Start off by saying this is a chain restaurant, and was curious to try Mexican food in the area. The menu has a ton of options. I order the wet burrito with steak, it was good. I anticipated the burrito having the rice and beans inside the burrito (that's typically how it's done on the west coast) however it was on the side. The rice was not very flavorful. the beans were good. The Camarones rancheros were great and flavorful. Also order the tacos however they were bland. They do have a great drinks options. Cyndi had mahi mahi tacos, which was served with a bean soup. I had a steak quesadilla with rice and beans. Both dinners were excellent. The Margaritas were delicious and were served with a floating fresh flower. Our waitress was sweet and very efficient. Exciting ambiance and happy hours 4pm to 7pm. OMG so we're here on vacation, we were just looking for somewhere to eat after a long drive and by luck we chose this place!! First when we walked in and the hostess German greeted us with a friendly and attentive Customer service. We sat in Tikis section and she was so sweet! Very attentive and sense of urgency. That's only the beginning but the food was DELICIOUS!!! Idk how this place is only a 3.5 I rate everything me and my family got a 10/10! We started with the queso blanco! We had to order two it was soo good that it was finished almost as quick as it got to the table! I got the chille relleno with beef inside my kids all got Mac and cheese, cheese pizza, and quesadilla! My dad got menudo and loved it just wished it had a little more meat! Dined at Pepito's on a friends recommendation and I'm going to give it a solid 4 stars. The shrimp quesadillas were good and chalked full of cheese and shrimp. The rice was more mushy, so not sure if it was overcooked or not. The restaurant was very clean and the service was really good up till we wanted our check. Let's start with the massive portion sizes. I split the burrito with one other person, and we both had leftovers. The size didn't take away from the amazing flavor profile. One of the picks for Mexican food while visiting Destin. We were gonna visit the one location that was within walking distance of our motel only to learn it closed when we walked there. We did opt to go to this location which luckily it was open. The inside was kinda dark but very clean. We were able to get seated and waited on rather quickly beings we went during a slow time of the day. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and patient beings we did take a little time deciding what we wanted. We did get complimentary chips and salsa. I ordered a Queso appetizer and a ground beef quesadilla lunch, my friend ordered a burrito of some kind, I forget. Our food didn't take long to arrive to our table. The Queso, OMG probably the best Queso ever. Maybe even better than what we have back home in Kentucky. My ground beef quesadilla was not quite what I expected. It looked more like a taco than a quesadilla. I proceeded to eat it anyway and even put some Queso in it because there was just too much meat. My friend enjoyed their burrito. Next we got margaritas. I got the Bonita and my friend got the tropical flavored. We both got the smallest ones and honestly I thought mine was a bit strong, I could barely taste any fruit. My friend enjoyed the tropical flavored one. We used our own straws to try each others drinks and I wish I did order the tropical flavored one, oh well. Overall, we enjoyed our meals and left full and happy. Definitely a great Mexican place to try in the Destin area. Will definitely be back when visiting again. read more

I'd like to help raise the rating for Pepito's because they truly do deserve better! We had a very nice lunch there during our vacation in Miramar Beach in June 2025. The restaurant is clean and well-designed. The service was lovely - friendly and prompt. I had the seafood quesadillas - delicious! Husband enjoyed chicken quesadillas. The order was ready in a very timely manner. The burritos were so good!! Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had! I consumed it so fast I didn't even get pictures of my food! They start off with complimentary salsa and chips and also bring waters out. The salsa is top notch. Full of flavor and just a little bit of spice! There is food for everyone here. My brother isn't a fan of Mexican food but was able to order their. Chicken Alfredo and wow was it good! Tender moist chicken full of flavor and the sauce...yum! They also have a large variety kids menu. My mom, dad, and myself order chimichangas. The hostesses were lovely and we were quickly helped, and we opted to sit at the bar to enjoy our dinner. The bartender was Ricki, and it was very impressive to see him handle such a crazy holiday weekend lunch rush. Everyone on the staff was absolutely killing it and the food was delicious as well. One more shout out to Ricki as he prepared a very wonderful margarita flight for me (which I am very sorry for ordering while it was so busy but I am on vacation pls forgive me) additionally, there were two *ssholes sitting at the bar and the staff still served them with a smile. The garlic mojo shrimp had a good portion, probably a bit under seasoned. Just average overall. The shrimp cocktail was good. Plenty of shrimp however it wasn't jumbo. Perhaps a supply chain issue?
