side in the back as well as the front and seating outdoors. I definitely will be back. read more

Smash burger create your own 3 animal burger, so delicious with great texture! Service and David was awesome and very kind. Love this place and will come back again to try the turkey burger next! read more

Good smash burger and sweet potato fries. I need to hire more help provide the register is doing cleanup food delivery and taking money. If you can handle every bit of a wait it's worth it read more

In Dallas Smashburger is awesome. We had to wait for 2 cooks who were doing nothing to see us before the other employees all came out from the back. We cleared a table to have a place to sit. And the other tables were never cheated by the time we left. There were spills in chairs and on the floor. Smash fries were cold. But did have good flavor. The manager should be fired and the owner needs to start over. read more

Food was very good some might say it was bussin bussin but unfortunately it can out cold and the milkshakes are nasty

We loved this place! Short wait, friendly staff & great food. Excellent beverage selection.

I had the best vegan burger I have ever had & my family said their burgers were the best ever! They also had brussel sprouts which were pure deliciousness! We love this place! We are on vacay so we don't have this at home, we want to go again before we leave. The kids are begging to go back tonight. I think I might oblige them. The staff are super nice as well. read more

Every table had crumbs on them! We were done eating before my daughter received her food. It was not busy.

Drove 20 minutes to get here. Internet said opens at 10a, but didn't open until 11a. NO sign and no one came outside to mention. At 11:10a still not opened and girl came to door to talk to hostess from wich wich. Girl from Smashburger was extremely rude and didn't have a clue about customer service. She said she assumed we knew they opened at 11a and she said they had to figure out what they are doing. Not good! read more

Wow, what rude, surly staff. While I'm trying to order, I hear about how slow business is, that they should have closed earlier, that's it's not worth $10 an hour to work here. The line just kept getting longer. I would suggest that Smashburger retool their business model where the customers can order at a kiosk and the food is prepared by machines. Don't waste your time or money coming here. read more

Smashburger is over priced, but does have a good selection and decent food. However, this location is poorly managed. It is understaffed and under supplied. They had one cashier and ran out of half their menu, including burgers, at noon on a holiday read more

Only dude with a bunch of females at a table and I walked in and didnt order and sat down with them. A nice gentleman gave me ice water and a small fry on the house. I hate to give this place 2 stars because they honestly have great food. BUT, we ordered 4 different burgers and 3 orders of fries. There was no one else behind us and they weren't busy at all. They brought our first 3 orders out within 5 minutes and everyone was very friendly. We waited another 10 minutes (total of 15 minutes at this point) and still hadn't received our 4th burger or fries. We went inside and showed them the receipt and told them we missing a burger and fries. They said they would make it immediately and bring it out. The sweet manager then came by and checked on us and apologized for the mistake. Everyone up to this point was so sweet and friendly. Then comes a woman named Dasia (sp?). She said she would. Ring our order out as soon as it was made. When she brought the order out, it was just a burger and no fries. I told her we were missing an order or fries and she then made us show her our receipt (again, after showing 2 other employees) and was not very nice about it. She acted like we weren't telling the truth. This one rude employee makes me not want to come back. Again though, the food and rest of the staff were fantastic! Try to go when Dasia (sp?)isn't working and you should have a great dining experience! read more

Went in on 9pm Wednesday night for fried pickles and I walked in and I asked "are y'all still open?" I got ignored and then people started looking up and I said "when do you close" trying to verify that I'm not being the rude person showing up at closing. Finally I get a response that " grill is on til 945." And then I said okay cool so y'all are open til 10? And she says yes finally. After that I decide my order. Then while I'm ordering the kitchen crew said "nothing crispy"...... for real? It's not even close to closing yet and nothing crispy. I hope the people behind me left too cause that's stupid. If I had come 10-15 minutes then I would have been more understanding but not 45 minutes. I deserved my fried pickles. :( I decided to cancel my order and left. Sucks even more cause I'm local. read more

Poor customer service. Dirty tables where customers are expected to wipe down their own tables. Not all employees wear masks and the burgers are just okay, but not worth the price. read more

I love this place. We flew in from California to try this burger. It is better than in and out and anything else we've ever had in the burger world. Everyone needs to try this. I had the classic double with smash fries and it was the best burger I've ever had. It's perfect portion size and fresh ingredients. It took about 8 minutes to get it and it's worth the wait since it's all homemade. They explained to us that all ingredients are prepared freshly every morning. It's very well known burger place her. Hotel manager and people on the beach recommended this and they were right. read more

This is my favorite go-to burger place in Colorado and it's here in Florida! I love their black bean veggie burger and LOVE getting a chocolate malt on the side. :D read more

The food here is really good, however it takes forever to receive. I recently visited this food establishment and not only waited 45 minutes for my food but watched everyone who previously ordered get their food before me. The customer service is horrible. The young lady who took my order was rude and dull. There were customers looking for help and assistance and the employee's simply ignored their concerns. Although the food is good, the cost is high for the amount you get. The burger is thin and the fries are scarce. I will not be returning, Jonny's Rockets next door is much better. read more

Stopped in for lunch with my family today, 7/7/20. We stood in line for 10 minutes behind another customer while the young lady taking orders chatted-up and flirted endlessly with two young men ordering at the front. One male employees was at several places behind the counter and food prep area with no mask on. The cashier had her mask pulled down to her chin. We bailed out (1:20 P.M.) so I can't report on the food, only the customer service standard. The food was very good when I ate here a year ago. read more

When we entered the restaurant the manager was taking money out the register. He never acknowledge us standing there. He turned around asked for someone to come out the back and stood there talking to her. Then he asked if someone else register was closed out. 5 minutes passed and then he came back and asked what y'all need? REALLY!! Then he took our order and then he said something smart to a female and she looked at us. When the food came she tossed it on the table. Service was horrible. read more

My family are frequent visitors to smashburger in Texas so we stopped at this one and the service was so slow about 30 mins to get food. When it came out the burgers were cold and fries not crispy. The owner of this franchise needs to be more involved. Hire good people and follow proper procedure. Fast food chains have figured it out you guys should too. read more

Rude staff (not all of them). Manager Cassie, rude to customers, and other staff in front of customers. If you hate your job that much, go work somewhere else. Decent food, at high price. Need to learn to smile. Bathroom was nasty. We won't be back. I wish I could rate it lower. read more

Really love smashburgers black bean and avocado burger! They have great food, just pricey! I've been to a few and don't mind paying more if it comes out in a timely manner with a clean environment and friendly staff, but this place lacks most of that. They do offer a military discount which is great, and have given us multiple coupons for their mess ups- but after so many, free food isn't worth it anymore. Still go occasionally for that black bean burger though. Just be willing to wait a while, and may have to ask a few times for items. read more

They ran out of meat and the manager decided to close the entire store. All I wanted was some fries but they wouldn't even serve me that. There wasn't even a sign or anything saying they were closed and this was an hour before closing. read more

Very good burgers and a good selection for kids. I really liked the thin and crispy fries, and the bun was tasty and soft. Delicious burger but kind of messy to eat. Get plenty of napkins. ZERO STARS!! My husband has been asking me to eat here for months but the reviews left less to be desired. So today I finally caved and compromised over my first choice which would have been Zoes. My experience began with a RUDE cashier that seemed inconvenienced by working to earn a wage. Then the struggle to find a clean table and dodging the food on the floor as to not get avocado smashed into my boots. Then the restroom with the broken soap dispenser on the floor and the angry wait staff yelling and slamming trays and trash can lids! The kicker was when the waitress brought the soap dispenser that was on the floor in the mens restroom out and set it on a table to try and fix it! Disgusting!!! I will never recommend this to anyone I know and I will never be back!!! I hope the Destin Commons does something about this poor excuse for an overpriced burger joint soon! read more
